Awesome discussion! Thanks Vivek and Sriram. Great questions by Sriram and Vivek reviewed the Triple absolutely perfectly. I own the '24 765 RS and found that I agreed with all his points.
I just bought the 2024 RS model. I also heard a lot of bad things about the Keerthi outlet. They even messed up fixing my hsrp. They did not make it feel special in any way when I bought it and the same during the delivery. I was thinking of taking it to Khivraj for the servicing. Please post of description of the places which were mentioned for the servicing during the video. It would help me out when my time for servicing comes.
I have ktm 390 adventure with Metzeler Tourance Tyres. Its front tyre is skidding in gravel just after 5000 kms. May be its the winter in Uttarakhand. Can anyone suggest sticky front tyre for gravel. Rear tyre is fine.

Hopefully the algorithms will get this video out to those interested in, and for those considering purchasing, the Street Triple. All the best with your channel.
Fascinating podcast delving into the psychography of an avid biker and owner of Street Triple . Would love more such podcasts from owners of various biking segments ❤❤❤
It's very strange, the video came out right on the time. I'm having a good deal for Street Triple 765RS 2018 and will check on the bike this weekend. I'm just curious if we need to worry about the old model? Or it's not that much to worry about since they're mostly the same except for the ergonomics change comparing to the new models. P.S: the podcast is extremely good, the discussion is right on the point. Keep it up.
Thanks barry. The latest is better for sure but marginally. The 2024 feels more free flowing and better power delivery down low. But it’s marginal. So dont worry and grab that deal

My family already has a tiger 900 rally pro. And this video gave me the push for the street triple. Can you also tell on why you decided to sell the NX500?
Like most of Vivek's responses, this isn't going to be a short answer. The NX500 will be bought by people who know exactly what they want. We'll try and do a longer video on this. But it is not an easy answer. The bike is so special but will not suit most riders because they come with expectations that are beyond what the bike is made for.

Strongly agree with Vivek on all that he said about the Street triple. Also, I face that weird ticking sound on cold start that Vivek was mentioning.. But, as his mechanic pointed out, it goes away in a few seconds once the motor gets properly lubricated. One con that he missed pointing out is the muck splattering from the rear tyre on wet roads. Your entire back has a proper coat of wet stuff from the road. Including the back of your helmet.
These include not just the routine fluid changes but also other consumables. E.g. Shims, Brake pads, calipers etc. and something called an Engine Kit (worth 17K) which has smaller parts that need to be replaced at the 20,000K services.
I had the same engine top end rattling on start up, up until its first service. Running in engine oil (I believe) is mineral based to encourage wear for bedding in reasons, after that it’s fully synthetic to reduce wear rates. It rattles no more.
Hey Vivek/Sriram, Could you please suggest some good mechanics/third party services centres who works well on Triumph in Banglore? :) I recently bought a scrambler 400x, as I was hearing a lot of complaints on the service centres, I am little hesitant to take my bike to service centre. it would be very helpful if you could suggest.

I usually skip most of the content part on any reviews mainly the autocar ones but surprisingly I didn’t forward one second. Amazing video, all thanks to Vivek and sriram who made me select the street triple rs 2024 ❤❤
I'm thinking of getting myself an RS this year! and this video has been nothing short of encyclopedic for a prospective owner! Service issues be damned! I already have a 2009 Yamaha FZ for that stress free commuting. Thanks brother!
I used to work for another European motorcycle brand' after sales, I had to visit Banglore twice to service 2 motorcycles, apparently the service centres in banglore are expensive and people hate them big time
Loved the ownership review here. It was honest and someone who owns a Triumph Tiger 800 can relate through & through. Its true that the Experience at Keerthi Triumph Service (Bangalore) is not so pleasant. The final service cost is way above the initial quote. It would be nice if we are informed of the parts/price changes in advance so we are well prepared and not have unexpected surprises. I'd my front forks serviced at Keerthi and ended having a loose cone set. They blamed it on the risers which was clearly not the case. Later had it serviced at Khivraj Triumph service (Whitefield) twice but the job was not perfect. Its quite disappointing that a premium segment bikes receives such treatment. Infact my car which costs equally has a better service experience and easy on pocket. We expect a better after sales service when the service costs are on the higher side. Also as Vivek said, there's some sound which comes from the clutch assembly when the engine is cold. Its less noticeable when its warmed up. I've also noticed a similar behavior on the 2024 street triple. Seems to be the nature of the engine. @open adventures - This is a nice segment, please keep these coming.😊
Good one, as I own one(RS) I agree with 36mins of podcast. in short- Bike is beautiful it’s the environment condition which won’t allow you to enjoy the bike completely. It’s mostly made for smoother Tarmac and our roads are world class. Bike like slow speed, but.. but when your on this bike you don’t want to keep it slow all the time. Good for city rides. But I would prefer to have an alternative(even an active during peak hours). Triumph customer satisfaction is very mediocre. Pillion a big no, it will spoil both riders and pillion experience. May be ergonomically z900 is better for pillion(if you change seats). 5000 rpm and above, makes you feel you just got another bike, it’s a joy. I tried monster, it has better torque makes you feel faster, it’s better for pillion, overall a great one but Ducati heats up and heard about technical issues l. Z900 is smoother because of inline 4 character. Stripple is more fun. How I wish we had better infra to enjoy what we spend on.
When I was in Delhi, I used to do my own oil changes on my R15 and Harley Davidson XR1200X. I have even rebuilt the front forks on my own. It's fairly straightforward and you end up saving a lot on the labour charges and get the satisfaction of doing a neat job. Just get some basic tools, knowledge and you should be good to go. I have seen mechanics having no clue of what a torque wrench is.
Very interesting conversation. Triumph Street Triple is definitely a better naked sports bike than Z900 in terms of handling and electronics. However it fails dismally on the value for money segment. It's not only more expensive to buy and maintain but is also less reliable than Z900.
Terrific review! I want to touch on riding with a passenger. It's advisable to refrain from having anyone on the backseat, as mentioned in the interview. The strong engine braking and acceleration can be challenging for inexperienced passengers. Shortly after acquiring my STR last week, my friend fell off the backseat within four hours. Although he's fine now, he did sustain a few stitches on his head. This occurrence emphasizes that the bike isn't intended for passengers
It was a insightful and entertaining conversation. I would like to share some unsolicited feedback that may help improve the channel: - The camera person felt like a distraction. Perhaps, better cuts while editing would help solve this issue or using multiple cameras (definitely more expensive) to shoot BTS could help. - The set design has the potential to improve by leaps and bounds. It feels like a set that is targetted towards readers or literature or productivity enthusiasts. Probably, a slightly rugged and industrial design would help. - I really don't know what kind of a person you're, Ram. I'm unaware of the experience you pack in the field but some moments made me feel that a little more expertise could help you be a better host. I'm pretty sure that'll will come in with more episodes in. That being said, I wish you all the best with this project.
Thanks for your detailed note. We agree with all of them and will try to get better as the channel grows. 1. We've got this feedback so many times. Unfortunately for us Supreet was designated to also refill our beers. The 2 cameras we've used are both borrowed of now. :( So expensive they are no? 2. The set is actually Vivek's home. Once we have more budgets, we'll try to do better 3. Ram is a very experienced rider. But point noted. You will see more of him in future videos.
Good one, informative. You guys almost touched upon every aspect of the street triple. What’s the mileage man ? Many would want to know . Good Job Guys

@@OpenAdventures I always believe, most of us can save all their life to buy one of these, but the service costs are just unaffordable. I love my Bajaj for this. A brake switch cost just 70 Rupees. So is the story with most smaller parts. I hear, the Z900 set of keys itself costs 50k.
Am a middle class guy and really want to move from my twin Cylinder interceptor to a triple or quadruple.... I can manage the buying price by savings and loan... But wat am afraid is the service and spare parts cost. Plus the regulations from our citizen friendly government making it more harder for middle class people to make their dreams to reality
Unfortunately, Kawasaki in Bangalore doesn't offer a test ride for the ZX4R. We do not understand how they expect to sell any. Having said that, at Rupees 10.5 Lakhs, we also do not understand why someone would buy it.
Completely agree… my wife had a scrambler 900 and now the Tiger 900. Keerthi is pathetic! We now take it to Cochin or Goa absolutely splendid experience and service quality is top notch. We will NEVER give it to Keerthi! Manju from Mottrad house is great for service too.
Same here.Had a street triple r rode it for 16k.Recently after the Bajaj take over the service and parts prices are through the roof and service satisfaction has gon through the Floor.Previously it was bad but now its worse. They charged me 16k just for front break pad including the service and part.Keerti service is the worst.I sold my bike due to bad services and thinking of never buying beautiful triumph machines just because of service.
@OpenAdventures i wanted to get it serviced in an authorised service center for at least 2 years..finally fed up and sold the bike..Now i want to buy the Tiger 900 but due to bad service..i wil be going for Bmw 900gsa after its launch

What do you do for a living in order to be able to afford all these bikes? And have enough income
Vivek is old. He's over 40. And he has no kids.
I usually skip most of the content part on any reviews mainly the autocar ones but surprisingly I didn’t forward one second. Amazing video, all thanks to Vivek and sriram who made me select the street triple rs 2024 ❤❤
Thank you so much. We think you'll be very happy to own one!
hey there, a small suggestion, make these podcasts available on Apple Podcasts/Spotify. Love the format!
Thank you for the suggestion.
Thank you. I have been thinking of owning one. Your video was quite informative.
Thanks for watching. Cheers and all the best!
After too long some authentic bike talks… enjoyed it… totally relate it👏🙋♂️
Glad you liked it
Lovely video, will considering subscribing soon.
However incoming alert - 790 Duke coming soon at a KTM dealer near you.
We're keenly waiting for the 890 Duke
I'm thinking of getting myself an RS this year! and this video has been nothing short of encyclopedic for a prospective owner!
Service issues be damned! I already have a 2009 Yamaha FZ for that stress free commuting.
Thanks brother!
Woohoo on the RS. The bikes great. You'll love it. Thanks for the kindest comment so far
Did you consider Zx6r ?
Vivek did, but at that point it was paused for sale in India

Thanks a ton! We believe that the noise is coming from the cam chain. Hopefully this mystery will be solved soon. Safe riding.
@@OpenAdventures I got the issue fixed at Motoblazer last week. The issue was with the clutch basket. Now the engine runs smoothly :)
@@lovesmuscumani Thanks for taking the time and letting us know!!!
Sriram ! You are serving me the next Big thing on TH-cam! Keep it up. Very informative 👏 👌 👍Keep it rolling. 🎉🎉🎉
Was that an inside joke?
Cheers!
Would like to see a similar video like this about the triumph trident 660.
Thanks. Will try
Thanks for the tip
11:00 The ultimate love hate relationship. 😅
🤗Only love. No hate.
Good one, I completely agree on service disappointments, which is why i did it myself!
Super!
Very interesting conversation. Triumph Street Triple is definitely a better naked sports bike than Z900 in terms of handling and electronics. However it fails dismally on the value for money segment. It's not only more expensive to buy and maintain but is also less reliable than Z900.
Thanks for this video, please make more. Perhaps one more with Vivek. Subbed ❤
Thanks for the sub!
One bike that i would like to hear about is T120 .
Great Podcast 👍
Thanks. We'll try to find one and ride one.
Bang on. The same thing happened in Vivek's Duke as well. Although no-one was hurt thankfully. But spot on. And thanks for letting the others know.
@@OpenAdventures happy to help :)
Excellent Ownership review. My dream bike some day.
Thank you for watching. Hoping that day is soon!
It was a insightful and entertaining conversation.
I would like to share some unsolicited feedback that may help improve the channel:
- The camera person felt like a distraction.
Once we have more budgets, we'll try to do better
3. Ram is a very experienced rider. But point noted. You will see more of him in future videos.
Good one, informative. You guys almost touched upon every aspect of the street triple. What’s the mileage man ? Many would want to know .
Good Job Guys
Thanks. Depending on the way you ride and the riding mode you use, you can expect anywhere from 15 to 19 kmpl
Strongly agree on poor communication and making you feel unimportant 😒
Seriously!. Maruti's service is better than this by miles
Even Wroom with Kiran Sachin experienced the same....
Awesome podcast…..NEED MORE

Awesome podcast. Summarise everything. Mirrors are not clear and I will not even remember to mention it.
Thanks for listening
Good start, amazingly shot
Thanks Rohit!
Awesome content. Such grounded real world info is hard to find. Please do them for more superbikes.
More to come!
My father bought a RE in 2011. Back then It was about uniqueness. Now RE has become a community.
Vivek bought an RE in 2011 as well!! How young are you?
@@OpenAdventures I am 25 years now. Trying to get a job, i have a dream to open a superbike workshop. but dont know where to approach to learn fixing superbikes.
What about mileage? No one talk about
15 to 19 kmph depending on how you ride. But closer to 19 for most
@ thanks
You didnt come back to the Thunderbird story
We will cover this at some point. But we will pass this note on to Sriram!
Would also request you to ask about financing of these big bikes in the next podcasts.
Thank you! There is already a great one on this subject which we recommend watching from Powerdrift: th-cam.com/video/tGLhXhol3OY/w-d-xo.html
If you have further questions, let us know
Thanks for the suggestion, however, it’s always a great insight to know an individual’s actual story behind managing the money equation for the purchase of a big bike.
@@Mimolimotimo Thanks. We'll try to do this. But we don't know when.
It was a very good interview.. lot of content i not skipped any part that is good... like the snake ride in bad road. Thanks vivek and sriram
If possible post review about also
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great discussion but the "ding" sound is irritating especially when I am listening while I am doing the chores.
Only one advice. Pour yourself a beer and watch the video instead of doing chores.
Hmmm! The person wearing orange shirt is giving me serious butterflies in the tummy! My heart is racing to a 250 now.
250 BMP or KMPH?
Awesome Video. As a matter of fact I am also drinking beer now and watching this video. Cheers. Next year I will buy street tripple RS or S1000 R (single R). Cheers sir!
Cheers!
So raw love the content
Thanks for watching
Whats with the guy walking around in the back?
Thanks. It was our first video so we weren't really paying too much attention. He was also refilling our beers from time to time. But we've put an end to this now!
What is the milage?😅
Anywhere from 15-20 kmpl depending on your riding style
50k for service.? Why??
Including consumables and periodic part changes
@@OpenAdventures I always believe, most of us can save all their life to buy one of these, but the service costs are just unaffordable. I love my Bajaj for this. A brake switch cost just 70 Rupees. So is the story with most smaller parts. I hear, the Z900 set of keys itself costs 50k.
I want a sports bike. But i never cross 70 kmph. That itself is too fast for me.
🫡 no shame in that
Am a middle class guy and really want to move from my twin Cylinder interceptor to a triple or quadruple.... I can manage the buying price by savings and loan... But wat am afraid is the service and spare parts cost. Plus the regulations from our citizen friendly government making it more harder for middle class people to make their dreams to reality
We hope your dream comes true real soon!
keep up the good work sir excited for more video
Thank You. The Vstrom Vs the Transalp... Coming soon...
Wow great podcast…I also have a Street Triple RS and am a proud owner of it.
Great minds think alike!!!
Fantastic!! Please do it for zx4r
Yes yes
Will you buy it but?
@@OpenAdventures yup
Yes
Unfortunately, Kawasaki in Bangalore doesn't offer a test ride for the ZX4R. We do not understand how they expect to sell any. Having said that, at Rupees 10.5 Lakhs, we also do not understand why someone would buy it.
Completely agree… my wife had a scrambler 900 and now the Tiger 900. Keerthi is pathetic! We now take it to Cochin or Goa absolutely splendid experience and service quality is top notch. We will NEVER give it to Keerthi! Manju from Mottrad house is great for service too.
Awesome. Thanks for the info.
My man knows how to speak and engage people !!
💪
Same here.Had a street triple r rode it for 16k.Recently after the Bajaj take over the service and parts prices are through the roof and service satisfaction has gon through the Floor.Previously it was bad but now its worse. They charged me 16k just for front break pad including the service and part.Keerti service is the worst.I sold my bike due to bad services and thinking of never buying beautiful triumph machines just because of service.
Just take it to a third party garage. No?
@OpenAdventures i wanted to get it serviced in an authorised service center for at least 2 years..finally fed up and sold the bike..Now i want to buy the Tiger 900 but due to bad service..i wil be going for Bmw 900gsa after its launch
Great video. Very informative..
Thank you for saying that. Cheers
waiting for more videos like this
Thanks
Hey, I have a 18 rs I have ridden most of the big bikes from Ducatis to Re. Striple has a soul the whine of the triple is addictive.
Re is the most overated underpowered atm.
Vivek agrees for sure.
I recently own a Duke 390 , have touched 155 on it, But i keep questions from Ns 200 owner what's the top speed? When I say around 160 , they say I have done 160 on my NS 200😂
Very articulate conv. And yea, Keerthi doesnt care, he is right
Thank you for the comment and your time
Great podcast!
Thank you for saying that
Beer in whiskey glasses bring the most important discussion from our life
Hahahaha. We promise you that next time, there will be only whisky in whisky glasses
@@OpenAdventures no need to change 😅

It was not the glass with beer in it.
It was scotch
Scotch was had on the second episode!!! Promise!!!
