HEY Y’ALL! Merina is my name and Mobile Home Livin’ is my thang! Around here I’m known for mobile home makeovers and large family mobile home livin’! I used to do mobile home livin’ in a trailer park in Tennessee. We’ve set out on a new journey and bought our dream home - a double wide mobile home on some acreage in the hills of Tennessee! FYI - You need to have your unit serviced at least one time a year to keep your coils cleaned. The unit will work much more efficiently. It also gives the service tech a chance to see if you have any conpacitors getting ready to fail. They swell up before the go bad. Also, don't set your thermostat below 70 degrees. This keeps condensation from developing under your house. You will get a much longer life out of your unit. And, of course, change your filters once a month. Use the cheap filter. They give you more air flow. Just wanted to help your family out a little bit. I watch all your videos. Thank you very much for making laugh. 20 yrs in the HVAC business, you learn a lot.
My heating and cooling technician said fall is a good time to have air and furnace checked out, cleaned , and serviced if need be. Cooling season is over and heating season hasn’t begun .

In the military in Kentucky (Knox) housing came to service late fall for winterization and late spring to prep for summer. We never had a system go out. When we retired we continued that maintenance schedule for our units. Living in Arizona for 6 years, we had 2 units…$$$ ick.

Merina be sure to purchase "ceramic cooktop cleaner" for you stove. Glass cleaners will not remove cooking stains. You also do not want to use anything abrasive. Amazon, Walmart, etc. sell different cooktop cleaner kits. This is very important! I have had the same type of stove for years & I also owned a cleaning business for over 25 years. I know my stuff when it comes to keeping up that stove. Congratulations on the new appliances. You deserve the world Merina. Blessings ❤
I have used a brillo pad on my glass top for years with no scratches at all. Special cleaners just suck your money up
@@lisaheckler9157 If you don't use "approved cooktop cleaner" on most stoves, they will not honor the warranty for the cooktop. I'll suck up my money on approved cleaners and stick with the warranty.

♡ Hello Marina and friends. I wanted to ask for prayers again. I mentioned in the last few videos that I had so much anxiety and sadness within my heart. My dog got sick and I was so worried about him. I feared the worst as he had thrown up some blood. He's doing much better now. The vet said he thinks it was a respiratory infection. I also found out that a friend of mine was murdered in April, and I just found out last week. I thought I'd be able to take this devastating news calmly, but I haven't. I'm still so sad about it. Just about everyday, I cry. It was all too much for my heart to handle. It's been especially hard having to deal with other physical and mental health issues I already have. I'm trying to hold on to my strength and to God. I feel as though I don't have the best relationship with The Lord, all me of course. I want our relationship to be stronger. I have so many other concerns and worries on my mind and in my heart. But I'm trying to be easy with myself and do the best I can. Please just keep me in your prayers. I really need it. Especially when it comes to my faith. And especially for all the people and animals in the world who are also going through sad and difficult times. I'm doing better this week, but can still improve. Praying for you all. May God be within you and around you my loves. 💌💋

Oh my goodness! The heat is truly back! This is the heat I dread to remember! I always stick to staying inside as much as I can when it's hot like this. I try to only leave my home early in the morning or when it's dark. But I have had to go out during the afternoon a few times this week, and it's just brutal! 100 F is only the beginning for Texas! Stay cool and hydrated!

@MrsAlmaTrumble My house is so odd with AC! The front of my house gets nice and cool and the back of my house feels so hot! Especially my mom's room! We were actually able to get a window unit for my mama's bedroom! Which is amazing! I would like to get one more window unit for the front of the house. Around August and September, when it gets to about 110 degrees, everyday for two months, my AC runs all day and the house gets to 75 degrees. It happens every year in August and September because of how hot it is. It feels terrible and uses a lot of electricity. I hope we can get a window unit for the front to help with this issue!

We live in East Tennessee. I live 2 counties away from her and we’re about an hour away from the Smoky Mountains. She could rent a nice cabin in the mountains and bring her fur babies with her and have a nice vacation not far from home 😊❤

Our new AC cost $7000. I recommend you have it checked out twice a year for maintenance. Then you can catch things when they are minor.
Yes my HVAC system was close to 11000- furnace was the majority- my house isn’t big
Honestly, there’s no need to do twice a year. Once a year will suffice and find a quality company that will charge appropriately. A lot of companies will tell you twice a year but it isn’t necessary. My Dad has owned his HVAC business for years and would tell you the same thing. Just make sure to change your filters on the regular too.

@@lauriepriebe8065 Well, he’s licensed in Georgia and Alabama and we don’t have breezy or cool summers by any stretch of the imagination. 🥵 It’s crazy hot here and the humidity is like none other. That being said, do what makes you comfortable, it’s your system.
Hello girlie! The fabric on the dishwasher works as insulation so it’s quiet and keeps the heat away from your cabinets too, so don’t take it off. I think you’ll need to put a cabinet between the stove and fridge to be up to code, and also so the heat doesn’t ruin your fridge. The little holes are for your utensils, but they can be removed with no trouble. Your new stove is very pretty just make sure you don’t leave anything on the top because the front knobs turn on very easily and you don’t want to burn your house down. 😂 Oh, and never ever ever slide and iron skillet on your stovetop….it will scratch it like crazy. Also, get a glass top stove cleaning kit from Amazon or Lowe’s, to keep it pretty and shiny. Ok….thats all the unsolicited advice I have for today!! 😂😂😂Love you! PS the lizard drama had me crying from laughing so hard! A lizard in my pantry! Lol 😅
And if you use a razor scraper,make sure the surface is wet so it doesn’t scratch.
I love my glass stovetop. But I second all the above advice. I never use my iron skillet on it. I don’t miss it because the top is so easy to wipe down and keep clean. I’ll never go back to a stove with “eyes” again!
Appliances are nice . Put the puppy up when you start your fireworks up we don’t want to frighten them and they will run away. My dogs are so afraid of fireworks ❤
No one deserves that new stove more than you Merina. So happy for you!! Can’t wait to see the new kitchen remodel. Just a tip for cleaning the stovetop. Have a razor handy and any food or liquid that gets on there, scrap it off with the razor. Then use a cream cleaner especially for glass tops and it will keep it looking new. I’ve had mine for 25 yrs now.
Never use a razor! Only use plastic scrapers! Then buff with the cream polish.
Most people on you-tube are so into themselves, they don’t appreciate the fact that without subscribers they wouldn’t get to continue online. Love it when you praise God for your blessings!!! Love your channel!!
I don't know if the ac guy told you.... But make sure you have it "serviced" every 6 months to a year, they will just clean any kind of debris like leaves, dirt etc, it will help everything run smoother and better, we learned the hard way🙄lol, and of course keep changing your filter every month 😉. Marina. Next time the air goes out. After sun goes down starts cooling off. Close all windows except bedrooms. Put your box fan up to an open window in another room. Facing out. This pulls hot air out of the house and pushes cool air inside the open bedroom windows. I grew up with no air conditioner. This is how we kept cool at night. Turn fan off by like 7 am. House will stay cooler until up in the day. 100% works. My Daddy used to put the top screen door window down. Because heat rises and put fan facing out in top of the back door.

I love seeing how excited you get over new things - you do it the right way, you save up until you can afford them instead of buying everything on credit. If you're anything like me, you will hate the glass top - it's so hard to keep clean and stuff burns on it so easily.
I loved my glass top stove,new house has the drip pans and elements,yuk! The main thing to remember when using a razor scraper is to always have a wet surface to prevent scratches.
One of the best investments we got with our home is a home warranty with Old Republic. Our AC broke the first week in our home and the outside unit had to be replaced. A 4000 dollar job only cost us 500 dollars. They even cover your appliances.

There needs to be a space between the stove and fridge - a cabniet. I think its a standard... for saftey reasons. New homes wont pass insepections with them next to each other.
Merina, have your furnace and air conditioner serviced once a year. Fall time, we have our furnace cleaned and spring time, the air conditioner gets cleaned. When we do that, they last much longer than those that do not get serviced. You started the kitchen makeover and you should continue to show us the rest of it. If they do not like it, they can move on. You give us such good ideas on these makeovers, I personally think you should continue them.

I have my heat pump/ ac unit serviced twice a year. It's basically a cleaning and check up to make sure everything is running smoothly. Most people never get it serviced until it's broken. Even if you just got it done once a year that would be better than nothing. The cost for me is around $135 depending if they have to add coolant. It also helps to extend the life of the unit because it never has to work harder than it should. Love the renovations... kris

Hey Merina, so glad you got your air fixed. I work for a heating and cooling company and it can definitely get super expensive. If I could suggest something for you. Try to get a service agreement where a hvac company will do preventative maintenance on your unit twice a year. Once in the spring and once in the fall. It truly does make a difference in the life of your unit. It shouldn’t be expensive at all. Our company offers the service agreement for $13.99 per month or a one time payment of $189 for the
year. Hands down would recommend shopping around in your area.

Girl, I feel you. I'm from Louisiana and we would go through horrible storms down there. We live in ga now with my husband's family but girl we were without power a whole week last summer and I remember being in tears over my kids enduring that. We would take rides in our truck when we could and the hotels/motels were full from TX all through Alabama. We were out on our porch at midnight. It was quite the experience and then one winter we had a very unusual rare snow event and kept us inside (snowed in)for a week thankfully I went grocery shopping prior to and was stocked up and it lasted us.

Consider getting AC and heat serviced each year to keep them lasting longer. I pay 20 a month to a company...it gets us free annual service for each and priority service with issues (no 2 day wait list) It's a good deal.

Please keep a precious family close to me in prayer. A lady who is like a little sister to me was in a auto accident early hours of Monday morning. Her fiance, and her two precious babies lost their lives. Her fiance was in his early 30s, a girl 3 years old, who just celebrated her birthday the day before, and a baby boy 5 months old. My friend has injuries but she was the only survivor. They were local to our area, so you may have heard about it on the news. WBIR shared their story tonight on the news. I'm asking if everyone can please keep this momma in prayer for the days ahead. This is so heartbreaking.

Be mindful on the new stove, glass tops require pots and pans for induction stoves. No cast iron either!
Hi, just wanted to pop in and say that not all glass tops are induction. I've had a glass top/electric for years and I use normal pans. (I confess to not being sure re cast iron though, as I don't use them) x

Please keep my daughter in your prayers. She had a seizure at buyers I called an ambulance. She spent 5 days in the hospital yesterday. She fell outside, hit her head and hurt her back so bad. They had to give her blood when she was in the hospital and they were drying blood every 4 hours. She needs a healing in her body and she needs salvation. Please pray for my daughter.
