    Hineksa actually means food that contains carbs like rice, bread, breadfruit, potatoes, etc. But majority of the time, it's referred to as cooked rice.

    Growing up as a young Chamorro. I never knew how to speak languages. My neighbors kid would laugh at me. So I ran home and told my mom. So she invite my aunts from melesso. So they thought me some basic languages. So as time goes. I was able to speak the Chamorro.

    I'm from the Philippines and very similar words and culture! From where I'm from, we call uncooked riced "bugas". Just very interesting! We are after all one austronesian people! :D

      @@Bro1774 In Iloilo, where we speak Hiligaynon, it is bugas. And I think also in Bisaya/Cebuano 🙂

      @@Bro1774 in Tagalog, we say "bigas", I think among Visayans they say "bugas". Meanwhile, in Indonesian, they say "beras".

    I'm dying!!! I'm carolinian and I understood but then again its understandable because there are also some carolinian kids that dont speak or write. But they can understand. 'Come under the tent' answer just topped it all off lmao. I love all the vids! Haven't been home in a while so seeing home in your vids makes my day!

      It’s confusing what race are Guam people..it’s weird like it’s in Micronesia but it’s a USA territory, the people have American accents ,they look kind of Polynesian / Hispanic, yet the language is kind of like a mixture of Indonesian/Spanish/Polynesian..it’s a wierd culture like I don’t know how to identify it..

    Chamorro language isnt the same language spoken before the arrival of the Spanish. Its a mix of Filipino and Spanish that evolved into what it is today... c'mon guys.

      Not really, I’m from Saipan and Chamorro isn’t that common, more as English and Asian languages are used.

    I know how you feel so I’m more the same way both my parents are chamorro and surprisingly I’m more chamorro due to Saipan (father) from what my cousin says but back on track I know very few words but that why I’m finna do the most rational thing which is learn my language so yeet
