Ultimately I think that's what will end the auctions when people learn to surrender their horses to rescue organizations, especially those that are mentored under HPHS
Yes they definitely do need that extra layer of protective fencing, good idea. They know exactly what they're doing and why. This rescue center is smart.
Corey’s really awesome with the horses and that horse looked relax and comfortable with him You have a great team and the horses donkeys and mules are lucky to have ended up with you guys
The new fencing with barbed wire surprised me but I also understand the need to keep the animals safe from those who may be intent on causing trouble. I look forward to seeing the video which documents the intake of the 47 just rescued; there were some very extreme cases there - such suffering - and I am so grateful those horses are with HPHS. Keep up the great work!
Yes, I was surprised they needed barbed wire fencing to keep people off the property. Wonder if we'll get the intake for the 47 horses since the media team was gone and they said this video was to cover that time.
No worries. The home team did a great job. I wondered why some of the more familiar faces weren't around but other than this, until you said something no one would have guessed; this episode was seamless, and the fact that they were able to do it with only one camera and a pocket mic is a testament to a really great team. 😃 😃 😃 🙂 😺 😻 😍 😄 😃 🙂
I had a 3 year old Thoroughbred who had EPM. She would do some weird things sometimes like randomly bite at her sides and shake her head. Never in my life have I owned a horse who hated to go forward/jump. I was sitting in the arena one day with my friend, thankfully feet were out of the stirrups. She reared up suddenly for no reason and flipped over on top of me. We got her tested and found out she had EPM and she was given to a friend as a pasture horse. It's nice to hear there are some treatment options available now even if its not 100%.
I just had to look that up.. Yes glad to hear of treatment options..Hard to believe the opossum feces does that to a horse..Dr Scott is awesome I learn so much from this man
I'm really happy to see Corey, he's doing amazing work with that horse, and you can tell that he's here for the Animals First. Being comfortable speaking for the camera is a skill that comes with time. If you put me up there I'd just freeze up I'm camera shy XD
I have watched you all for the past year. You are all amazing how you help all the horses and donkeys/mules you have gotten from auctions and ones dropped off to you. Unfortunately you can't save all of them. I do truly understand. This is a sad but a happy time for them. No more suffering. I think they should be recognized if they have to be given the last act of kindness. No where have I seen their names noted somewhere special. Is there a wall where they can be recognized. A wall of fame maybe. Just my opinion only a thought. They were heros too. The other animals get adopted. And some are followed up upon. Can we recognize those who cross over the 🌈 rainbow 🌉 bridge. Sincerely much love and hugs.... Roseann Aquisto.
Well done! These episodes are the highlight of my week!!! Thank you all for the work that you do, especially sharing your knowledge and mentoring other organizations to expand the work that needs to be done in animal rescue.
Love what you are doing! It's soul crushing to know how much suffering these animals endure. You are making such a difference in these animals lives, and the lives of your followers who are being educated in the affects of animal cruelty. I just wish and hope though that this love is being extended to all animals - including pigs, chickens, cows, goats, etc. It would be very hypocritical and conflicting to love and save these animals, but throughout the day, consume these other animals as food. All animals feel pain and love. Because we care for one animal shows that we have the compassion and empathy to care for another animal. Every time we eat an animal, we are paying other people to do the many types of torturing for us. I sincerely hope that your organization and your viewers are aware of this, and because of you beautiful channel, are trying to shift to a non animal consumption diet and lifestyle.
Flash has a marking in white that almost looks like a baracuda or a dolphin .Very unique. And makes him even more flashy so he fits his name . Its so awesome that y'all was able to adopt out so many and find homes for the kittens to where they will have loving families to live with fur-ever 😀🐺🐴. Have a blessed week all y'all
Great job guys - I didn't notice any difference in the quality of filming. Also I think we need to have a fan mail session for doc soon. Bayer looked so attached and comfortable with Cory maybe he should keep her x
Love you all! Editing was seamless. I noticed not as much activity but didn’t think anything of it. Looking forward to the release for the latest rescue. 😍😍
Hi again Really encouraging people are learning about you more as time goes on to where they'd prefer surrendering with you then taking their horses mules donkeys to an auction. Getting the word out about the slaughter pipeline surely has to help. So many people don't know about or understand what can actually happen beyond an auction or even what a kill buyer is and does. Getting the word out as you do I believe to be a hugely important part of what you do to help and save lives... As always thx for sharing and all the most special work you all do!
It’s such a shame that this is a reality, and you have to be one ahead at all times. Keeping the animals safe is Priority, looks isn’t. Well done Team xxx
Miniture horses and ponys are predisposed to Cushing disease! They get long, sometimes curly hair! I have had two minis with it! The best medicine for it is pergalide. But both my mini's hated that medicine! 🐴💕
Hi to u all CJ from New Zealand here u guys rock and awe great 👍 work an jobs u do u make a world of different it great to see changes to all the animals u Tke in keep it up to u all an the team it awesome to see the progress thinking of u all always an I help out as much as can tke care always to u all an the team 🤗
@@moremahalo9574 it's more likely because I encourage his winter fur coat instead of blanketing him. He only wears a blanket if it's -30. Plus, most minis are from the Shetland breed, and they are normally wooly.
I couldn’t tell they were gone. I think they did great and absolutely love every episode!! And can’t wait until it’s my turn ! Oh and when Tawny just said “ hold your horses” lol. Just thought that was funny 😄 wish I could adopt Bayer ❤️🐴❤️
Such a pity you need to protect the property in this way. But, a necessary evil none the less. Also a great way to keep coyotes and other predators out other than humans. Can I ask if you have anyone that stays over night on the property. Security cameras would also be a good idea especially as you are becoming more popular on social media. Night time security would be a must with you caring for so many animals, never mind the machinery and medications you have there. Keep up the great work. You all keep my faith in humanity alive xXx
I'm mostly not a fan of barbed wire. But, you're putting it way on top of a tall fence where animals mostly likely can't hurt themselves on it, so that's fine.
I was wondering that too. Is there a problem? Or is it just the nuts who don’t like that Horse Plus is willing to euthanize the horses that are suffering? If I had to guess, that would be the issue. Some people are not realistic. Is it better to end suffering and put that money and effort into horses that will actually benefit.
Skydog sanctuary, a wild horse rescue, has had people attempt to mess with their horses & fencing. They've had to up security because people from the internet take things to far. It's crazy.
bless that lady's heart for coming in and getting TWO donkeys AND a kitty.
I just love the donkeys. I'm so glad they rescue donkeys too.
A little different yes, but mentoring others to rescue 👏👏👏🎉🥰🙌
Rescuing is always the priority. Teaching & sharing ❤ thank you 🙏 ✌️
That pony is a little spitfire. She'd be such a cute pasture pet.😻
Beautiful animals and wonderful people who work with these amazing creatures ❤️🤗🙏🏻
Glad you didn't take that extra test, Doc. You're essential to Horse Plus. 🙂
We've got a whole lot more horses needing good vets than we do elephants. :)
I'm glad that some people are surrendering their animals to have a second chance instead of sending they to auction
Ultimately I think that's what will end the auctions when people learn to surrender their horses to rescue organizations, especially those that are mentored under HPHS
I am so excited to see the transformations. It just proves that love and proper care like food make a world of difference

Agreed. Corey seems like a patient trainer.

Thank you for all that you do.🐎❤️🇦🇺
Yessss- Kopertox - you get it on your hand and still smell it a week later 😂😂😂
So pleased for the donkeys to be rehired together that’s lovely 😊
I feel good knowing that my latest small donation paid for about 3 square inches of your new fence.(Lol). Best wishes from Perth, Western Australia.

Great well rounded episode!

“Why didn’t you become a zoo veterinarian?” He already works at HPHS. That is “zoo” enough for him. 😜🤪😆🤣😆
Ya'll did an excellent job! Nice fence. Have ya'll had trespassers?
I love seeing the feline adoptions. Just wondering if they are spayed and neutered.
Yes, they are. They showed that in a previous video
Flash is gorgeous. Why did someone snip his tail, crazy folks for sure. If I was in TN I would adopt him.
Sometimes the tail hair is chewed off by other horses, or goats/cows. May happen in starvation circumstances.
@@kathycarbone7545 it looked too straight for that reason :(
@@blessthisemptynest They chewed up to ( and a little beyond) the tailbone. Yeah goats/cows could do that.
Someone probably sold the hair
