    I'm thinking this bike is a very sweet spot in the line up. What a realistic, useable bike. I'm a glutton for too much, so naturally I love the 1000 the most of all. But this bike gets a big fat YES from me.

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly, a useable bike! So many of us get caught up in the over $20k, 200+ horsepower bikes that we forget about how much fun you can have on something like this. I do wish it was a bit cheaper but that's with everything these days and plus, I'm just cheap lol!
      Hahaha the 1000 part cracked me up and I'm right there with you! I mean, how can you not love the way the 2021 CB1000R Black Edition looks? None of us really need the power but just look at it!

      Dumb question, if you don't mind me asking... Are "big" bikes like this pretty rare in Thailand? Normally, I only see smaller displacement bikes being ridden over there from the videos you see floating around online and then you'll see a larger bike like this every now and then but they don't seem to be near as common.

Coming from only super sport bikes not sure if I want to continue to be a hooligan or take a more mature route 😅 roughly they are around the same price range so definitely torn. 😭

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yessir, they've got some winners on their hands in some segments that were really dead as of a few years ago so we're definitely moving in the right direction. But, like you said... we need more scooters! A couple of 50 / 150 models just isn't enough when we used to have a lineup with 50 / 80 / 110 / 150 / 250 / 300 / 600 lol. I don't think we need a million different models as we don't have the market here but we need more than what we've got right this moment, that's for sure!

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And to boot she's a looker too! ...especially in that gray. If you really love that color though, it's not entirely difficult to ship parts over from overseas. I've done it in the past when a color scheme I really wanted wasn't imported into the USA. It would probably run you around $1,000-$1,200'ish for everything OEM and then you could turn around and sell your stock color to recoup some of the cost. But at the end of the day it is more of a headache and it could be solved easily if American Honda didn't gyp us on color options lol.

    owning CB650R since 2019, 12.000km on it now. It's been good, but im going to get a custom map for it, getting bit tired of the throttle respons. By all means this isnt the worst in that regard, miles better than early MT09's etc, but still it isnt how it should be, throttle respons is off and certain parts of the map is flat, around 7-8000 rpm there is s flat spot in the power curve on this bike. All gettting fixed by a custom ECU map soon. Keeping stock exhaust since all aftermarket besided teh akra's looks like crap. And the akra that i want is not road legal here...to much money to throw away if i get pulled over.

    It's colored "jeans blue" because supposedly it mimics the color blue of jeans. It's not called blue jeans because it's not a pair of jeans colored blue.

    Honda not offering enough color options is a real turnoff. There are times I love a bike in a certain color only to find it is only available like that in Europe.

    • @kignacio
      @kignacio 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. And Honda is the worst. UNLESS YOU WANT A GROM. 4 choices there! Wtf Honda. The fact that the parts and colors have already been made and aren’t available in North America is the stab in the back. Europe will straight up get higher performance/spec’d models than us. Currently they have the CB300R blacked out with better suspension. CB1100 in the past among others.

      Honda, like their cars, has realised they are a building platform. They flood the market with options. You dont wanna be creative get a suzuki.

      I wouldn't say discouraging as we have had more smaller and medium sized bikes released in the US over the last few years but we need more. More is always better lol!

      @@HondaProKevin I remember 2008 between economic crisis and fuel reaching $4 a gallon was what started a huge demand for smaller bikes. Suddenly people realized they were spending too much for gas and daily driving vehicles too excessive for single passenger no cargo trips. Before that the motorcycle market in America was so high end by global standards.

      But I guess that's why Europe is full of smaller more fuel efficient cars.

    The reason why there is only one color in the US market is because bike is not that common of a vehicle in here. Especially if you look at the bikers community many of them talk shit on a Japanese bike like their American bikes are more reliable or better (it's not - not in the US and not in any other country in the world. A Murican bike can never outcompete a Japan in reliability so accept it American bike fan bois and gurls) so it makes sense to not import a lot of option in here cause it's a loss cause anyway.
