I had the same problem on my 2011 GMC Acadia. But it was the blend door actuator and not the gear. It was an easy swap. I can't imagine what the shop would have charged. It took me less than an hour. I bet you helped some Mopar folks out there.....
Hey Blurred, I know this was 4 months ago but I’m about to do this this coming weekend! Not sure if you know this but there is another one on the opposite side (dual climate control) and that’s the one that is out in my vehicle. I’m going to do both of them and this video will really help. Just wondering if you’ve ever gotten into the driver side actuator? Thanks again man!
