My son has a new Polo Beats in Flash Red with the 95bhp DSG. He’s quite tall at 6’2”, so other small cars such as the Corsa and Fiesta felt a little cramped for him. He absolutely loves his Polo. Extremely comfortable and spacious, peppy but efficient engine, handling feels planted and assured, with a surprising level of refinement. A very nice car, with awesome stereo and modern looks for the young driver. Great review and spot on in my opinion, thanks 👍🏼😊
Bought our New Polo 1.0 TSI 70 KW petrol Comfortline the end of May 2019 as our daily driver : very satisfied thus far thank GOD - quiet and economical - solid & well built.
I've had one for around 1 year. 1.0 TSI petrol. Usually get 55-60mpg driving like an old lady. No issues so far. Interior seems quite cheap but it's very light and fuel efficient. Touchscreen with Android auto and Waze is a godsend.
i think the polo drives pretty fun, if you have fun shifting and if you dont really want to speed too much. noone seems to mention that the first and second gear are pretty long
That's always the case on cars, but imo you can at least pull through the first gear abit. We had a c200d company car and the first gear is absolutely unusable, to drive normally you always had to instantly shift to 2nd once the car is rolling. Compared to this the polo is great.@@harrywhite9030
Driving this exact same spec as a company car for the past 12 months now. Really comfortable car (33k KM's in 12 months), it is sporty when you want to. The only thing I don't like is that it does not have full-led lighting. Just seems a bit old-school from a 2019 car not to have full-LED. I get 67 MPG (approx 4.1l/100km) when I drive on the highway, which is about 750-800 km on one full tank of petrol.
Just a correction. The boot space is close to 300l instead of 351l in this beats model due to the subwoofer at the back, making it unable to lower the boot floor and thus less boot space.
If a small car is cheap on price then I would expect cheap materials . Most of the small cars are overpriced and you still get cheap materials mixed in .
I drive the cheapest Polo, because I'm cheap. Less tech, less to repair. It's a tool, not my home, so the "cheap" interior quality is not relevant. If I wanted "luxury" interior I would have bought a premium brand; Audi A1. However, a premium brand also has premium lifetime cost. So that's no option.
My 115 sel dsg drives well most of the time but at v low speeds on rough roads the box sounds and feels as if it is about to disintegrate. My other main gripe is the lack of a grab handle for the driver. Important when you are old and stiff, ss are many of the Polo's drivers. Also, VW have seen fit to grace the interior with a fetching but pointless strip of light across the dash at night while leaving the ignition slot unlit and hard to find. Peculiar sense of priorities. Doubt if I'll buy another one.
Cheap plastics in the polo? Are you for real man? The polo is an inexpensive small car. Have you ever sat in any of the polo’s rivals? You’ll see what cheap plastic really is.
I get it's grown up from before, but somehow I'm not impressed, for a supermini I'd have the Seat Ibiza (same bloody car I know) or better still, the new 208
This summer we bought a new Polo 1.0 TSI DSG as our daily driver . Very pleased with it.

I have the same car and I can not agree more with you
Very curious your opinion regarding what would be top 3 Polo models ? And how much is insurance?

Did I just hear him say 'cd player'? If it has, then it has one of the best audio systems than most cars. I am literally sold!!!
Thanks for speaking so clearly. A very good presentation!
Glad you enjoyed the video! Don't forget to subscribe :)
I had to scroll way to far for such a concise, clear, well-presented review.
Great review. Got Flash red Beats 95 bhp, and I am very satisfied. Golf Lite, indeed. ;)
Best review I've seen, well presented and plenty of information.
Thanks Graham!
Man this channel reviews are so good! love it!

I find that first gear is far too short.

Great review. Very precise commentary - fair and balanced. Can't wait to get a GTI in the future.
Thanks Mark! Enjoy the GTI.

White silver metallic like my new Polo. Love it
What would be top 3 Polo models?
And what would you guys say is cost of the insurance? Last but not least is polo better to golf? Or fiesta ?

The Polo has a pretty quality build
All supermini are cheaply built.
ah i got this 95Hp one as well , but the transmission is automatic with small pedals on the steering wheel for sequential gear changes.
So good to keep repeating 'boy racers should definitely go for the Fiesta every time!'. It keeps the insurance down for the rest of us .😊

Needs a refresh of spec. new corsa and clio have led lights as standard now and the renault has a higher quality interior. But all overpriced
Great review James and nice looking car. Merry Christmas to you and the team :-)
I haven’t found VW cars to be reliable, and find they are expensive to fix too
I have the Polo Gti+ Dsg , Love it , great fun to drive
Polo......must be minted to buy one !
this one has cd player 😭 mine doesn't 😢 I have plenty of cds but can't play them with my polo... so sad
You can just convert your cd to flac or wav and play off the phone

How reliable is the VW polo?
Very
Awesome review well done buddy :) @Parkers Cars
Thanks David!
Would love to see a 2 door version of it. GTI.
I don’t like cars that have their touchscreen sticking out which don’t blend in the dashboard . .
I get it's grown up from before, but somehow I'm not impressed, for a supermini I'd have the Seat Ibiza (same bloody car I know) or better still, the new 208
A lot better than the Golf 8
1.6 tdi 320Nm of torque???
55 mpg is very good
I feel like the music is too loud LOL
music too loud
Passenger door doesn't open very wide.
Why is this guy calling it the ‘pole - o’ 😂
then tf you call it "poo-low"?
how the hell else would you say it?
No one in right mind will pay for scratch plastic when they are paying 20k for a vw
15k for Highline ;)
BrateTebra123 t.z. Streptomicin za muski rod Yh not for the one I want mate 👊🏿👊🏿
i want the gti :(
Stop the music - cannot the presenter or I go deaf. And the sound gets worse as the video goes on and on and on...
Just to let you know, the presenter can't actually hear the music.
Only occasional music. That is nitpicking!
You forgot to fully show the back of the car. WTF
still making ICE CRAP unbelievable !
You are driving on the wrong side!
That would explain all the angry looks...
That is because the wheel is on the wrong side
