This. And by the way, I don't even wear makeup (personally don't like it) but I still have really bad acne (because I work as a night shift nurse). So I wear a mask a lot even outside work. And I understand if people want to wear makeup for personal reasons, i also have an opinion as to how much makeup is too much makeup, but I don't like when people put forward an agenda that they have this holier-than-thou attitude thinking everyone should follow when it's easier said than done. It's like some vegans. Like, if I am pescetarian, I don't need to tell other people they should do the same. If they ask, there's definitely some benefits. And when it's my job to tell a patient they shouldn't eat something because it's bad for them, but that's a case-specific thing. Not like what she's doing assuming this works for everyone. What she's doing is shaming people who wear makeup who may already deal with enough problems and judgment as it is.

I wear makeup… but I literally don’t have any pimples on my face or scarring. I just wipe it off, use cleanser, and moisturize at the end of the day but I don’t do it everyday. But my back? It’s never had any makeup or skin products on it and it breaks out 10 times more than my face would even though I wash my back and regularly wash my sheets and my clothes. This girls isn’t speaking facts, she’s just egotistical. People can still embrace or love their natural beauty but ALSO still love to do their make up and dress up for glam or for art. Thinking that everyone shouldn’t wear makeup because of personal preferences is so odd and unrealistic

Spots can also be caused by pressure, because it forces some pores to be stretched open. So if you have a heavy bag, or often do workouts like bench press etc then that will not help

One of the reasons I don't wear makeup that I've never seen addressed by the girls who "don't need makeup" is the huge (and I mean HUGE) amount of Earth's resources that this multi billion dollar industry uses. We could save so much electricity, land (do you know how many stores there are besides the land the companies and manufacturers and the mines use? A lot more than there should be if people didn't "need" makeup), natural resources, the beauty of nature (since it wouldn't be destroyed to create extra mines. Let's not even begin talking about the child labour in those mines), gas and oil, industrial waste (toxic gas emissions that cause acid rain, etc. Also there's definitely some radioactive waste in there somewhere that we few ways of safely disposing them), animal the products are tested on (I know there are cruelty-free cosmetics but animal testing is not banned in the U.S so I don't trust an intetity that benefits from lying to me to be truthful), water (LOTS of drinkable water since it's needed in massive amounts in every step), whatever else the packaging is made of like metals, everything that's used in the advertisements to market the products and also a lot of human effort! So many brilliant people are in the makeup and beauty industry because of the good money they're able to make there. If that money was invested in the medical industry and medical researches that are not beauty-related, wouldn't that instantly quadruple our chances of finding better cures or medicines for serous illnesses? If you wanna wear makeup, do it. Nobody cares but just STOP pretending like you don't "need it" because that's what really irks me. If you didn't need it, you wouldn't wake up at 4 in the morning to have time to do proper makeup for somewhere you need to be at 8 a.m.
And if you don't wake up at 4 a.m. to do your makeup, first of all, good for you for not not giving in to the insane amount of social and peer pressure. It's not easy. But if that pressure doesn't bother you (everyone knows that's a lie deep down. How can it not bother you at all? It's scary to be left out because we have evolved to depend on others to survive) why not stop? Not using it has so many benefits not only for you (makeup's not cheap, plus there are so many products that cause cancer in the long term which are difficult to identify and there's not enough research done on them to make sure they're completely safe) but it indirectly benefits all of the planet.
