I failed to mention in the video we organize each section by numerical order ex) 1-100 and we put the patch cards or autos that do not have numbers (ex. love seeing everyones different way of organizing their inventory.. My son and I have ours organized by box and tabs. Example - Box 1 Tab A. and each tab gets about 100 cards so we're able to pick up those cards and thumb through quickly. We're at 9k listings with 6 three row boxes like that.
I have mine organized by sport and then alphabetical. My problem has been listing while I'm travelling for work. I have gotten behind on putting those cards into the proper spots and have lost a couple in the last 6 or so months. I love to see that you have great help at home.
Jmac, love the channel. I just found you the other day and have been watching all your shows. I sell a lot of postcards and have over 15,000 listed. It's very similar to sports cards. I started out with organizing by State/Military etc. as I grew to over 10k I switched to not caring who/what/where they are but they just go into a box labeled A-Z and each box has numbers 1-16 and it's so much easier. But whatever works for you and everyone else then go with it. Keep up the great channel and I look forward to seeing you grow.
Awesome seeing that two work together on this.I’m currently building out the organization part now and hearing you two talk though the evolution is very relatable
Lovin the teamwork. I had to have an employee or two when I was selling vinyl records full time on ebay with 14k listings. Would love to have had a "co-owner" instead. Yall are lucky!
How I've been doing my listening I number the box A1,A2,A3 and so on then in each box I put the cards in by the card number. So far that's working great for me. I look the box # and card # then I confirm the card by the pictures I listed
Great video. I believe organization will be changing constantly with the rookie class for each sport every year. It looks like you have a great way of doing this.
I use 3 row shoeboxes. Each box is a specific sport. I also use the Custom Label (SKU) to identify where the card is located. Example: "Football Box 2 - Row 3 - C". C is the section the box is in and I used dividers for these sections. The SKU is listed at the bottom of the card detail when I'm getting ready to ship. So it is quick and easy to see. I try to keep about 50 cards per section so it doesn't take long to flip thru that section to find the cards. This allow me to not have to pre-sort the cards in advance and saves a lot of time.
In my house, whatever gets listed gets put in a section and dated. When an item sells, I check the listing date and go to the section with that date and fulfill the order. Whenever I end a listing and relist to get a ranking boost, I remove the items that will be relisted from their current section and after relisting they go into a section with a new date.
Really enjoy your videos, th ask for sharing your knowledge! How do you deal with taking cards to shows? I don’t have as many as you do but when I’m doing a show I have a few boxes that are filled out but the cards are also on eBay. I recently sold about 50 cards at a show and then had to go through and end the listing, I probably missed one of 2 I’m sure but it’s at a point where I have several boxes to go through when I make an eBay sale searching for the card.
Hey Jmac. I got the thermal printer thru your links. When you get time can you do a video on how you got your printer settings setup. I having a little bit of a problem switching from white envelope to yellow 6×9 bubble envelope..I know you are busy when you get time thx brother
I have a monster box of Vintage signed cards that I sort by year. I am starting to list unsigned stuff now. So I need to come up with a system. I have been out of the hobby so long it is hard to know all this new product and the six million variations. LOL

Fujitsu has a much higher end 3x the cost scanner made for sports cards costs around 1k and is linked in my videos as well. Just seems like if you dont have a full time staff listing thousands per day then it wouldnt be worth it though.
@JMac Sports Cards I'm a solo act so don't have a lot of funds to buy something that expensive. Maybe some day. I might see if I can't find one at a garage sale. Thanks so much

Appreciate you sharing! I’m a bit like your wife in that I LOVE organizing…it actually may be about 50% of why I collect and flip!😂I do sell some at card shows as well so my organization requires a shopper friendly format since they’re listed and available to purchase in person too. I LITERALLY inventory my whole collection through Beckett collect online as well. This helps me keep track. Love the content, insight, and encouragement!🤙🏻
I enjoy organizing cards but, I do not sell. I have a few friends who want me to organize their cards and asked me how much I would like for doing this for them. For friends, it will be cheaper than the normal price but I do not know what a normal price shall be. This is the reason why I am writing. Can you help me figure how much I should charge? I will be doing a little more than just organizing. It is my plan to organize the cards and list them on a spread sheet so the person will know what they have. as an add on, I would put the price of the card as indicated by a company or app. So what do you think? Any ideas for me on pricing or on anything else I should think about in doing this for others? Thank you for your time and any assistance you may offer. Peace

That is what I do with the signed cards. It is so much easier to do that than looking through 100 cards each order.
Let's go Pirates!
Great job. It looks great. I have sets. Should I break down my sets and sell single ones are sell them as sets
Probably depends on the set. Some sets only have 2-3 cards worth selling, those are better to sell as a set.
Good team!
Awesome video
