I've heard so many good things about this place on Facebook but haven't had a chance to check it out. Now I will because of your video. Thanks for Sharing!
@@uhnavy No, but I just walked out to the parking area and told the first person I saw that I wanted to go to the Krazy Lobster and she guided me to a taxi.
The Krazy Lobster is our go-to place in Costa Maya. Next door to the kitchen part of the place is a jewelry store called Silver Reef that has astounding prices on exquisite, well-made Mexican jewelry. One time another cruiser was in there with me and pointed to a large necklace--her friend had bought the same necklace from a vendor inside the port and paid $100 more for it than at Silver Reef. Also, don't let the waiters direct you to massage tables down the Malecon from the Krazy Lobster . . . they charge much more than the ladies at KL and weren't honest about the price up front.
On vacation, lounging on the beach in the Caribbean, and someone Cheers"ing you with a bottle of water? Somewhere, somehow, that has got to be against some law. lol. Good video. My favorite port as well.
Do you mind sharing how much you spent on food and drinks? Many places there offer all inclusive food and drinks for around $70 pp. Just trying to compare.
@@juliehunt2385 Hi Julie, thanks for watching, I absolutely do not mind. I spent 66.57 for the day for two people for drinks, food, snorkel gear rental and locker rental.
I was just calculating this last night and including golf cart rental instead of a cab. I figured $60-80 cart rental and Krazy Lobster would still be cheaper than paying for three at an all inclusive. Thanks for asking this Julie.

@@allgoodontheroad LOL. I was gonna say the same. The bathrooms are... well... On a beach in Mexico where tourists drink a lot. I've been to worse, (Progresso) but I've definitely been to better. lol.
No, it is not an excursion and is open to anyone. Sometimes they fill up though, so best to make a reservation. There is no fee to be there, just what you spend while there on eating, drinking and rentals.
A WARNING!! I have heard that there are scammers who will sell "Excursions" to here. They will sell you a table and a single drink for @ $20 per person, saying the tables cost more if you wait until you get there. The tables are free! The beach is free! The beer is free! (Just kidding about the beer, but it is just $10 for a bucket of 10 of the 7oz beers. After paying ship prices, it's ALMOST like free! lol)
@@CatherineSchafer-p1y Not sure. They have a website, but I've been here maybe... 8-10 times and never made a reservation. Not sure they even take them or not? Just be one of the first people off the boat, through the shops, out the back to the cabs, and you'll have first pick of whichever seat you want. There's not a bad seat there, so honestly, it really doesn't matter. Even when the place was packed on a Sunday where they have "Locals Day", we still got a great table. Absolute worst case scenario... There are other places to go along the beach, but I've always gone to the Crazy Lobster.

I saw a different video that the taxis right by the 1st taxi stand wont take you to the crazy lobster did you find that true?

Late January 2024.
Did you get a massage? Was it really $20 for an hour? Plus tip, of course
@donnalott6079 i did, and yes it was, just 20 for an hour before tip. .
You said a Mask is $10 a day? What do you mean by a mask? Also it’s my understanding that it’s free to go in with no cover charge.

Thank you for the video. I will be there June 14th. Those prices are for American dollars correct?
Thanks!
Yes, they are. American dollars
If you take pesos they have a Spanish menu and the prices are cheaper on that menu. As an American you will pay more.
So that kid just throw a glass bottle to the stones? The place look sketchy.
So $10 to reserve a table?
You could get away with as little as ten dollars, yes.
