1. Very enjoyable 'interview' format, where we hear the subject expert without also waiting through asking of the question. 2. Effective video editing, switching between parts of the subject, sometimes at remarkably appropriate points during the discussion. 3. Outstanding subject aircraft-- this is the kind of airplane that excites this owner of a Skystar Pulsar III.
The company is amazing. The VL3 is one of the modern ultralight/ LSA aircraft. Unmatched and unreached by the competition. To me one of the best aircraft products in the ultralight market, you can buy. Of course it’s money, but for this high end quality and performance still a bargain. The design and high finishing standards are outstanding. Great story behind the history, that makes the success of today I guess. Hopefully we will see a four seater some day also. Good luck to the way in the future. Keep on going. Great work and congrats to the whole JMB Team.
What a nice video Jolmer! great to have a look in the factory and see the creation of the VL3! :D I will definitely go visit them in the future! Looking forward to part 3! Cheers
Great insights in this manufacturer and I like the idea they make everything in their own factory. So you could order one in a nice Frysian jacket!! I can already imagine the blue stripes and red hearts all over 😁 Looking forward to your next episode and see you flying more HP's!!! Keep up your excellent work, Jolmer! Awesome channel and your filming and editing skills are amazing!!! 😃🤙
Great video! What a lovely company!!! I can imagine that you would leave the Netherlands if they would offer you a job 😉 To bad we couldn't be able to visit JMB when we were in the Czech Republic last week, Jolmer.
This is my new dream aircraft after seeing one a EAA Airventure 2021. I'd love under wing baggage pods that can easily be added/removed. One carry-on bag in each pod.
@@ForFunFlyer Yes, very cool! I think that baggage pods would turn this from a fun toy into a practical cross country machine since you could take an extra carry-on per wing. Doubt the drag would reduce cruise speed by even 10 knots.
@@ForFunFlyer Plus, removable baggage pods would just look cool! $300k for an aircraft is within my reach and having true baggage capability transforms it from a toy...which I can't justify on its own.
@@ForFunFlyer Other aircraft that are similar in speed and size. I have a Glasair SII-TD 0-360. Mine seem a little longer and thinner. It’s not a complaint just an observation. I wonder if they are a little stiff at higher airspeed? It’s a wonderful aircraft the wing roots and the tight gaps being a few secrets to its high speed imho.
@@ashsmitty2244 Oh, no offense taken 😉 The ailerons are perfect sized. I flew this VL3 manually low and medium fast, and the conplete control of the plane felt just like it should. At high altitude and speed, we enabled the auto pilot, to simulate a far cross country flight. So no, the ailerons aren't too big to my taste, just perfect in all flight regimes 👌🏻
Not even 5% of a copy. A totally different airplane. And much more developed. High performance brings a special design, the way it looks. The origin is from the Czech Republic and far away from Lanceair. They did not have this in mind for sure.

It was! 😀 Thanks again for having me! 👍🏻
Tks for doing this, I love seeing anything new about the VL3. Nashville TN USA
You're welcome! Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
Wow, what an amazing factory. I can't wait to see the 915 video. Thanks Jolmer
Thanks Giles! 👍🏻

👍☑️ Very interesting. Waiting for the next one.

Thanks! 👍🏻 Did you watch the other two videos from this mini series too? 😉
Great mini series about the VL3, thanks. (Phoenix AZ)

You are really capturing the spirit of the factory and what a sleek machine! Good stuff Jolmer! 😎👍👏

Looked funny when the gear retracted at the end

Is a updated Lancair 320.
I’ve noticed the ailerons are larger than usual.
Compared to other versions of the VL3 or other aircraft?

35 years ago I bought a Lancer 235. JMB is pretty much a copy!
Don't know that plane well. I do know the VL3 is a light, fast and capable plane, but that's just my two cents.

Do you have a clue about airplane design? Did you calculate any wing yet, stability profile, etc. Get an update!
