I do the same thing now that I'm catching up on my rap music because it both sounds so different and the flow and rhythm of their voice is different to I can't keep in pace with how their talking, even if its slow because I'm trying to stay with them and I'm either ending up to far ahead or behind in my brain. I wouldn't call it demonic, they are more representing the darkness of life in a setting. When it comes to slipknot, they are all portraying an inner personality, for example, what they would be like if life's suffering corrupted them and they embraced it.
The reason the screaming is muffled is because Corey and the guy with the long nose mask share the screaming so that Corey can save his voice for the concert
