Swiss linguist is on Guam researching the Chamorro accent

If you've ever traveled off-island and were told you have a peculiar accent, but weren't sure how to describe it, not to worry. A linguist from Switzerland is here in Guam to study and document the Chamorro post-colonial accent.

Chamorros are different from the rest of Micronesia. For one they're the only ones in Oceania who cultivate rice in precolonial times, and they also look different compared to your average Pacific Islander. I feel like they're a direct descendant from somewhere in southeast Asia...

Why Go to Guam just because it’s nice,why don’t you go too The most wonderfull,clean beaches,clean Island of the cnmi Like Saipan,Rota,And tinian,They have the accents because the cnmi has the most Chamorro acent ever.

She doing a study on different English languages. People in the United States (mainland) speech is different from people in England. Just like ppl from California speak English differently from ppl from Louisiana and North Carolina.

CNMI speak Carolinian, different from CHamoru. They also look different (the CHamorus aren't as tanned as the Carolinians)
