He loves Xbox Controller S but can still offer criticism of it. What a guy. 👏 The original Duke controller had them in a better place like the Sega Saturn 6-button controller. Then from the Xbox 360 onward they went with dual shoulder buttons like PS2. Even Nintendo has gone this route with their Switch Pro controller.
yeah, it was really magical when 18 months later sega discontinued it and you could get the entire library for pennies on the dollar from funcoland, or the dumpster behind funcoland if you knew where to look
What's really fascinating is that despite the fact that the Dreamcast bowed out long before the others, to this day, it is the most supported console from the 6th generation thanks to the indie scene.
@@techmark3665 well it is only impressive because of the extremely short official life of the Dreamcast. The number of high quality games that the Dreamcast had in a 2 year span is astounding to me. It has yet to be replicated.
The PS2 is my favorite console of all time and the last generation I was heavily invested into video games instead just a few franchises like gens that came after. I think the Cube is popular now because it is one console that held up perfectly today. Mostly because the art style and many people missed out on it today. My dad had the Xbox, but I only played it for KOTOR which led into my deep diving into western RPGs which blew up the following generation and eventually PC gaming. Like Off the grid Gaming stated, this generation is the apex of gaming.
me too i had every sega console released in the uk except hand helds starting with a 1st gen master system plus with light phaser package from a catalogue which cost over £350 in 1988 a lot of money back then i was very lucky because we didn't have a lot, the first ever game i finished on the m,s was a game called Rastan which i use as my game tag even today at 48 years old still gaming 34 years later
Yup.... DC are great for arcade style games. But not good for more in dept game genres, as there are almost none on that platform. That is what I experienced back when I had a DC. Like yes, there are tons of big games genres such GTA and GT on Ps2, but the DC perfected genres such as Crazy Taxi and Ikaruga. I tried Ikaruga on Xbox360 and Ps3 and I admit that it sucked due to the controllers feel in my hands.
I’ve seen and have all with gaming from 1980-Now I have every console and tons of games so I’ve been blessed to see all of the generations so far in gaming and I always enjoyed the 3rd to 7th generation of consoles the most
I'm from 1969, and feel the same... 5th gen my favorite, but 3rd-to-6th the best time for home gaming. Some great games still coming out today though! 😄
Born in 1990, and I feel like I was so blessed to be able to witness the evolution from the Genesis/SNES time-frame until now. I asked my mom for an Activision toy from her Avon book at the age of 11 or 12 and so I had a lot of fun with Atari games on that toy as well. I spent a lot of time on Spider Fighter in particular. It was just about the love of the game.
I was born in '87 and had an older brother who was really into games so I grew up with the NES and almost everything after. The NES was good but SNES and Genesis really took it to the next level (especially with RPGs like FF6). Then the 4th gen really excited me with the potential of 3D graphics and it was an absolute blast playing the N64 with four friends. But then the Sega Dreamcast came out and blew me away with very good 3D graphics and real time online play (Phantasy Star Online). The PS2, GameCube, and Xbox were also all very good and unique with their own great exclusives, but after that, the Xbox 360 was kind of the culmination and refinement of game consoles for me. I switched to PC gaming after the 7th gen as almost every game would get a PC port and the consoles were basically just low end gaming PC's. I didn't buy a new console since the 360/PS3 until the Switch came which is great and feels like another classic console. So IMO 6th gen > 5th gen > 4th gen > 7th gen > 3rd gen > 8th gen > 9th gen.
Same. Born 1980. I only emulate Gen 3-6 on my Android smartphone. My favorite genre is really the 2D platformers. It's easy to play them in short bursts while waiting in line. I'll play Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! for 3 minutes or if I'm stuck waiting for an order. And it's playable with just touchscreen. Super NES and Genesis have tons of awesome 2D platformers. Just yesterday, I discovered Disney's Hercules on PS1. I always knew it existed but ignored it even though I enjoyed the 1997 movie. Man, the graphics are still incredible after 25 years. The only emulator apps I need on my phone... Lemuriod (NES, Gen, SNES, PS1, N64, PSP) Mame4droid (90s arcade classics) Yaba Sanshiro 2 (Saturn) Redream (Dreamcast) AetherSX2 (PS2) Dolphin MMJR2 (GameCube, Wii) Then have a PS Vita and Switch lying around. I've been contemplating getting a Steam Deck. I'm reluctant because I'm not into modern games. My Flip 3, Vita slim, and Switch Lite covers 95% of my gaming needs and covers 100% of what I want from the 3rd through 6th gens.
Dude you are just the most positive upbeat entertaining person on TH-cam. It's nice being able to click on your videos and know I can always enjoy it. Keep on being you!
00:53 I think that the 6th generation was the last generation that the games were truly collectible (not sure how to phrase that). From the 7th gen onwards, DLC and downloadable patches made it that the disc version was hardly ever the complete version of the game. I do still collect for that generation and later generations too, however I never feel 100% satisfied with a physical version, knowing that if the servers go down I will probably be playing an inferior version of the game. This became ever worse when day one patches started to become common place.
7th gen is still very collectable and truly the last system that has any collectability. Tons of xbox 360 rpgs and smhup exclusives and some Rare dev games. Tons of ps3 and wii exclusives as well plus all the cool peripherals like wheels, lightguns bases, kinect stuff, etc.
Honestly there is still plenty of 7th gen games that are collectable and will have most or the full game And I could argue early with gen games too... buuuut yea it became alot harder to get the "whole game" unless it relreleade in a single disk as an exclusive 2with all the dlc (like what I just did by buying hollow knight aa a physical medium) Honestly anything before 8th gen seem very collectable and will have most or all the full experience after that, it has become so much harder :/
I’ve been playing a bunch of 6th gen lately, it really was a great time in gaming. In fact, you highlighted 3 games that I’ve either been playing or am in the middle of playing right now. Those games Being: F-Zero GX, wrapping up a playthru on Ratchet and Clank 2 and in the middle of Klonoa 2. So this video is really hitting home at the moment lol
@@RetroBirdGaming I know! Such a strange coincidence. The fact that it was R&C 2 even, when it could have easily been 1 or 3. Must be on the same wave length RB 😝
Gamecube and Dreamcast... the most underrated consoles of the six gen and the best after 20+ years! Their modding scenes get better every year. If you want to play sony games just jailbreak a ps3 from Japan cool anime/games editions and play ps1/ps2/psp/ps3 games on a crt/hmdi TV right from the start! Great video as always!
Dude, love your channel! Ive had many laughs watching from the beginning (though just found the channel recently). Anyhoo, glad you're still making videos, and looking forward to many more! P.S.: A gamecube lunchbox would be pretty sweet! Just think of how many bananas and bread clips you could fit in there!
Me: Hyped for this video for 2 WEEKS. Also me but stuck at a wedding: Retro Bird finally uploaded it!!! But... I'm still stuck at this darn wedding. *Puts phone in pocket* 😭
I grew up with the GameCube and only started exploring the PS2 and Dreamcast's library a few years ago. Man, I gotta say I love 'em all at this point. The 6th gen kicks so much arse.
my entire childhood collection was stolen and a dreamcast was gifted to me , the dreamcast emulated my childhood collection mostly , so it wins in my eyes, even with that slow snes speed.
I only really owned one console per gen and I went with the GameCube during the sixth gen mostly due to Smash Bros. Melee. I was more than thrilled with the amount of amazing games that released on it (yes, even Billy Hatcher). I eventually got a PS2 years later and loved that as well due to the sheer amount of variety in its game library. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. The Dreamcast still has quite a few hidden gems even during its short lifespan. I still enjoy many games from each of these systems. Quite a number of them still hold up in this day and age. The sixth gen of video games was a really fantastic period in gaming history!
At the time it felt like everyone around me were jumping on board with the Xbox. I stuck it out with Nintendo and absolutely fell in love with the GameCube. The sheer amount of cross-platform titles this little box got was amazing. Combine that with every major Nintendo franchise getting a brand new entry and it was a no contest. Yet it still felt like everyone was on a level playing field regardless of the console. Almost as if world peace had been declared amongst gamers. Everywhere you looked there was something worth playing.💗
Personally, I love the PlayStation 2 for kickstarting video games in becoming the forefront of entertainment when the year 2000 hit. It was magical to see FULL 3D games come to life without boundaries. As a child, I said to myself: we came a long way from 2D games. However, after 20 something years later, I own all of six gen consoles (except Gamecube) and collected a large volume of games. Of all the gaming experiences I have endured collecting/playing during pre and post covid, I enjoy XBOX more. Its sad that though XBOX being new to the party and was a gargantuan leap in console hardware for the time, this was Microsoft's only time they primarily focus in creating the necessary gaming software to push its hardware to its limits which is practically a COMPUTER with Pentium III and Nvidia Graphics in 60fps. I truly love this era dearly since it was indeed the last time we see developers of all over the world on the race of having the best presentation of their games. A great time to be alive! :)
My Favorite Gaming Devices I've Owned 1. PS Vita 2. Switch (moved up from 11th) 3. PSP 4. PS1 5. PS2 6. Dreamcast 7. GameCube 8. SNES 9. Genesis 10. NES 11. PS4 12. Saturn (moved up from 20th) 13. PS3 14. Xbox 15. N64 16. Wii 17. Game Boy 18. Game Gear 19. Jaguar (moved up from last place) 20. DS 21. GBA Since getting into emulation, I began to love underrated systems like the Saturn and GameCube. The Saturn is hard to emulate but the games I've played for it are quite fantastic. Saturn's 2D capabilities aged the best from the 5th gen since early 3D looked ugly once 6th gen consoles were released. TBH, I really only need my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 + 8BitDo SN30 Pro controller and I cover NES to GameCube eras. I can also do DS and Wii but don't really care for either one. I prefer all my gaming devices to be PORTABLE. No cables to connect to the back of a TV. Can charge it and be ready to go. I don't own a TV any more, so 100% of my gaming needs to come from a handheld or mobile device. I thought about getting a Steam Deck but I may just wait when the price goes down and they make something smaller. And I'm not really urging to play modern games. If for the rest of my life I could only play games from the 3rd to 6th gens, I'll be totally satisfied. I just started playing Disney's Hercules on PS1 and it's awesome!! You can still find fun games to play from NES to GameCube. NES, Genesis, SNES, and Saturn are rich with awesome 2D platformers to kill 5 minutes. The only systems I previously owned that I haven't emulated are Xbox, PS3, and PS4. Can also say Switch but I barely got my Switch about a month ago. I don't need to emulate that at this point. I don't bother with DS because I hate being forced to look at that 2nd screen. And GBA were just rehashes for SNES games. The emulators I use on my Flip 3 Lemuriod Mame4droid (always prefer arcade versions) Yaba Sanshiro Redream AetherSX2 Dolphin MMJR2
It was the last generation where games were released as _finished._ No day 1 patches (where one day we won’t have access to them, rendering the discs incomplete.), complete finished games.
0:52 totally agreed, online connectivity ruined everything. as long as it was for patches and the occasional multiplayer it was fine, but when it went into the microtx and dlc stuff, things started to get horribly wrong. that generation was the last one where the games were conceived as single player experiences FIRST, and only then as a nice bonus they had multiplayer, and not the opposite like nowadays
Ah, Panzer Dragoon Oorta. To this day I still keep coming back to it. One of the most gorgeous looking games ever made that still holds up today; but it's the PS2 over all from that gen that I play the most. Not only is the library for it simply astounding; but the fact that the first run is backwards compatible for PS1 games is what seals the deal. (Of which I thankfully own.)
@@jmac79ersYeah you want to try and find an early slim as those still have the ps1 hardware inside where the later models used Emulation Which caused issues in certain games
They didn't ship like that, but yeah, they always seem to get stuck/broken in a short time. It looks like Nintendo didn't build enough support into the button, so it tips over slightly, causing it to rub against the console's case and get stuck. Maybe a bit of skillful sanding or polishing might fix it?
This really is such a special group of consoles. I believe in one of your older videos you likened the 32 bit era as the rough 3d era with these consoles perfecting those games similar to how the 8 bit era did a lot of good things in 2d but how 16 bit made such a big leap forward. But for these consoles to really nail 3d and to also include some online connection, to still have many exclusives for each console, to have established controllers that worked for their genres (even if some find the Dreamcast and GameCube controllers a little weird), it just really feels like the perfect blend and the last era of an actual console war. It's a real shame Sega blew it so bad in the US with the Saturn that the Dreamcast never really had a chance but looking at everything that came afterward and it feels like Nintendo just does their own thing (and probably always did) but they almost try to not directly compete with the newer Xbox and Sony consoles with their newest console coming out years earlier and for Microsoft and Sony, outside of a few exclusives it just feels like whatever game you want you can get on either platform. So it doesn't feel like we'll get another generation like this with so many consoles that also provide unique features. But still a very fun and interesting video Bird.
Super proud of this console generation. Gamecube is my clear favorite, I own 40 games for the system, a Game Boy Player, and a Retrobit Prism to get my Cube in crisp condition. That said, I have to give props to the Gamecube's contemporaries. This year I was gifted an Xbox and just a couple weeks ago I sunk a solid Benjamin into a Dreamcast! Super excited to delve into both consoles and all they have to offer!
Great video. They’re all great systems with 3 high up in my top 10 of all time (Xbox, GC, PS2). When you think as well that at the same time on portables we had GBA and then at the end of the gen DS and PSP it was definitely the best time in gaming IMO
My friend made her son a GameCube costume for Halloween this year. It's awesome. For me, the OGbox was the first I purchased and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was the game that brought me back as at that time I almost quit gaming and almost made the dreaded decision to sell all my collection. I'm glad I didn't because it was at this time that I realized I had a game collection due to having never sold anything all the way back to NES. Today, between the 3 consoles I have around 210 games. The GameBoy player is a must have for any collector as I don't own a GameBoy but I have a small collection of those handheld games to play on the GameCube. My brother gave me his PS2 when he upgraded to PS3 and I think this was the last best generation of gaming. Right before wealth extraction ruined it. Lots of great memories and thanks to collecting, lots more new memories to make!
Those Dreamcast games unquestionably had a very distinct late 90s/early 2000s aesthetic to them that hasn't been replicated by anyone else, including other consoles from the late 90s and early 2000s.
By heart, it is the Dreamcast. It provided online gaming, before it was a given. Then the near arcade perfect conversions of many games combined with a handful of by then very innovative new games.
My heart says Dreamcast, but if someone doesn't like the PS2, they just need some research and some deep inner growth. Katamari Demacy & ICO hooked me on the PS2 real quick.
Having gamed through every generation of console, I can say, with a high degree of certainty, that the best generation of gaming was the 16-bit era.* TG-16 (16bit GFX), Sega Genesis, Neo•Geo, and SNES. We got higher color palettes, stereo sound, true parallax scrolling, clearer PCM samples, larger on screen sprites (bigger bosses), Mode 7, and it all generally stayed within the 2D game style, so they tend to still hold up well today. In fact, some of them still have yet to be topped, when it comes to hand drawn 2D pixel art.. I honestly doubt we'll ever see a game have the same amount of amazing animation detail as Metal Slug 3 (Nazca / Neo•Geo). * I was half joking about this being the best. I believe it, but it's of course my opinion. Yours may vary, and that's cool too. -Matt
The 6th gen is by far my most favorite console generation. I have and love all these consoles but I’d have to say that the PS2 is my favorite. I grew up with it for one, but the library is so big and diverse that you’re always finding something new.
Agreed, it was the one i owned too. Recently we just got a PS2 at my foster house, and literally when i saw it my brain started getting crazy thinking "we should hoard a huge collection!" The exclussives back then where so great and there are so many expireinces that you can't get on modern systems like Parappa and Time Crisis.
Whatever generation was around when you were a kid/teenager, that’s your favorite. It’s pretty predictable. I buck that trend and say that the present is always the best generation. Never have we had so many options for different types of games than we do now. The fact that I can go from playing a CCG on my iPad, to putting around Nintendo games on the Switch, to playing the most visually impressive games I’ve ever seen on the Series X/PS5, with countless indie/digital titles to choose from. 6th gen was good. Great even. But it lacked heavily in 2D output and the “indie” output was replaced by companies like Acclaim and Midway. People forget all that B tier shit that came out in the 6th generation.
@@leeartlee915 I’ll admit that the relative lack of 2D content in this generation is a negative factor. It also had its fair share of junk. That said, there are some notable options for 2D games, especially if you’re willing to count compilations. Viewtiful Joe, Ikaruga, Sonic Mega Collection, Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2, and Super Smash Bros Melee are a couple off the top of my head. I also enjoy my share of modern games as well. I have a PS5 and an Xbox Series X and I’ve been enjoying both of them thoroughly. The indie scene is quite solid as well. However, the current generation also comes with its problems, particularly when it comes to some of the larger companies. EA and Activision in particular are prime examples, especially with loot boxes and micro transactions, buggy and rushed launches, and a general lack of interest in trying something new and unique. Certainly not every game will have these problems, but they are prevalent.
@@ThatGuy-vo9os EA and Activision suck but it is SO easy to avoid their games. I guess I just see it like this: we have, like, 5 times more options today than we did in 2001. How can that be worse?
@@leeartlee915 "Whatever generation was around when you were a kid/teenager, that’s your favorite. It’s pretty predictable." For some people, I guess that's the case. But Gen 5 will always be my favorite gen, and I was in my late 20's at the time. It was when fun-positive met interesting-3D-gameplay (or perfected-2D-gameplay) met mind-opening visuals/music, and both Japanese and western devs were still at their most inventive. In Gen 6, fun-positive started to take a back seat (especially 2004-2007 when dudebro violent action games got more and more popular), and the inventiveness of earlier generations gave way to sequel-itis. Like you I think the current generation is really fun ... because of all the options we have. I still play new games 50% of the time, and there are some really good ones! But there's no way the Top 20 games of 2022 match the Top 20 games of 1996, or even of 1990 or 2003 for that matter. The volume of good games is higher, but the high points of fun don't match 1987-2003.
I grow up with a Dreamcast, then got a PS2 later as a kid, i can confirm i had one of the richest gaming experience someone could ever had. It was beautiful, the 6th generations was amazing in all aspects.
It's a tough call to pick only one. I used to play a bit on all four, but I suppose if I had to pick only one I'd go with the PlayStation 2. My friends and I really got into playing Guitar Hero 1 & 2. I also played a lot of GTA Vice City, MGS2, Katamari Damacy, Ratchet & Clank, Silent Hill 2, PaRappa 2, Jak 1-3, Onimusha 1-3, Sly Cooper 1-3, Devil May Cry 1-3 (lots of game series' in three's!), Rock Band, Sky Gunner, Rock Band, God of War and GOW2, (both amazing!), Tekken 5 (with fully playable Tekken 1-3 arcade games, and StarBlade bonuses, Yakuza, Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2, ICO, Shape of the Colossus, Amplitude, Frequency, Gran Turismo 3 and 4, just to name a bunch.
dreamcast and gamecube have only a 500 game's library while xbox 1000 and ps2 3000. also, the dreamcast arrived 2 years before others consoles ands at this time, technology was evoluating fast.
@@uneducatedgamer8881 i came up with the conclusion that dreamcast has much better arcade racing game library, all made by sega, such as crazy taxy, daytona, sega rally, f355, sega gt, tokyo racer, pro trucker. unfortunately outrun 2 not available on dreamcast, but sega featured great peripherals too, such as easy to use steering wheel, with hand pedals, that you can play 3 or 6 hours without being exhausted.
I was 17 when dreamcast came out and the first system I bought myself with my first wage, and absolutely hammered it . When it died and at the time I was working at Game in Bolton Manchester, I literally got 20 games for £20 because we discounted them to £1.50p each of course we got discount on them . Those was the day's, maybe dreamcast was favourite because of nostalgia. I eventually bought the other three systems and gamecube was very underrated, the loading was really quick and the 1st party games was awesome. Ps2 had some hard hitters but always suffered with multi platform ports where as xbox was definitely the multi platform winner easily. They all have merits in the own way but I do think personally if people was lucky enough to own the others at the same time, the multi platform ports really really was poor in comparison on ps2 .either way any of these systems all had alot of amazing games .
Gen 6 wins for me because development costs were low so more developers got involved. Gen 7 is good too but DLC and HD meant that games were trying to be more like movies and could come out in unfinished states.
Gamecube has the best controller, best smash game ever made, and the best games in general. The gamecube really becomes crazy when you factor in the wii, because then you can run gamecube games through nintendont to make games run even better, you also have access to the wii’s great library and amazingly convenient homebrew. I know it’s kinda cheating to include the next gen console as an advantage for a 6th gen one, but considering the wii is by far the best and cheapest way to experience the gamecube today, I think it’s worth bringing up.
It's funny that the PS2 and GC are the two highest polling of your survey, because those were the consoles I had back then. It's really hard for me to say which is my favorite, I've only in the past year owned a Dreamcast and even more recently discovered some of the original Xbox's deeper cuts so there is a newness factor to that. I understand what you're saying about PS2 technically being the best but it also has the least identity, so the GameCube is a nostalgic favorite. It's a cop out answer, but I'm going to say all 4 are essential, and in a way compliment each other.
I had to click on this video as I just bought a GameCube for 25 bucks with two controllers and a Dreamcast with controllers for 65. Don't tell me there aren't deals to be had in the retro gaming market anymore....
Only one had DQ VIII, FFX, GT4, Persona 3 + 4, Katamari, etc. PS2's library is so vast, none of the others can really compare for me. It's my second favorite console of all time.
I'm on the younger end, having been born in 1999 and my childhood was during the 2000s and 2010s. The first generation I really grew up with myself was the 7th Gen (Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii), but I sorta grew up second-handedly with the sixth gen consoles because they were around whenever I went to day care or summer camp as a kid. Most day cares/summer camp programs had at least all three of the PS2, GameCube and Xbox in a "game room" and whenever I was allowed I would always gravitate to playing at least one of them every day. The games on all three were so fun and I never got bored of any of the three, I can see why it's known as a golden era of gaming, even if I didn't properly grow up with this console set, I've experienced the game library thanks to many camps and day cares still having them around even during my elementary school days in the late 2000s. And the overall library between the four sixth gen consoles was so good that it basically hooked me into games for life. Granted looking at it older console gens seem really short compared to the ones I grew up with (the newer ones). Back in my childhood the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii were the new stuff on the market and stayed around for a long time, with the previous consoles staying mildly relevant alongside them, and the Wii U/PS4/Xbox One was the first "new generation debut/transition" I truly experienced, and that was towards the end of my middle school days and the beginning of my high school ones haha, and that lasted a good while before the current Switch/PS5/Xbox Series X era.
I owned a GameCube and had a great time with Resident Evil REmake, Zelda: Wind Waker etc. But the fun was when my friends and I gathered to play Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Marvel vs Capcom 2 tournaments on the Dreamcast! We still do! The PS2 was the PES console for us back in the day!
This was the first generation where I could afford all the consoles so I didn't have any issues with game selection. DC definitely has my fondest memories because of all the arcade perfect ports. You might even call it a "consolation" prize for not owning a Neo Geo.
The amount of games of this generation to hold genre toppers is staggering. All these years later and they still can't be topped. I would say the Ps2 and gamecube hold similar levels of attachment for the general public because of two reasons. One is that the gamecube had a relatively large boom in popularity post-covid. Something I'm sure the other consoles will have in due time. It happened with the genesis after snes had its resurgence in popularity. The second reason is that although the Ps2 sold so well units wise the attach rate for all those games are VERY low to the point that if you get a room full of Ps2 fans and ask them their favorite games you are very likely to hear wildly different answers from those people. The gamecube library has been almost completely picked through by comparison and people know what is good and what is bad. Nintendo's tendency to leave the gamecube unloved is also a big contender for its staying power as opposed to the numerous ports and sequels Ps2 games got. I love the dreamcast but I feel that it's too niche of a console to get that love and the xbox doesn't try to stand out it tries to be the best option period. That leads to less discussion in general because what it succeeded in something the public deems uninteresting. The 360 only stood out because the Ps3 was such a middling console itself that the 360 being better was actually a point of interest. I just can go on and on about this topic so I'm gonna stop. Otherwise I'm gonna write a book in the TH-cam comments section.
I owned all four at the time. My favourite was the Dreamcast. If Sega had stayed in the console market I doubt I would have bought the others, or at least bought them at the time. I went multi-platform because Sega went multi-platform. All that said, it was a great generation and all 4 consoles were brilliant. My own personal ranking 1) Dreamcast 2) Gamecube and PS2 3) Xbox
Apparently I am one of the odd one outs. My favorites from that generation are the Dreamcast and Xbox. I did get a good deal on a used PS2 and had a roommate with a GameCube, so I got plenty of time to play games on each system.
There was never a more hyped machine than the murky, sequel machine that was the PS2. My favourite console of all time is the Dreamcast. They finally got 3D right, and Sega just wanted to bring the arcade into the home.
This one is a bit of a mixed bag, for me. I was a HUGE Sega fanboy, and wanted a Dreamcast really bad. I wouldn't get one until years later when I built one out of parts. I used to do repairs and mods in middle and high school, and finally built a functional Dreamcast from all of the parts I had collected when I was 16. I didn't think much about the DC when my mom got my brothers and I an Xbox one Christmas. Xbox will always remain my favorite from that generation, simply because of JSRF, Sega GT, and Morrowind. I don't thumb my nose at the Gamecube, or PS2, either. I was a HUGE fan of Pikmin, Windwaker, and Smash Bros. I also loved a bunch of games on PS2 like Smuggler's Run, and GTA III. I had the great fortune of having a diverse group of friends my whole life. So, while I had a Genesis, some of my other friends had SNES. I had a PS1, and I had friends with an N64 or Saturn. And, in this generation, we had all of them between the friend group. We didn't argue over which was better, we just played everything we could, and it was amazing.
The GameCube was my first step into console gaming after the NES. I remember playing Smash until I got physically ill from not being used to the graphics and movement. Those were the days!
Where do we draw the line with "multi-platform"? There are plenty of Dreamcast games that started on that console which were ported to PS2/GC/Xbox. And people who think Dreamcast belongs in gen 5 are just wrong.
@@nathanlamont9920 Nah, it came out what a year+ before PS2? A console which was undoubtedly under development at the same time, Sega just wanted to get a jump on the market because they blew gen 5. And how long was it that Gamecube and Xbox came out after PS2? They were all on relatively similar standing at iirc 128 bit architecture compared to the 32 & "64" bit of gen 5.
Good comment and yeah, I thought about that too. Those games have always felt more like "well, the Dreamcast is dead so let's see what we can salvage from it" than multiplats to me. Still, I can see the argument either way. Point I was trying to make in the video is that once the PS2, Xbox and GameCube had all finally come out.. for years we got what felt like an entire generation of multiplatform games with no consideration for the Dreamcast (since it had already been discontinued).
@@RetroBirdGaming I definitely see where you're coming from, once DC died there was no reason for publishers to release anything further for it. And on sort of the same token, they were all too willing to take existing Dreamcast IP & straight port them for some more cash from a broader audience. One caveat to this that I can think of off the top of my head is Dead or Alive 2. DOA2:Hardcore for PS2 featured some mild additions but was more or less equivalent, especially as a PS2 launch title. DOA2:Ultimate for Xbox was a whole 'nother animal. Not only did it look gorgeous since it was now running on the DOA3 engine, but it quadrupled down on upgrades & unlockables/extras compared to what PS2 did. Otherwise it was fundamentally the same as the DC/PS2 game aside from minor changes to controls. Another one would be Phantasy Star Online v1 & v2. The Gamecube & Xbox Episodes 1&2 releases were objectively better no doubt, the core of the DC PSO was still there, but now with what I'd call an expansion in the form of Episode 2 content. Visuals were pretty much the same aside from being cleaner, online experience was arguably better... but at the end of the day it was a port+expansion+QoL.
"And people who think Dreamcast belongs in gen 5 are just wrong." - The last big Dreamcast game was Rez, which released on Nov 22, 2001. - GameCube launch dates were Sep 14, 2001 (JP)/Nov 18, 2001 (NA)/May 3, 2002 (EU). - Xbox launch date was Nov 15, 2001. How can you say so definitively and dismissively that those of us who consider DC to be Gen 5 "are just wrong". The last big DC game was released before any of us owned Xbox or GameCube. For me, time period decides generation, not tech specs. For me, Saturn + Dreamcast are SEGA's Gen 5 consoles, matching with the Gen 5 time period (1994-2001). But I don't say that you "are just wrong". I merely suggest that folks like you and folks like me agree to have a friendly disagreement about this definition.
What I want to know is: When did games for these systems turn into collector's items? Sellers on eBay want $30+ for complete copies of games and some games are listed at $50-100. You'd think that these were limited run games were they only made a couple hundred or something.
Yes, the Dreamcast did have some Multiplatform games. In fact, there were a number of games that were developed for multiple platforms and released on both the Dreamcast and other consoles of the same generation, such as the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube. Examples of these games included Resident Evil Code: Veronica, Dead or Alive 2, Crazy Taxi 3, SoulCalibur II, and Phantasy Star Online Ver 2.
It's so hard to chose one of these! All of these consoles have great libraries with really good exclusives! Overall, it was a really good console generation and my favorite one! I grew up with the ps2 but I've started playing the GameCube and Dremcast games trough emulation and I love them as well!
I will say one thing that worked in this generations favor. It was right before the HD era which made game development cost go through the roof. So it was the last gasp of developers making weird stuff along with the AAA efforts.
My first console was an Xbox one so I have no nostalgia for these systems, but I recently purchase a mint condition Duke controller just to see how ridiculous it is and ended up absolutely loving it. Most comfortable controller I’ve ever used and I find it strangely really good for racing games.
The duke at launch with halo:ce was incredible. It’s very comfy and the analog sticks have a better feel imo compared to the s-controllers. It also had this sick, dark green, semi translucent covering on the cable.
Got my PS2 for Christmas one year. The Dreamcast for my birthday years later at Gamestop when a used console was like 70 bucks. A Gamecube when the price dropped and although I didn't own an Xbox, but best friend did so I pretty much got a taste of all the 6th generation had to offer, which I don't think I can say for any other generation. This was during my college years, so having a job and disposable income really helped out a lot.
The PS2 library has been badly hurt by later HD rereleases and having lesser versions of multiplatform games for its generation. It was the one console to have during its lifetime but is much less interesting as a retro console. The Gamecube's rise in recent years may have more to do with the PS2's withering than anything else.
Lament of innocense is on the PS2. It all started in the Dreamcast. Sorry about that Sega. I just got Maximo Ghosts to Glory. The circle is complete.(except for gbc G&G which is kind of expensive already)
I see you Bird, and I raise you the Sega Genesis vs. the TurboGrafx-16 vs. the Neo Geo AES vs. the Super NES! P.S. For the generation at hand, the PS2 wins hands down because it had an awesome, gigantic, and very diverse library of games...and it was your personal DVD player of choice (and it even had its own great media remote to boot).
@@RealziesCuts Halo, KOTOR, and PGR games were among the best games of Gen 6 ... but they don't counterbalance the huge array of good games on PS2. PS2 wins for me, easy.
Dreamcast is one of my top 3 favorite consoles ever (next to Saturn & PS1). I don't really think of it as Gen 6, since its mainline releases ended with Rez in Nov 2001. It's sort of its own beast, existing in-between generations like the Switch. I know others disagree ... but for me Gen 6 is PS2/Xbox/Gamecube. On the flipside of that, many in the Dreamcast community would argue that the console is STILL ALIVE, because of all the interesting homebrew and multiplat ports that enthusiast developers still release there. Hard to make perfect definitions in the world of retro videogames, that's for sure. The fact that Gamecube ranks so close to PS2 in your polls says a lot about the fun-loving, positive retro-community attracted to your channel. A lot of Nintendo fans! For me it's pretty clear that PS2 is the leader from a diverse game library perspective, with Gamecube and Xbox tied for a strong second, each sporting many awesome and unique games. As someone who started gaming with a Gen 1 Odyssey 4000 console as a kid in the 70s, I still think of Gen 5 as best gen for me, with Gen 4 and Gen 6 battling it out for second place. For me, Gen 6 was amazing at the beginning (2000-2003), but then sort of petered-out in 2004-2007, too locked in sequel-itis, and also too chasing popularity trends as the industry lurched toward brown-and-grey action-heavy Gen 7 (the weakest gen ever imo).
Can't say that I have a favorite here, because I love them all. I was surprised though, that you didn't mention KOTOR for the Xbox. In general the 6th generation was a great time for STAR WARS fans. It is interesting to watch back how long especially the PS2 had official released games. Fifa 2014 is one example. And although people have issues with online gaming, the PS2 had online game support which the latest least until 2016. 6th generation definitely a great era for gamers, with a great library of games which IMHO aged very well.
Kotor, Battlefront, Starfighter, Jedi Starfighter, Clone Wars, Bounty Hunter, Jedi Knight sequels, Rogue Squadron 2&3, Republic Commando, Lego Star Wars, Obi-Wan, Revenge of the Sith, Racer Revenge, Force Unleashed (a downgraded PS2 version), and yes even Super Bombad Racing. There's a few more on the Dreamcast I missed. Us Star Wars fans had no idea how good we had it.
XBOX>Gamecube>Dreamcast>PS2. I had and still have all. And ouf course people shouldn't mix up 'popularity' with 'fun'. The PS2 of course was the most popluar.. but it also was the least fun, compared to the others. 1. XBOX just two words needed: Crimson Skies 2. Gamecube had a lot of innovative exclusive games (as usual for Nintedo), with some of them, like Luigi's Mansion, being actually great (not so usual for Nintendo) 3. Dreamcast was some great fun, with ChuchuRocket and CrazyTaxi, being the first console with decently looking 3D graphics 4. PS2 was just a PS1 with little better graphics Too many titles just where sequels of the PS1's games, which is just boring! SotC actually was the only game I liked somewhat on that console, but it was technically bad, because the PS2 didn't have enough performance for this game, and so it just started to shine with the later Remake on PS3. Nearly any other game worth playing which existed for the PS2 could be played much better on the PC, and so there was nothing especially great left. PS2 is quantity instead of quality, which is sad, as the hardware would have deserved better. I have gone though dozens of "best of" lists and even a lot of 'hidden gems' for the PS2, yet haven't found any remotely appealing games.. I am sure the PS2's populariy just came because it was the first 3D gaming exoerience for so many, so they where all overwhelmed by the quantity and technology itself, instead of really great games ..
I had all of the 6th gen consoles, but now I only collect the Dreamcast and Xbox. I would go with a PS2 with Free McBoot for all those games. It’s just too overwhelming to collect for. And GameCube just doesn’t do it for me and the games are outrageously expensive. I already have a Saturn collection, thank you.
Saturn is my all time favourite console, but damn is it prohibitively expensive to collect for these days. I wish that I had never sold my Saturn collection as a teenager back in the day.
My soul still burns for Sega. Smoothest game play experiences at the time on DC for fighting games and Sega IPs. Even after DC was cancelled I played great Sega games on the other consoles!
I love that the Gamecube ended up being the Resident Evil machine of the generation... Like, what? The decision seemed just as strange back then as it still does today. But when I saw the first released screenshots of REmake I knew what console I was going with.
I really like the absence of excessive meme/jokes editing on your videos. Some TH-camrs abuse this habit and end up making over sophisticated jokes (Scott the Woz, for example) or putting memes everywhere (too many to mention). Good job.
Love your videos, man. Been watching through a lot of the old ones. You seem to have realized this, but I'll say it anyway: the videos with cutaways and gags are a lot better than the ones where you're just talking to a mic.
If you're into emulation on your Android smartphone, Dreamcast is the best to play with touchscreen controls. NBA 2K2, NFL 2K2, RPGs, and puzzle games are playable without tactile buttons. Dreamcast, PSP, and DS are very easy to emulate these days. You'll have hiccups with PS2, GameCube , and 3DS if your hardware is weak. I brought out my PSP slim the other day after not seeing it for 3 years and didn't realize how small it is compared to my Vita slim. The PSP slim was given to me by my brother. I owned the PSP phat for 11 years until I moved out of the Philippines after 5 years living there and never got my stuff back since it was unexpected. I got my PSP slim hacked and I only use it to play NES, SNES , and Genesis games. It's like a Vita mini for me. I remember the PSP phat being so bulky in 2005. The Vita slim makes a PSP slim look compact by comparison. Get a powerful Android smartphone, a Vita with PS1 classics, PS2 ports, and Switch which has Wii U and PS3/360 ports. You should be able to cover 1st through 7th gens pretty well. The need for Steam Deck is no longer necessary unless you want to play games like FF7 Remake so badly. I like to carry as little as possible with smaller devices. My Flip 3, Vita slim, and Switch Lite covers 95% of my gaming needs. The 5% leftover is for PS4 games like FF7 Remake , Shenmue III (I'm aware it's mediocre), God of War (2018), and Uncharted 4/MGS5 (which I already own both on PS4). But I find modern gaming boring af. All style, no fun in playing them. They become an interactive movie chore.
GameCube needed a proper Mario title. I play Dreamcast more these days because of my Pi. I have an old PS2 I keep mainly for the wrestling games of that era, but I would still call it the best of that generation
The 6th gen is still my favorite generation of gaming. I owned all four of those home consoles bought with my own money. I would have all four systems next to each other next to my Sony Wega TV with octopus cables for the latter 3 machines. If I can rank them, I would say my favorite owning is Dreamcast. Then it goes PS2, Xbox, and GameCube. But since getting into emulation on my Android smartphone last year, I now have GameCube higher than Xbox. It's actually very difficult for me to pick a favorite because GameCube had a lot of Dreamcast games + its own Nintendo exclusives. It didn't have Shenmue but it had the Sonic Adventures, Skies of Arcadia, Crazy Taxi, and so on. And it had the more comfortable controller and more horsepower. PS2 easily had the largest library. It was sorta the jack-of-all-trades , master of none. It wasn't the most powerful. That was Xbox. It wasn't the cheapest. Dreamcast and GameCube were much cheaper but neither could play DVDs unless you got a Panasonic Q. I had the most games from Dreamcast. That system was 2nd to PS1 for number of games I owned for a system. It's really tough for me to choose one. On some days, I prefer GCN over both due to its horsepower and Wavebird was awesome. But then DC had the most creative games early in the gen. Sega's swan song in hardware. If you put a gun on my head and told me to only pick one, then I'll say PS2. It can play PS1 games and DVDs. It had the largest library with the greatest third-party support that Nintendo and Sega stop getting by the 5th gen.
Games played: F-Zero GX (0:00), Dynamite Cop (0:15), Mario Power Tennis (0:20), Klonoa 2 (0:35), Ninja Gaiden Black (1:04), Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando (1:31)
Always great to see Klonoa getting love! Dynamite Cop, eh? I thought it looked like Power Stone. Must check that out! Love this gen.
Dunno if it gets said enough, but having the names of clips right here is a godsend. 👍
why didn't you add this in the description for chapters?
I love Dynamite Coo
Your balance of objectivity and subjectivity is one of my favorite aspects of this channel. This video in particular is a great example of that.
Thank you for that. It's very intentional on my part.
@@RetroBirdGaming The effort shows and is greatly appreciated!
Yeah, he's great at doing that
He loves Xbox Controller S but can still offer criticism of it. What a guy. 👏
The original Duke controller had them in a better place like the Sega Saturn 6-button controller.
Then from the Xbox 360 onward they went with dual shoulder buttons like PS2. Even Nintendo has gone this route with their Switch Pro controller.
I can remember when I received the Dreamcast on Christmas...magical time.
Same
Crazy Taxi, and NFL 2k1 are my big Dreamcast memories….
Same, Xmas 99 for me. Even it having a fan was next gen
yeah, it was really magical when 18 months later sega discontinued it and you could get the entire library for pennies on the dollar from funcoland, or the dumpster behind funcoland if you knew where to look
@@iBMcFly Power Stone 1 and 2, Phantasy Star Online, Ecco the Dolphin, SNK vs Capcom, Zombie Revenge, Street Fighter Alpha 3. I can go on lol
What's really fascinating is that despite the fact that the Dreamcast bowed out long before the others, to this day, it is the most supported console from the 6th generation thanks to the indie scene.
Is that because it plays burned games? 🤘
Funnily enough though all of them still have mods etc that are being made still for them.
Even though it bowed out early, it had more quality games in its library than the N64 had.
@@IMDLEGEND that’s not an impressive accomplishment
KOTOR 2 is probably my favorite game of all time. Glad I still have it and my original Xbox to play it on.
Had them all. Dreamcast seems to hold the most special spot in my heart. Sad to see Sega exit the hardware market.
That transformers Sega arcade game basically has a new gen virtua cop chick in it. Probably how the graphics of a Dreamcast 2 would have looked.
me too i had every sega console released in the uk except hand helds starting with a 1st gen master system plus with light phaser package from a catalogue which cost over £350 in 1988 a lot of money back then i was very lucky because we didn't have a lot, the first ever game i finished on the m,s was a game called Rastan which i use as my game tag even today at 48 years old still gaming 34 years later
@@daz0705 I'm from the States and I also had Rastan on the Master System back in the day.
Who asked?
I’ve seen and have all with gaming from 1980-Now I have every console and tons of games so I’ve been blessed to see all of the generations so far in gaming and I always enjoyed the 3rd to 7th generation of consoles the most
Ditto. 3-6 always the best for me.
Lemuriod (NES, Gen, SNES, PS1, N64, PSP)
Mame4droid (90s arcade classics)
Yaba Sanshiro 2 (Saturn)
Redream (Dreamcast)
AetherSX2 (PS2)
Dolphin MMJR2 (GameCube, Wii)
Then have a PS Vita and Switch lying around. I've been contemplating getting a Steam Deck. I'm reluctant because I'm not into modern games. My Flip 3, Vita slim, and Switch Lite covers 95% of my gaming needs and covers 100% of what I want from the 3rd through 6th gens.
Dreamcast was the best selling console for 1999 AND 2000. TWO MILLENNIA

It's not so much the case with the Wii, but the PS3 & Xbox 360 will have that problem. This problem is 10 times worse for the 8th gen onward.
Honestly there is still plenty of 7th gen games that are collectable and will have most or the full game
And I could argue early with gen games too... buuuut yea it became alot harder to get the "whole game" unless it relreleade in a single disk as an exclusive 2with all the dlc (like what I just did by buying hollow knight aa a physical medium)
Honestly anything before 8th gen seem very collectable and will have most or all the full experience after that, it has become so much harder :/
Anytime he releases a new video it's perfect timing to watch!
I was going to say... you're listing a lot of games I played in this video :)
@@RetroBirdGaming I know! Such a strange coincidence. The fact that it was R&C 2 even, when it could have easily been 1 or 3. Must be on the same wave length RB 😝
Going Commando has always been my favorite in the series. Best story by far.
Great games, dude -- I'd be having a blast playing those three games!
R&C 2 is the best

Gamecube and Dreamcast... the most underrated consoles of the six gen and the best after 20+ years! Their modding scenes get better every year. If you want to play sony games just jailbreak a ps3 from Japan cool anime/games editions and play ps1/ps2/psp/ps3 games on a crt/hmdi TV right from the start! Great video as always!
The original Xbox was fairly underrated too when you factor it outside of America.

I had the original Xbox back In the day and I felt like I had a $5,000 pc. And no one could tell me otherwise

Since getting into emulation, I began to love underrated systems like the Saturn and GameCube.
The emulators I use on my Flip 3
Lemuriod
Mame4droid (always prefer arcade versions)
Yaba Sanshiro
Redream
AetherSX2
Dolphin MMJR2
Dreamcast and Saturn completely passed me by here in Europe. Didn't know they existed until much later.
It was the last generation where games were released as _finished._ No day 1 patches (where one day we won’t have access to them, rendering the discs incomplete.), complete finished games.
You are my fav! Love your kind wisdom and great sense of humor
Thank you!
Ps2 is so easy to collect for too, but the slim models are also backwards compatible, just not with all ps1 games
@@jmac79ersYeah you want to try and find an early slim as those still have the ps1 hardware inside where the later models used Emulation Which caused issues in certain games
Thanks for another great video! I love how you always manage to fit some skits in, no matter how informational the video :)
I guess all GameCubes have an eject button that is half-depressed all the time. I thought mine was the only one like that.
Haha. Yeah, I thought mine might've been sort of broken at first too.
Honey wake up, new Retro Bird video just dropped
Completely agree 👍🏻
Super proud of this console generation. Gamecube is my clear favorite, I own 40 games for the system, a Game Boy Player, and a Retrobit Prism to get my Cube in crisp condition. That said, I have to give props to the Gamecube's contemporaries. This year I was gifted an Xbox and just a couple weeks ago I sunk a solid Benjamin into a Dreamcast! Super excited to delve into both consoles and all they have to offer!
Missed out on trying the Dreamcast. I do remember thinking the 2k Sports games were very impressive looking in the commercials.
I love the arcade style games on dreamcast !!! I miss those type of games 🎃 there was something magical about that little system ❤️
Those Dreamcast games unquestionably had a very distinct late 90s/early 2000s aesthetic to them that hasn't been replicated by anyone else, including other consoles from the late 90s and early 2000s.
@@JEK_VaNNNNN
It is called "arcade", and yes, it was replicated multiple times.
Your analogy at the start of this about online gaming….. that’s 100% me. Couldn’t agree more with all the gripes you listed.
Two really cool games for the PS2 for sure!
I remember having preodered the Dreamcast and picking it up on launch day 09-09-99, it was an epic feeling back then 😎
Having gamed through every generation of console, I can say, with a high degree of certainty, that the best generation of gaming was the 16-bit era.* TG-16 (16bit GFX), Sega Genesis, Neo•Geo, and SNES.
-Matt
My personal opinion is the 16-bit era like you as well. And yes, we all have our different opinions. Keeps things interesting!
The 6th gen is by far my most favorite console generation. I have and love all these consoles but I’d have to say that the PS2 is my favorite. I grew up with it for one, but the library is so big and diverse that you’re always finding something new.
Agreed, it was the one i owned too.
Recently we just got a PS2 at my foster house, and literally when i saw it my brain started getting crazy thinking "we should hoard a huge collection!"
The exclussives back then where so great and there are so many expireinces that you can't get on modern systems like Parappa and Time Crisis.
So basically the Xbox is two times as good as the GameCube and Dreamcast.
And the PS2 is three times as good as the Xbox.
Not sure if you timed it on purpose, but LinusTechTips just ended their weekly livestream, so perfect timing 🙂
Gen 6 wins for me because development costs were low so more developers got involved. Gen 7 is good too but DLC and HD meant that games were trying to be more like movies and could come out in unfinished states.
Oh the high school days of Melee, Marvel vs Capcom 2, and Halo.
Definitely simpler times.
The sense of humor here was great. I laughed out loud while alone in the room.
The neighborhood watch moment got me good. 😂😂😂😂.
Only one had DQ VIII, FFX, GT4, Persona 3 + 4, Katamari, etc. PS2's library is so vast, none of the others can really compare for me. It's my second favorite console of all time.
I gave this video a thumbs up around 3:35. Hilarious shot!
The Dreamcast was the perfect system for fighters.
PS2 has more of my favorite games but Dreamcast has more of my favorite games per capita.
How can you attribute GameCubes reputation to its popularity post covid? That’s like 20 years after it came out.
I owned all four at the time. My favourite was the Dreamcast. If Sega had stayed in the console market I doubt I would have bought the others, or at least bought them at the time. I went multi-platform because Sega went multi-platform. All that said, it was a great generation and all 4 consoles were brilliant. My own personal ranking
1) Dreamcast
2) Gamecube and PS2
3) Xbox
Love the vid, thanks for having such a lush lawn.
I thought people just throw it in with the others in the whole what is retro and what is not.
"And people who think Dreamcast belongs in gen 5 are just wrong."
- The last big Dreamcast game was Rez, which released on Nov 22, 2001.
7:38 - man, the internet has thought of everything.
I love me some Maximo!
Great video Bird, I think since the drop of in the quality of gaming, the big question is:
6th generation vs 7th generation
I see you Bird, and I raise you the Sega Genesis vs. the TurboGrafx-16 vs. the Neo Geo AES vs. the Super NES!
P.S. For the generation at hand, the PS2 wins hands down because it had an awesome, gigantic, and very diverse library of games...and it was your personal DVD player of choice (and it even had its own great media remote to boot).
No. Halo made Xbox the winner 🏆
@@RealziesCuts Halo, KOTOR, and PGR games were among the best games of Gen 6 ... but they don't counterbalance the huge array of good games on PS2. PS2 wins for me, easy.
@rockmork9121 Original Halo hit hard bro
Watching at 1.5x speed just to get the narration to sound like a regular video.
1. XBOX just two words needed: Crimson Skies
2. Gamecube had a lot of innovative exclusive games (as usual for Nintedo), with some of them, like Luigi's Mansion, being actually great (not so usual for Nintendo)
3. Dreamcast was some great fun, with ChuchuRocket and CrazyTaxi, being the first console with decently looking 3D graphics
@@Estorium Just get a Fenrir ODE or a Satiator
My soul still burns for Sega. Smoothest game play experiences at the time on DC for fighting games and Sega IPs. Even after DC was cancelled I played great Sega games on the other consoles!
I love that the Gamecube ended up being the Resident Evil machine of the generation... Like, what? The decision seemed just as strange back then as it still does today. But when I saw the first released screenshots of REmake I knew what console I was going with.
Yeah, that game was and still is such a treat.
I really like the absence of excessive meme/jokes editing on your videos. Some TH-camrs abuse this habit and end up making over sophisticated jokes (Scott the Woz, for example) or putting memes everywhere (too many to mention). Good job.
Never got a Dreamcast. Those controller mini games I imagine would be very hard to collect
I missed the boat on dreamcast sadly
We had a PS2 for years here. They were built to last
The birth of Kingdom Hearts was hilarious 😂
