Love it. My dad passed away many years ago and one thing I really miss is his stories. This made me really nostalgic. Great stories! Thank you, sir.

Great old school Police stories!! Thank you for sharing!! My father and I were both Law Enforcement Officers. He retired in 99 with 33 years of service and I came on in 92 and retired in 2018. We both had some crazy stories and were lucky enough to live through our experiences. I can recall being involved an incident with him when I was civilian. I believe at that time I was only 18 years of age. He was working a Special Duty assignment for a restaurant and overheard screaming coming from a nearby hotel parking lot. There was a tree line that separated the two properties. He orders me to stay back while he finds of position of cover in the tree line. While I’m standing next to him we observed three subjects removing long guns from the trunk of their vehicle. My father draws down on all three subjects, and disarms them, while I contacted additional units for back up. We were so lucky that no one was injured or killed during this incident. Can’t believe dad was able to hold all three suspects at gun point until backup arrived. This is when I knew I wanted to follow in footsteps.

1991-2021 here. What a blast it was, except for the naked PCP fight years! This was a fun old school and new school podcast. I knew it was time to get out when they took away carotid restraints and made body cameras mandatory. It was also a bummer when “surround and call outs” became the norm over kicking doors and finding the bad guy.

another great one and just found your channel. Loved everything but really loved the stories from Bill. That snow story really cracked me up but also showed his deescalation skills along with how different people were even on PCP to have respect for peace officers.

I first drove a bare bones 1997 Ford Taurus. The red/blue lights usually worked. But it was a police car! I loved every minute of it!

I started at Dos Palos Police Dept at the age of 19. I was a contract reserve and I was paid 8.50 an hour. They didn’t have enough guns for me, so I borrowed my Dad’s (not old enough to purchase a gun in Ca.) Colt Python. I had no idea what it was at the time other than everyone would start to make fun of me for carrying a revolver, until they noticed it was a 6in Colt Python. We had a “FEAR Team, Felony Entry And Response”. Good times.

What a coincidence. My name is chris, I'm a 36 year old man living in Washington. I was born in Sacramento California in 1987, but I grew up in Rocklin California till I was 15 in 2002. My dad was a police officer for 22 years there. Most people my age are shouting FTP and defund the police, I think they're a bunch of fucking idiots.... Because when they get in trouble who's the first person they call? I have a lot of respect for law enforcement, you guys have a very difficult job and y'all don't get paid enough to deal with that amount of bullshit! Growing up in a small town in Rocklin was very fun back in the 90s. Thank you for your service kyle. I like the podcast!

Way back in the day, Bill was one of my D/T instructors in the Reserve Academy at Sierra College. Back then he was a Sgt or Lt with Rocklin PD. His dad Leo was one of the CJ instructors at Sac State when I was going through the CJ program. Good times in the 90's!!
