Welcome back to Iron Sights After Dark! In this episode, I sat down with Greg Simpson. After serving in the US Army reserve for over 8 years, Simpson's experience as a Combat Medic with EMT credentials helped him stand out during his transition into Law Enforcement. Greg has served as a full-time patrol officer since 2015 and is also a California P.O.S.T. Certified First Aid/CPR/AED instructor. As a SWAT team member, Greg serves as both a tactical medic and operator. After sharing wild stories of experiencing and taking part in officer involved shootings, I had Greg check out my medic kits and "critique them". Simpsons love for constant improvement, the 2nd amendment community and his passion for protecting citizens of this country are a few of the many reasons I respect and appreciate the work he does. Greg discusses the benefits of serving in Law Enforcement as a trained Tac Medic and the importance of seeking help mentally to make sure LEO and first responder's can better serve both themselves and their community. Check out the full TH-cam video to see the medic kits described in this episode - we will be back Monday to discuss some of the most overrated exercises we see being done in the gym!

This is the sort of thing that gets most officers shot and killed (AFV or DV cases are the most dangerous especially if they involve alcohol). I lost good friends (mentors essentially) and my good friends lost their dad's before I was grown and wore a uniform. These are generally the most dangerous altercations you can face as an officer.

As an EX drug addict, I feel like the guy did waaay too much and was acting way out of character due to drugs((possibly)) and got killed by police who DID NOT want to hurt him..Now these guys have to live with that....Moral of the story......Just dont do drugs they are only fun once..Then rapidly turns into a nightmare....

Once again, I love your channel and subject matter, but PLEASE stop interrupting and or completing sentences! Sometimes your guests are trying to complete a thought and lose their place and never complete an important point. We know you are knowledgeable already. You don't need to prove it to your audience. Just a thought my friend.

Most underrated comment I've ever seen on this channel. Sometimes I'm at the edge of my seat only for him to always interrupt to just add needless commentary.

He said he thought he had both hands on the gun instinctual but then he said he knew he was shooting one handed. Inconsistent?

Stop interrupting your guests and let them tell their story, please. It takes time to get good at interviewing people but viewers like myself are getting sick of you doing this in every video. I'm subbed but will have to move along if you can't learn from your mistakes. You're really on to something with the guests but LET THEM SPEAK.

Go to police activity and search Greg Simpson. It’s a black guy with a hood up in the thumbnail, it’s easy enough to find. The OIS, I mean Lol if I knew how to link it I would!! Iron sights definitely could 🤔

From one officer who has been in a shooting where another officer was actually hit. This dude is too excited and happy about telling a story about being in a shooting. I don’t like this dude at all.
