    Thank you for these tips. Not into mma at all but just got kicked in the thigh by a horse and this was the first video I found with sensible treatment suggestions.

    These tips are great! Just got both legs destroyed by legkicks to a point where it's painful to walk but the icing and massaging definitely helps. I also feel that stretching heals my muscle pains faster.

      Yah my training partner is 190 and im 130 and he likes fuckin my leaf leg up,but i found stretching helps alot even though it hurts

    Great info! My problem is on my left lower led right above my ankle. I realized I hurt my vein in bjj. The pain was soo painful I left early from training. I rushed and put ice on it and it's still very painful to the touch and even feels like spiders on another end of my vein when it's touched. there is no bruise or discoloration at all. you wouldn't even kno unless it's touched.

    Thank you for this video. Epa and Dha combined. 2 to 3 grams total. Get it in the liquid form. 1 tablespoon a day. If you have bruising, take 4 to 5 grams a day for 5 days. Vitamin C from food sources.

    Thanks for the tips. I’ve been doing Muay Thai for over 10 years now and only 2 times during that period have I been kicked so hard that I cannot walk or move my leg.
    Didn’t think about the fish oil! I don’t like taking things like ibuprofen so those natural remedies are what I’m looking for.

    I got kicked on my left thigh 2.5 weeks ago and it’s still bruised/hurts. Even have pain in my knee and can barely bend the damn thing.

    Some kid at school kicked me super hard on my right thigh. It’s always the short ones that hit the hardest too. Cant walk properly but it feels much better when I stretch it for a while. There isn’t really a bruise though.

    I got hit in the leg today jumping from a fishing pier here in Ireland i was in the water and one of my friends went up on a wall and jumped (from about 20 feet) and his foot hit my the side of my leg and its is very painful I'm just wondering is it a dead leg without bruising. At the time of impact it was fairly sore but every since my leg got hit It got painfuller and now I can barely walk.

    Hello, thanks for this useful video 👍 As a beginner in full contact striking sports, I recently experienced a light thigh contusion from a low thigh kick with minimum swelling that went away after a few days. However, I seem to have pain radiating throughout my upper leg, including my knee, that seems to be nerve irritation. Do you have any advice on what to do for this? Also, how do I fully regain mobility so that I can bend my knee back?

      @@onmyown2241 hey it fully healed after like 4-6 weeks. I just had to learn to take it easy during sparring until I can contract my muscles fast enough to absorb the shocks

    hi i droped a 40lbs metal plate on my shin bone now its been 1 month and i have a huge lump on the area i droped it it hurts when i touch it but no pain when i walk

    How about brushing on the small bones in your foot after accidentally kicking an elbow with your instep? Left instep has been trying to heal for over 6 months... pain gets out of control whenever I do a long run.

    I checked a ton of kicks 2 days ago and I have alot of swelling in my shins and knees. It hurts to walk, and I think I broke a big toe as well from a short kick I threw.

    It’s been about 4 months since my training “partner” whaled on my leg during drills. I’ve been having some good days but other days I’m stiff. My knee cracks so I assume I tore something. What can you say about knee healing from buckling inwards from thigh contusions.

    My son is a hs senior wrestler. Today he got an mri cause his knee was bothering him after it popped in a wresltimg match two weeks ago. He also partialy torn his lcl last year but according to doctors lcl healed up good. Anyways yesterday's mri showed bruised fibula. My son it's been complaining that his knee is sore and it hurts. Today he wrestled a Match and it was hurting after. Doctor told him to rest it for a week or two

      I did the same my kick got checked though and ended up landing with the muscle instead of shin on my partners knee, my whole upper thigh calf and Achilles are all swollen feeling, i can walk but shit hurts bad

I'm worried as 2 days ago I got a lot of hematomas on my leg from non stop kicks everyday be it hard drilling or sparring not to mention all the road work. I still haven't been able to bend my leg and have a fight in 40 days lol ER said it could take a while to heal

      The cold foot is likely a circulatory issue. However, there could be something else going on.
      Hopefully, it improves as your body heels but you should probably get that checked out by your primary care physician.
      In the meantime try some contrast therapy daily by applying cold and hot water to your lower leg in alternation for 30 sec each for about 5 min.

    Thanks for the good tips but I think it’s time for all of us to avoid activities that get us kicked and injured in the first place. Maybe make the MMA kicks far enough away in practice to avoid contact. Avoid other hazardous activities as well.

    If you get a haematoma then as it clots it *may* help to massage the clotting blood to keep it motile and prevent the clot from preventing motion. RICE, fish oil and Vitamin C is not something I needed read from a man with a whiteboard.
