I use dual sport tires in the rain with 0 problems. Of course, it's recognizing you won't brake as well and you'll be more prone to skid, but everything else is the same.
This is the motorcycle i'm taking my lessons on and it's a great bike. Gives me a lot of confidence in making 8's and the breaking is amazing. Unrestricted the exhuast is amazing.
Oh man this bike is such a blast! I was entering a dual carriageway off a roundabout earlier. As I got near the top of 1st, doing about 55mph, I was just about level (still pulling ahead) with the car that was ahead of me at the roundabout. Quick flick into second, open wide and whooosh... As if that car was stationary! And it feels absolutely planted.
I like how smooth restricted version actually is. I wish I could actually restrict it to restart my skills, but here in US we have none of them in stock at dealerships.
I'm sure if you asked your local Honda dealers nicely they'd special order you an A2 restriction kit. It's just a set of flow restrictors amd a reflash to fix the mixture. Nothing complicated, it should take them half an hour.
The rumble in idle revs is amazing. I have te same bike, love that baby screaming at higher revs. Mine is still restricted as your and I am curious to see how it ride unrestricted. Great video! Stay safe, cheers ✌🏼
Very nice video with an awesome bike. Keep up the good work mate. You dont need crazy batshit hooligan driving for aan good quality and entertaining video
Some brave riding there. The roads looked terrible! You was giving it some! It was your dads bike? Glad you got it home safe. Decent anyway. I’m getting one. I passed my test in one of these. The sound is awesome!
You need a stereo microphone rather than the mono mic you are using to pick up as much as that sweet exhaust note as possible. I own a CB650R myself and the purr of that 4 stroke engine coupled with that lovely looking and sounding stock exhaust was a big selling point for me. Still though i am looking into getting a full Akrapovic exhaust system which sounds absolutely savage. Maybe get one for your dad for his birthday or something,he would be well happy with you.
Same here Bro (Kiwi here^^). Cb650R and got it because it was the only 4 cylinders LAMS and just LOVE the sound of 4 cylinders. Icing on the cake: It turns out to be a great bike!!!
I really have to force myself to like the Engine sound I really enjoy the Exhaust sound of a aftermarket one and if legal in your Country without a db killer unfortunately in my country db killers are required so i have to work with my akrapovic how it is
Sup bro, any idea where i can find those tank grips? I absolutely loved the bike with the white from the tank and the black from the grips and buckle protector.
Nice sound and what a wonderful work you've done with this video! May I know how tall you are? I'm very interested in this bike but it might be too tiny for me
The A2 restriction is achieved through an inlet flow restrictor. The function of the ECU reflash is solely to update the fuel map so it's not running silly rich. To that end, you lose the most power at the top end, while the bottom is more or less untouched. Unfortunately this engine doesn't make as much torque at the bottom end as she does at the top even when she's unrestricted, so the bulk of the joy remains off limits to the A2 crowd 😞
Hey man really nice video and beautiful scenery! Just got a question since I’m interested in this bike, did you get it in a LAM restricted power version by default or did they specifically installed a restriction kit at the time of your purchase? I simply want to get a full power one lol would really appreciate it if you could let me know! Thx!
@@JayJankulovski Alright that's bad news... but thank you for the info! I'll ask around Honda dealers around Sydney see if they can get those restrictions removed! Have to say the British Commonwealth countries have such strict licensing requirements compare to the ones we have in the States lol anyway love the vids, subscribed!

Love the video, such a cool clean bike to ride, its one of my choices to buy as a next bike at 18 so it has to be restricted and in that way i wanted to ask how does the restriction feel, i cant quite tell form the video, are you holding it down on the 2 and 3 gear or is it just out of power and goes up slowly, thanks ! keep up the good work !
thank you man! and yes i am going full throttle from 2nd to 3rd and it yeah it just takes a while because it’s restricted, might have to get it unrestricted someday
Hi mate! Question, how do you record the engine sound. Is it done via your external mic of the gopro mounted inside the helmet or via a separated sound recorder?
Yes the engine is picked up from the microphone inside of my helmet :) I made a video of my exact gopro setup/audio. th-cam.com/video/RrsZEWNYHdA/w-d-xo.html
Awesome video! I have the gunpowder black 2023 cb650R Love the bike! Its my first bike ever, can't have enough of it. Btw where is this beautiful place you a riding?
It handles fine, i don’t usually go that fast for very long cause the max speed limits in Aus are around 100-110 and not tryna loose my license but it can definitely handle it. Only thing is cause it’s a naked bike you cop a lot of the wind🤣

@@ElCoco1984 So does that mean you have to replace the entire exhaust headers and everything?? Why couldn't you just cut the exhaust off at the end of the headers?
