Bro you are life saver! You right 40 flipping videos on TH-cam and you the only one to get down to source bro! Did your battery have a charge before and after you swapped sensor? Thank you for your diligence my man, you saved my me a unworldly headache
@RexDaSpeedDemon but 8 got mine to work. The only difference is that my key for has to be in the cup holder for the car to start. Which is not a issue but just lil something different. But thanks again bro
Thank you very much. I purchased the sensor from Amazon for $58ca, had it installed by my mechanic and now more problems. You are a genius. Koodos to you.
Anytime brother 😎 Took me months and months of having the issue and seeing a bunch of others have the same issue. No mechanic could figure it out and there were no videos so I decided to take a few days tearing the damn thing apart and after a few F-bombs and some vodka I found the issue 😂 Glad it worked out for ya!
This is so helpful. I am currently going through this with my 2014 Dodge journey and the dealership is saying it's the PCM and that's why it won't start or do anything.
Yea this is a known issue that nobody really had a solution for so I tore the entire front end apart looking for the source and was lucky enough to find it. Watched hours of videos on TH-cam and checked a ton of forums and dodge journey pages and absolutely nothing was working until I figured this out. So I decided to post this hoping those having the same issue would see it and finally have a fix. I hope it helps
We have 2 Journeys. So far so good.’14, ‘15. So far so good, but my wife does have some peculiar fob problems. I should check into that. I hate replacing the battery on these cars though. Thanks!😊
Thanks so much for this video!! :) Glad you fixed the problem :) I'm having the same problem here...watched all the videos you're talking about. Luckily second time this happened i did get the 5 press ignition thing to override and start so i wasn't stranded but that's no solution just a bandaid... I need a fix. I'm at my wits end with this issue but now Ifound this video- so thank you, thank you! At least now I have something to go to my auto shop with as they have no idea...ughhh
I apologize for dropping the F-bomb so much in this video but it was sooooo frustrating and took me days and lots of ripping up the car to find it and I’m only a TH-cam mechanic but it seems that I’ve been solving issues that master mechanics can’t find. Glad I can help!
I watched the same videos you mentioned before finding yours. Nothing is working. My next attempt will be key fob replacment if that doesnt work, then maybe this battery sensor solution .
I appreciate you man this definitely lets me know I’m making a difference 💪🏾 definitely going to keep posting videos. Sorry about sooo many f-bombs, I genuinely hate this car 😂
My battery is good, all power works fine, headlights, dash lights, everything works and has power and it will start if I jump it but it won’t start on it’s on. Would this be the fix for that?
Wow glad checking these videos out in car market to by one have 2013 dodge caravan have battery on top think I will stay away from these in wheel well should not be located there any way where in the world any one want to put one their any ways kind a stupid way since I work on it my self taking to a garage too expensive
im having the same problem currently installing the sensor i’ll definitely be back to let yall know how it goes im praying it works because if not im in alot of trouble lol
Hey great video thank you. I have a 2014 journey that won't start. I have a quick question for you if you can reply id appreciate it. When I get into my journey everything lights up as normal. When I push the start button the light on the ignition goes to acc but then nothing, no start. Did you have that issue? Did your acc light up at all? Very fucking frustrating. Thank you
Yes same exact symptoms. Lights on dashboard were fine until I tried starting it. The brake pedal was extremely stiff and wouldn’t depress. But the car did absolutely nothing. I would start by making sure the battery and normal things are working fine. Like fuel pump, serpentine belt, check motor oil levels, starter and alternator (if you can) but if the battery is charged, it usually means the alternator is fun and most likely the battery is fine if it’s holding that charge. So it leaves you with the starter and this sensor that I replaced and I think it’ll most likely be the sensor if you’re getting clicking when trying to start it
There could be 1000 different reason your dad's journey won't start. This is only the "proper f**king fix" if this is exactly what's wrong with your vehicle. 🇺🇸💪🏻👊🏻🤙🏼
@@gromzak645 I doubt it, it seems that the sensor also has something to do with the key fob and the ignition system. I could definitely be wrong but it’s worth a try
Usually you’re supposed to check these things first. But just in case you didn’t these are all things that can cause it to suddenly not start that I would check. Battery Alternator Starter Terminal wires Ground wires Serpentine Belt
You issue is probably going to be a common problem like the starter, key fob battery, alternator, battery or something normal unless you have a bad ground or loose wire somewhere
Disappointed this fix didn't work for my 2018 Dodge Journey. Everthing works lights windows radio everything works when I try to start it the car just clicks .....you can hear the electronics doing something and seem to want to work but just a click and thats it. I installed this part onto the negative battery terminal but sadly was not the problem. So onward to the next trouble shooting fix.
@@RexDaSpeedDemon I ended up having to get it towed into a repair shop. It was the starter that was bad. Replaced the starter and problem was solved. But Thanks for the tips.

Question when you tried to start the car did you hear a click from the engine bay?
Yes
It’s a little misleading because that also happens when the battery is dead
Thanks for this! Any fix for a horn that blows spontaneously! Had to remove the fuses.
Fortunately Haven’t ran into that issue yet but if I do I’ll definitely make a video on how to fix it
Unplug the horn be hind the grill instead of the fuse

Yes!

just changed my starter and shit still dont work. Replaced battery and alternator earlier months
