he's OK... no i'm kidding he is another great one that's apart of this/our generations players from this era.. billy and the rest the band are supreme musicians also and that's why it's sounds so freaking good, because it IS that great !

John Tempesta, monster in the fucking drums, pqp. /,,/
no the big 4 is the list of the 4 most commercialy succesful thrash band. I reckon this is bullshit, Testament is better than Anthrax by a mile, just like Overkill & Exodus. But eh, Anthrax sold more albums than these previously mentionned bands.
not really bro...without alex & chuck, there's no testament... in the beginning is all about eric & alex...but as time flies...chuck vocals are getting stronger and solid... i would consider chuck is one of a hell singer...and eric is one underrated guitarist...
Not for me. Alex’s solos totally make the songs. There are only a handful of metal guitarists who add so much to a song when they take a solo. I’m not talking chops either. I mean his melodies and the way he structures his solos are very unique and totally make the song.
Ahhh royalty of metal...saw them with Megadeth & Slayer. One of the best shows I have ever seen. Testament brought their a game and it was splendid. Been going to metal shows since the 70's...word of advice...do not ever miss a Testament show!
Tempesta isn't messing around. Dude's fired up. Love this version. Practice had such bad production, it's badass hearing it better live than studio. And you can see Chuck still cheesing during Alex's solo
I love when chuck billy air guitars, he always looks like he's have a kick ass time on stage. Saw them recently with anthrax and death angel, but wasnt fortunate enough to see this song played live
This is my favorite song of testaments , that impossible to hold your head and body still if you listen to this track especially when it comes to be live like this
89 yılı samsun lise 3 teyim bu album çıktı bir hafta okula gitmedim.. Yıllar geçti adamlarla bay area concordda aynı mahallede yaşadık..belki Testamentin türkiyedki en büyük fanıyım..
The band as a whole seems to be enjoying the reunion. You can have a band of all the talent in the world, but if they don't have good synergy, you don't have a good band. Testament's original lineup(with the exception of the revolving drum seat) is the ideal lineup for this group. They all have such a great attitude when they're together and they definitely have the talent to match it.
@gostillerz forgot to add: Look at Chuck during the solo. He's going "damn bro, that's sick". He might be a Jazz guy, but you can tell Alex is loving this.
Love this band since the early 80s. Saw them live in Flint Michigan with slayer. I have a question though..... Why is Alex trying to look like Mr Sheffield from that show "the nanny"
Because they can't pay him as much as The Cult do. I think he's the drummer that fits them the best. Maybe that's why this live DVD kicks so much ass right in those songs where he's drumming. And maybe that's why "Low" is so fucking amazing.
Are there any other versions of Sins of Omission that's not the album version? I love their live, heavy sound and the album version doesn't do this song justice. I can't seem to find any other live version of this song that's got good sound.
Why is Metallica still so popular when there are much better bands like this that are out there that play the same genre of music? Lets face it, Metallica peaked over 20yrs ago. To me, they haven't been the same since And Justice For All. Which, by the way is a great album. Just my opinion. Take care and peace.
To answer your question, metallica is still popular because of what theyve accomplished in the past, the black album in particular, they became so commercial that even contemporary radio stations play their songs extending their music not just to metalheads but to non- metal audience as well, used to know people that because they listen to black album they thought theyre into metal lol, testament on the other hand is popular and has hard core fans but not to a commercial degree. Only real metalheads appreciate them and know how good they are, much much better musicians than metallica could possibly be.
Mr jedsebastian has a point. although I understand what u mean bro I prefer SLAYER, TESTAMENT, and other bands over Metallica... I love the aggressiveness that these bands put out. Especially SLAYER!! I'm a fan what can I say haha
Skolnick must be one of the greatest guitarists in the world. Great, man!

The way one riff transitions into another and ups the adrenaline is just breathtaking. Favorite thrash band hands down.

Still watching this in 2024💪🏻

Chuck Billy=Best vocalist and Best Air Guitar player\,,/
I don't ever think we're ever gonna find it
chuck Billy is the best. Fuck yesh
Testament is eric peterson, without him dont think the band could still be around.
not really bro...without alex & chuck, there's no testament...
in the beginning is all about eric & alex...but as time flies...chuck vocals are getting stronger and solid...
i would consider chuck is one of a hell singer...and eric is one underrated guitarist...
nope without Eric and Chuck there is no Testament. Alex is still a hired gun. Eric is the riff master.
Not for me. Alex’s solos totally make the songs. There are only a handful of metal guitarists who add so much to a song when they take a solo. I’m not talking chops either. I mean his melodies and the way he structures his solos are very unique and totally make the song.
Eric is a hell of a music writer, but Alex is a far better soloist. Eric lays down the skeleton of the song and Alex fills it in very well
.
A gem. Just found this today.
Tempesta is a god damn beast on those drums.
This song never sounded so good, those drums are insane!!
Liked him in White Zombie too.

Testament is such a great live show. 1st time was them opening for Priest on the Painkiller tour.

I believe PWYP was recorded live in studio.
