    not too bad. looks like just one problem screw. but not so much with the right tool. i didn't even think of checking the door gear to see if it sticks. thanks so much bud

    Repair does suck because of that one T-15 screw, another video on youtube shows that you need to add a screw on the heater side of the actuator gear that goes on the actuator motor to permanently prevent the blend door from closing stuck on the melted glue. If not, youll be replacing the actuator gear very soon if you still hear popping now when you turn on the heat.

      I don’t know about all that. Just don’t turn your or ac all the way one way and you’ll be fine. I

    The gear and slot ship with perrfect alignment when purchasing a new part.. However, my gear on the blend door (passenger side) does not move freely like 3:14. How can I get that gear to align properly?

    The is the most frustrating replacement ever had to do both driver side and passenger side within 3 months😢 passenger side was so much easier

      i sure dont. they screw into plastic. i would try another kind or similar if you cant find the exact ones.

    I got mine out, not too bad, but my issue is the door it self is stuck..Now what?

    • @curtisnstacey
      @curtisnstacey  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      it may be just stuck with old glue from the factory. can you turn the gear on the door with your hand and move it?

      @@curtisnstacey I can turn it both directions about 1/4 of an inch and it's very stiff. Tried putting pliers on it, but felt like it was going to break, so I stopped

      @@spsjason2 I've never seen I've do that unless someone has dropped something down the defrost. I but doubt it'll make it that far. I could tho. Other than that I don't know about that one

      @@curtisnstacey I cut a small access hole in the side of it and yep, it was gummed up, I was able to get it unstuck and now going to clean it up and plastic weld it back together. Better than ripping out the complete dash for it.
