A lot of those tractors don't have power steering in the power steering affect that you feel is actually the rear differential spinning one tire more or less than the other to steer the vehicle in a assisted fashion...
Did any Aussies pick up that these ford 3000 tractors are (or were) the trolley collectors at shopping centres? They were just fitted with road tyres and towed that trailer around and had a crazy driver dude flying around picking up trolleys or "shopping carts". Anyone?
Chris, you definitely know how to make a video. You kept me glued throughout. Don't ever fret about not being good enough. Every aspect of the video was entertaining. Even the closing views and music. Keep them coming bro.
Chris feel you on these night time working hours - hard to find time with little kids. NNKH is def my number 1 channel. Thanks for still creating content
I usually don’t watch tractor revivals but I loved this one. I totally watch your channel every time you post. Baby is so cute!! Love the Gus guy. I hope the wife is doing good.
Chris, your channel keeps getting better and better all the time. I remember watching you we’re a little camera shy but I think you’re killing it now. Always interesting stuff. Can’t wait to see more.
Hi Chris. I know absolutely zero about cars, but I really enjoy your channel. It's cool to me how you can restore these old cars. I am 65 and love all the old 70s cars you have. My first car was a 74 Ford Pinto. I also learned to drive on a 73 Ford Maverick. Fun times. Btw, your daughter is sure lucky to have such great parents. 😊
Hey bro, I recommend finding a way to secure that Husky toolbox to a seatbelt mount or something. That could really mess you up even in a relatively low speed accident.
Hope all is well man!! That Parenthood is humbling to say the least!! My daughter is just a year old right now and it's been tough trying to keep up with work and projects and being a dad!! But being a dad is the absolute best part for sure!! Enjoy it because they grow crazy fast! Great video as always!
Dear Chris, before youtube I sometimes thought what is wrong with me and my friends? Bringing cheap old cars, tractors, mopeds and motorcycles back to live spending endless hours in the cold workshop. Now I know defenitly that it's a global desease. We're all brothers from another mother. Happy new year to you, Jen, Autumn, Gus and Turbo from Germany👍🛠️😀
Yup! Would guess millions from every corner of the world have been doing it forever. Not to mention all those that did it because they HAD to! Old tractors and cars took a LOT more work back in the day.
You had to work more often on them but If you wanted or had to you we're able to so.Young mechanics always smile when I Tell them what I found out in decades of wrenching: the analogue and mechanical things blew mystery out of our lives. Electronics and digital stuff brought it back😉🛠️👍
@Guntram: desease is spread all over different objects, not just cars and tractors. I spend around two hours on a ordinary switching power supply, trying to make it work again, when i can get a working one for a few bucks. And then i spend another at least one hour editing 😅 But, i love to bring back to life defective stuff.
Yessss. NNKH, where you come to see how to make stuck plungers in a mechanical injection pump work again without taking it appart followed by custom stainless house plumbing roof vent cap fabrication and random train drone shot. Golden. Best channel on youtube for sure !
I gotta hand it to you. After watching so many hacks cut corners, it’s nice to see you go the extra mile with what you got. You always do things the right way and I definitely respect that. It makes it enjoyable to watch.
That tool box behind the driver's seat is extremely dangerous. If you crash at even a lower speed, inertia will have that thing crush you against the seat beat. I strongly advice taking that out of there asap. Take care Chris.
Cool tractor , I knew you would get her running, what a workhorse it must have been. Awesome drone video Chris! Excellent choice of music to accompany it!
Woah this is the model my grandpa had and it's what I was raised on essentially, mean little tractors. Do miss that old man but jeeeze the memories this vid brought back to me
Love seeing you even work on tractors, a lot of fun moments; the underwear on the windshield image was too funny! Tell Jen we need another video please.
The backseat toolbox is sweet and I love how you make things so functional and efficient. I wondered if you have enough room in the new shop to make a little fabrication area. Thanks Chris. Hope Jen and Autumn and Gus and Turbo are doing well.
Seen the panic on your face when she first fired up Chris 😂😂 Thought it was going to run away. Brilliant video. Bring back the longer videos again. Look so forward to your videos ❤❤❤
I've said it before but I'll say it again. That is one of the most beautiful, sweetest babies that I've ever seen, and I don't even like babies that aren't mine. Congratulations again.
Water gets into those transmissions through rotted shifter boots. They are $3 and easy to replace, the damage they do is much more problematic. Some use diesel fuel mix after draining waterered transmissions. Spraying PB blaster on the shifter rods can free them up. Then drain and refill with either spec 80/90 gear oil or if it's always a winter time worker some use engine oil mix. The three point may have a rubber boot seal that also leaks, more challenging to replace. One of those side knobs you fiddled with are the Draft control system for field plowing, you'll want a copy of the manual to set all that up properly. PTO may need to be on for the 3pt to work (and why they have a cover over the PTO shaft), N-series Fords ran that way. Later ones had live PTO after Ferguson introduced it on the TO-35 models (that's the one I grew up with).
I also add a second rubber sheet donut deflector shield above the shifter boot, after splitting a tractor and doing a transmission repair due to water getting in there and locking the shifter rods up.
Oh I love how dedicated you are to keeping the bed of that truck yellow. To think you were going to paint it black. But then your comments section made you change your mind. I love it😂😂❤
I've never seen a diesel pump heated with a blow torch before! Congratulations on getting it going. 😊 The small pot on the hot starting system needs to be full of diesel to work. On the rear diff there is a hydraulic diverter valve for your hydraulic take off, if it's in the wrong position the rear lift won't work.
Chris, I was told by a Farmer that you only start a tractor while sitting in the seat, never stand in front of the rear tires. Thanks for another great video!
The sponsor commercial part made me laugh like you wouldn't believe. You could sell anything. And the video itself much appreciated, I learned alot. Thx . I hope you reach 1 million subscribers, you deserve it.
I have a portable tool recommendation for you. While watching one of your older videos, this would have come in handy. Wolfbox electic air duster. It's small, portable, and powerful its size. It wouldn't replace actual compressed air, but it pretty decent. I'm not getting any type of kickback for this, just love your channel, especially when your rolling around with minimal tools. I use it to clean my bike and dry it after washing.
Chris! Your super mechanically inclined be proud of yourself if you ever question this. I have confidence that there isnt anything you cant get working. You remind me of how my grandpa was able to fix things and he obviously was older than you but I loved to watch him work. Sending warming vibes from cold weather Wisconsin!
Great videos. I don't know how you work in such cold weather!!! How lovely to see your daughter who happens to share a name with my second grand daughter )😍
Awesome Video Chris , Right out to the Mozart Serenade number 13 in G minor Excellent way to end and a drone fly over of the River ,Blessings to the little one
Another one brought back to life. Although I might be a little biased towards tractors having over 40 of them. I just can't pass up a good challenge getting one going again. Being a mechanic is both a gift and somewhat of a curse sometimes. But it's all fun if you love it. Keep up the work.
Love your content. Real and genius. Autumn looking beautiful ❤. In my country you also have addicts stealing metal and selling them to scrapyards. If that truck was here, it would have been stripped clean of all the metals.
Hey Chris, hello from Northwest Louisiana. We had a Ford 3000 diesel tractor on our small farm and auto salvage yard when I was a kid... Looked a lot like that one. It was an absolute workhorse... we used it for years for all projects a farm might have.... bush-hogging, hay prep, discing, plowing etc.
My dad had an old 50-something model Ford diesel tractor. I think it was a 59. He bought it around 74. When he got rid of it around 93, It still ran great. The only problem was all of the hydraulic hoses and every other hose were rotting. The guy who bought owned a hydraulic hose store so he could afford to replace all them cheaply. My dad last talked to him around 2020 and it was still chugging along.
Chris, you're the absolute best! Incredible, common sense content with a dose of genuine personality! Don't change a thing, you're simply rockin'!!! Baby girl growing fast, such a blessing. As always, you give a little bonus at the end and it's very appreciated. This time with a little Mozart!

Did any Aussies pick up that these ford 3000 tractors are (or were) the trolley collectors at shopping centres? They were just fitted with road tyres and towed that trailer around and had a crazy driver dude flying around picking up trolleys or "shopping carts". Anyone?
Fair dinkum - 'struth!
Those old mechanical diesels can run forever, truly a testament to old school engineering.
yea before the EPA ruined them
Chris, you definitely know how to make a video. You kept me glued throughout. Don't ever fret about not being good enough. Every aspect of the video was entertaining. Even the closing views and music. Keep them coming bro.
I appreciate the kind words man. And thank you for watching
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow - Your drone has the best range - I don't know how you can do it! Great drone footage at the end... thank you!

100% agree, not that it’s ever been bad though.

Love the videos!
Great to hear that and thank you for the support!
I can’t tell you the number of times I drove our tractor about 2 miles up to the store as a youngster! Such great memories!
Thanks!
Thanks man!
Turn the ignition key to the left and hold for 30 seconds.. That will turn the air intake heater plug on.
You are the best at getting old machines running after they have been sitting for a long time love your videos
That toolbox in the back is a great idea!
Hi there, on the stop control lever on the pump there is a button you can push in for a cold start
Oh okay thanks, I'll check that out
Hope all is well man!! That Parenthood is humbling to say the least!! My daughter is just a year old right now and it's been tough trying to keep up with work and projects and being a dad!! So good to have you back !
Dude, you give vise grip garage a run for the money with your content.Keep up the good work.
Congratulations on your little one, hope everyone is happy and healthy.

Welcome back folks!! How much have we missed NNKH!!!
Great clip Chris. A father who has a daughter will always have a friend. Belated congrats mate.

That turkey club looked great.
Love the ending, such talent in so many ways.

Thanks for another great video, I've been rewatching older ones in-between. Chris I hope you give us a recap of the new shop now that you're moved in.

Love the design on this beauty, the way the battery shelf swivels out of the way of the engine. Great design work!
From back when engineers cared about the service side!
I've said it before but I'll say it again. That is one of the most beautiful, sweetest babies that I've ever seen, and I don't even like babies that aren't mine. Congratulations again.
I love the drone shots at the end
How's. The kid? Take em on ride on tractor

Follow him from Great Saudi Arabia. You are a strong and practical man. May God bless you.
I absolutely love the fact that you drove the tractor to get a sammich. Bro, don't ever change.
That was a breath of fresh air video, we used to rebuild 8 and 9 Ns, thanks for the memories Chris. That would make a great shop tractor for ya.
Excellent video Chris. It nice to see you got that old girl running again. Autumn looks so cute. Thank you for posting

Good job rescuing that old ford, great price too. I would be very surprised if it doesn't sell. Nice work once again.
Some of those old ford's, you had to engage the PTO then release the clutch to raise and lower. It only operates while clutch is out.
The sound it makes close to work makes me happy too.
Iowa here, thanks for giving us a shout-out!!!! You ROCK!
The sponsor commercial part made me laugh like you wouldn't believe. You could sell anything. And the video itself much appreciated, I learned alot. Thx . I hope you reach 1 million subscribers, you deserve it.
Just flat enjoy what you do Chris and how you go about it. That tractor should sell well. Stay safe😊
This dude is a unit..if it use to run at any time in the past, he’ll get it running again! Nice job man
Best video on TH-cam I have ever watched. Torch in the intake was perfect.
Great save. Glad you could help someone else that could use it
Nice save on that old 3000. I just overhauled my neighbors 4000 last summer those old fords tick on for ever✅
Back when I messed around with riding mowers, I wanted one of these old tractors. I would have jumped on one for $800! Great video!
I have a portable tool recommendation for you. While watching one of your older videos, this would have come in handy. Wolfbox electic air duster. It's small, portable, and powerful its size. Cool old tractor! Great job getting her running again. 🚜 😎 They do have value, whoever buys it is getting a great deal. Thanks for sharing!
49:09 What a beautifuIIy done ending! Love the whoIe video. 👍😊
Old school systems are the best, heat and beat, built Ford tough!! another video Chris, keep up the great content!!!
That box in the Tundra is a cool idea for what you're into doing. Way to be creative man!
Another great one Chris. You do The Best Will It Runs, and at the end a bit of Red Neck Engineering.😂
Chris! Your super mechanically inclined be proud of yourself if you ever question this. I have confidence that there isnt anything you cant get working. You remind me of how my grandpa was able to fix things and he obviously was older than you but I loved to watch him work. Sending warming vibes from cold weather Wisconsin!
Pure gold. Even the Mando promo. Phrases like "go Mad Max on it". Tough to be wrenching when it's less than 30F.
Hey Chris - Missed you much. Trust the family is well. Need some pix of that precious baby girl! Enjoying the vid as always!
Great videos. I don't know how you work in such cold weather!!! How lovely to see your daughter who happens to share a name with my second grand daughter )😍
Good job friend! You got it up and running again 👏🏻👏🏻
That Mando bit was really funny!🤣🤣🤣🤣 It's a shame we don't get it here in Brazil...😢😢
The msrp of this tractor in 1965 was under $4000. Fully loaded maybe a grand more. Sounds like a good inventment.
Awesome Video Chris , Right out to the Mozart Serenade number 13 in G minor Excellent way to end and a drone fly over of the River ,Blessings to the little one

I just bought one of these. So happy i got to watch my favorite youtuber work on one.

WOW CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BABY HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN A WHILE WENT LOOKING... FYI BEING A DAD IS THE GREATEST THING YOU WILL EVER DO.
The best part of the Video for me was that cap you made ! Strangely enough I'll probably watch this 2 more times for things I missed. Thanks Chris
Man I miss your videos thank you for posting this one it's been a while

Thumbs up 👍 it got dark quick. The tires will go a long way because they were out of the sun ☀️😅
26:58 OUTSTANDING CHRIS!!!
Like a kid in a candy store when I get the notification of a new video 🙂
This one scratched a lot of itches….i want that turkey club👍🏻
Well done Chris!
You managed to get it started
and brought the old worker🚜
back to life👍
Glad you are back! Love this one! Great content. Outstanding photography.
Caught the Alabama 3 in there… always a nice touch. Thanks Chris!
Hi Chris,
When you are siting on the tractor, to your right is a lever that you can move up or down, this is to allow the three point arms to be in full float mode (used when plowing or other tasks that require the implement to follow the contour of the land) move this lever up and this should allow you to lift the arms. hope this is helpful .
Another great video. Thanks Chris. Please can we get a update video on the new shop. I love seeing you do shop repairs and maintenance and organizing and upgrading.
Where you are working on the tractor,I see some of your other vehicles on that property. Is this the property of where the garage is where you were cleaning and reorganizing it? Never heard if you mentioned of you buying property or a update on that garage you were organizing. As always, love the mix of content!
Chris, your knowledge on everything with an engine is pretty incredible. Love the channel!!
Great to see you put up another video! I always enjoy your content! I hope all is well with you, Jen and the baby!
Chris, I always come away leaning something new that’s why I like watching you. You are very talented, thanks for all you do 👍👍👍👍👍👌👌
