Hi mark, first off i would like to say it was great to see you and chat with you on sunday as i was a marshall on the DGR and when you told me that you were bringing a review on the street triple 765RS i was so eager to see your video. Well you did not dissapoint as your reactions were fantastic and when you clocked the tunnel and opened the taps through it made me laugh. What an awesome machine and a great soundtrack to boot. Great review mark and i look forward to the review of the 765R model. Cheers from Gary.
Hi Gary yes nice to meet you too....I must do the dgr next year looked great 👍 Yes awesome 765 ..r model coming soon and hopefully lots more triumphs Best wishes mark
Finally ended up buying an RS and I am so impressed! It is absolutely comfortable, smooth, precise, agile, super easy to ride, wow! Definitely not as punchy as the CP3 but similarly very exciting in a different way ! thank you for your great review that really helped me in my decision.
Thanks for this great video. I testride this bike two weeks ago and its awesome. It tip in so easy and is so fun to ride. Sadly its so expensive here in Sweden. The R is also a nice bike but dull colours.
Couldn't agree more. If I were to buy one I would go for RS just because of colors. I get that Triumph wanted visual separation between two models but common, R is too dull.
Stunning bike in a stunning colour! Quite a few optional extras on that example. All of the protection accessories, premium front and rear brake reservoirs, tank pad and non-standard bar end mirrors.
Love the look of this bike.. Its like if they made Bumblebee a motorbike instead of a car. Love the dash, big, quality screen. Has cruise control as an add-on.. And you can buy this thing in the US.... Hot dog baby...
Mark, the world needs more Suzuki reviews. In my experience they're not on the razor edge of leading tech, but they have a balance between the components and set up that's deserves appreciation, and I don't hear a lot of problems from the owners. These days people are forgetting Suzuki. My next bike will probably be a Suzuki or a Kawasaki. I'd buy a Yamaha if they ever decided to sell a middleweight bike that didn't jerk on/off throttle and had properly balanced and damped suspension (looking at you, MT07/09).
It's a beautiful bike Mark. Love the golden yellow and black. Looks like a bee. And it's a got a key!!!!! Whoooohoooo!! No bloody awful keyless ignition, but it doesn't have cruise control ................ unless it is an option. I hope it is. I could chop my Speed Triple 1050RS in for this if it rides as well as you say, no reason why it shouldn't. The sounds is addictive. The 2018 Street Triple RS I rode was pretty flat below about 9k revs but above this it flew which meant you were either riding around in 2nd or third gear the whole time to get it to go or if in 4th, 5th or 6th riding at license losing speeds. The engine didn't have much low down torque hence my 1050RS which does, lots of it. It looks like it's got black anodised brake fluid reservoirs as well. Do you know if these are std or part of Triumph's aftermarket option? Don't like the plastic ones even the dark plastic reservoirs that most manufacturers spec bikes with. Looks like it could be very popular. Shall look forward to your R review, although I would probably go for this. Thanks for your review.
Hi Alex yes the 17-20 plates were quite peaky ...since 20 plate onwards and especially this year the mid range is vastly improved Yes the master cylinder is standard on these ... fantastic fun ... obviously not the grunt of your 1050 but it's definitely the best bike I've ridden as an all round package for a long time Best wishes mark
Watching this from the Caribbean, love the colours of this, the bug eyes, amazing sound, I did consider the r version, 2019, it felt like putting slippers on, low seat, comfortable for my 5'3", the price was the final factor (too much for my budget) bought the tracer 700... Overall a very nice bike... thanks Mark, great as always 🎉 xx❤
Hi Martine ... Caribbean sounds great 👍...yes it's a fantastic bike ... triumph have been making a winner for years with the street triple Have a great holiday x
G'day from Australia Mark, Triumph have been around for ever and so have l but l still haven't warmed too but one, and that's my fault not the bikes, Norton, Matchless, BSA, and Honda yes, this is another great Motorcycle and l hope Triumph are around for a long time, how ever in Australia they are too expensive, and the parts and service prices are through the roof, and resale value is low, you can pick up a late ( less than 10 years) model for not much pocket money, my Son rides one he loves it, not the service prices, great review, that's my warts and all review, each to there own, cheers mate Neil 🤠.
Woooooo! The expression "Goes like sh*t off a shovel!" comes to mind. I don't own a motorbike but, well, this one is so desirable. However, I don't think I would survive very long on it.... Thanks for a great review: it's woken me up!
Lovely bike! Mr Bloor is to be congratulated. I'd mistake that bike for a UJM any day. Well done Triumph I say! Great review as always and it's NOT raining! Hooray. Have a great week sir. From Australia.
Home button? Is that the same as drones? Press the button and the bike takes you home? Niiice!! 😆😆 I love street triples. Lovely machine - and review of course.
I have the '24 765 R White model. The video won't do justice to the sound though it is awesome and not in any need to blow an additional grand on replacing the entire exhaust as a couple channels here in the states have done. Motodynamic has a taillight with the integrated signaling for anyone who has one of these ready to rid yourself of the horrible extension which holds the plate.
Hi no sorry not had much to do with the moto2 but if it's anything like the rs it's amazing I've got a 19 plate rs 765 and it's one of the best bikes I've owned Best wishes mark
Hi Mark, great review as always. Thank you. Could you please let me know what you use from a video and voice recording system as your voice comes through nice and clear. Thanks in advance. 👍😎🇦🇺
The cosmic yellow and fiesta red bikes cost another 200 pounds. as for the R being better on the road than the RS, definitely not, I road tested the R and RS back to back and the Ohlins rear shock gives the RS a plusher ride, you wouldn't notice the difference between the M34 and Stylema Brembos but the RS is a sharper handler but still planted which is why I opted for the RS which is a big step up from the previous model I owned.
Need to hear replies like this. I still have my '11 675R and would love to change but was worried the this would be like the original 765RS that I tried which was bloody awful for road riding as a supersport. If the RS is that good as a road bike I could well finally be tempted again after 11 years.
@@markpulling12 thanks Mark. Your comments in the RS review already pushed me towards that conclusion and seeing @yonniboy1 comments too have sealed an RS test ride on the basis if we put £ and 1cm height aside we'd probably all all be happier with the RS over the R for road riding. I bought my 2011 STR off Solent Destination when they were in Fareham and based on your RS review will be going back to them again. Appreciate all the effort that goes into the reviews - much appreciated.
Good work. I’d be interested to hear your opinion in comparison with the BMW S1000R 20 plate, I love my riding position ( rear set ), one of the main features I like, but how do think it compares performance and handling wise??
Hi id say the street triple is a lot more nimble...but the handling of the s1000 is awesome 👍 Performance wise the s1000 will pull away in the straights easily but in the corners I'd say equal Best wishes mark
Thanks for a great insight into the RS ! I am tempted to trade the much loved TRACER 9 GT for one of these...as i dont really do more than short commutes. Obviously it is all comfort and protection versus nimbleness and agility so I test next week and should know better. Just worried about the more forward leaning riding position. Would you say it is still a comfortable position?
Hi Patrick I sold my tracer 9 GT for exactly the same reason! The position is slightly leaning forward but still very comfortable and roomy ... highly recommend this bike next regards mark
Hi Mark, great review of the bike. How would you compare it to the new generation of xsr 900. Also, if you would choose between the two, which and why?
Hi the xsr is brilliant...retro looks and great engine but I'd take the triumph just because it's that bit more exciting for me and the handling is just that bit better Best wishes mark
I've had my yellow RS since the end of April, got just over 500 miles on it so far and love it. My only real gripe is that some text on the tft is too small and difficult to read if you wear reading glasses. I can't see why they had to have the font size so small as there's plenty of space on the display. I thought you'd of gone to Destination Dorset Mark as that seems to be your normal stomping ground. 😊
Hi Mark, thanks for the review on a stunning looking bike. I'm looking at either the Yamaha XSR 900 or the Street Triple 765R In Australia they are both priced at $18,050 ride away. Unfortunaetly budget does'nt afford the extra cost of the 765 RS ! You've been lucky enough to ride both the Yamaha Triple and now the Triumph and would be interested in your thoughts. One last question, I could not tell if the Triumph RS had cruise control fitted ? Cheers Glen
Hi glen ...no cruise on the triumph Yes the xsr is a brilliant bike but the triumph just wins for me ...the engine is just stunning exciting and flexible coupled with the handling for me it just wins over the xsr Best wishes mark
Hi Rob ...both perform great...but I'd have to take the triumph please 😄 Just that bit more exciting with it's engine and lightweight handling Cheers mark
Thank you Mark. What a gorgeous bike in every way. I enjoyed watching and listening to you on some roads I know quite well. My 2021 "R" finds it a little bumpy maybe need to soften the suspension? The bike looks and rides so similar to mine although (obviously) rather more in every aspect. I can't justify the "upgrade" yet perhaps a quick re-spray with Cosmic Yellow? lol. :>)
I love everything about the bike except the lack of wind protection. I think people love naked bikes for the ergonomics not because they want to be hammered by the wind at anything above 65 mph. and the RS is full capable of cruising at 110mph. but who would want to do it for more than a minute at a time. I think what 90% of people really want is a sport bike with Naked bike ergonomics. like sport bikes were before they decided to sell track bikes for the street. companies can still make the extreme track bikes. but why not make sport bikes with comfortable ergonomics and seats. including the passenger seat. why do we have to buy Naked bikes to get the comfortable ergonomics. or totally watered down sport bikes. why can't we have bikes like this RS with a full fairing.
Mark pulling i have 16 plate street Triple S but what 23plate Bike is Best and roughly by how much difference between Rs and R models because seriously thinking of trade-in btw keep up the great work Lad.
Hi Russell tough choice both great bikes ....but it's the765 for me ... everything is amazing... handling engine build quality reliability etc etc Just superb Best wishes mark
Mark, I wonder if Triumph have or intend to make the suspension of the Speed Triple a little less harsh, as most who've ridden one suggest that it's not too great for lighter riders, even with backing off the preload. I suppose it is easier to set up a lighter bike like the Street Triple with OE spring and damping rates that can be tweaked for heavier people. I'm only 9 stone undressed and bone hard rides are a killer for me.
I had a Street Triple R that could either be set to rock hard or wallowly, like riding on the roof of a 1960s Cadillac with blown shocks. There were clicks in between but they didn't seem to really do anything. I took it to a professional suspension tuner and after poking at it for a while, he set it to rock hard. Literally had to worry about not opening my mouth on the highway or I might have bit my tongue off. Worst bike I ever owned, by far. Oh and I was 170 lbs dressed. Not exactly heavy, I was smack in the middle of average male weight.
@@aluisious It was much the same with my SV thou but Maxton resprung an all but new {£30 off eBay} standard shock for my weight for £90. and I also got a jackup kit to help with turn in. I have to confess that I baulked at paying up to £600 for a fancy shock.
Thanks after riding this ....it's definitely the best fun /performance/braking/ handling..middleweight .bike I've ridden....plus great reliability too Cheers mark
@@markpulling12 Great reliability eh? Has Triumph figured out how to make a working regulator rectifier yet? My Street Triple R also had improperly assembled suspension and the head gasket started leaking oil at 2000 miles.
Yes duke is a bigger twin with 99 nm at a lower 6500 rpm The higher revving triple has 80 nm at 9500 rpm The duke is more about midrange...the triumph loves to rev but makes (on paper) slightly more power top end Best wishes mark
Fantastic bike spoilt a bit by a terrible TFT. I thought they would have fitted the one on the speed triple which has a proper rev counter unlike this which is the same as the old model which no one liked the clocks on either.
Subjective i know but the headers headlight and bar end mirrors ruin it for me. Also if that ohlins isnt to your weight its a waste of money oh and whats going on with rear brake line routing? Jimho your mileage may vary.
I'm probably in a minority of one here, but I think the headlight cluster is, to paraphrase our King, a monstrous carbuncle. Regardless of the model year, the Street Triples front end has always looked a bit meh to me. The rest of the bike is yummy, but only a mother could love that ugly mug.
puzzled by some comments saying its ugly! it looks absolutely gorgeous to me, but one mans meat..
definitely agree ...looks great to me ...best middle weight naked ?..i think so

Hi Russell tough choice both great bikes ....but it's the765 for me ... everything is amazing... handling engine build quality reliability etc etc
Just superb
Best wishes mark
@@markpulling12 boo… I bought the Monster yesterday!
Great review.. superb bike.. shame about the headlight assembly (again)
Yes it does stick out somewhat....the 2020 version looks better I think with it's cowl ?
Best wishes mark
You design a better one then instead of moaning about it 🤷🏾
How would you compare it to Ducati Monster?
Similar handling...but very different engines the monster is low revving and grunty ...the Rs is smooth and revvy cheers mark
That's interesting re the speed triple suspension....I'll have to look into that
Cheers Michael
Great looking bike. Best middleweight out there, all I need for the road. Nice review cheers.
Thanks after riding this ....it's definitely the best fun /performance/braking/ handling..middleweight .bike I've ridden....plus great reliability too
Cheers mark
@@markpulling12 Great reliability eh? Has Triumph figured out how to make a working regulator rectifier yet? My Street Triple R also had improperly assembled suspension and the head gasket started leaking oil at 2000 miles.
How was this vs mt09 sp?
In my country the sp is 1600 pounds cheaper
Hi id say it has better lighter handling and the engine is even more exciting than the mt,09
Highly recommend it 🙂
Best wishes mark
Great bike but i fear the RS logo on each side of the tank won't stand up to much wear from knees during long rides.
Cosmic Yellow awesome 💛
I think it's the best empty motorcycle on the market, if it had a windshield it would be great! I
Lot of fun but I just dont like the style.
Probably change my mind a bit if I rode one😉
i dont like lcd displays myself. wish manufacturers would offer traditional clock options.
Just wear a watch?
🤷♂️
Brilliant bike for the road but I like my comforts these days…think you enjoyed that🤣
In honor of La Rochelle winning the Champions Cup two years in a row 🐝😅
Duke 890 has more grunt?
Yes duke is a bigger twin with 99 nm at a lower 6500 rpm
The higher revving triple has 80 nm at 9500 rpm
The duke is more about midrange...the triumph loves to rev but makes (on paper) slightly more power top end
Best wishes mark
Looks like a great bike but the praying mantis headlights kill it for me
Fantastic bike spoilt a bit by a terrible TFT. I thought they would have fitted the one on the speed triple which has a proper rev counter unlike this which is the same as the old model which no one liked the clocks on either.
Hey mark fuel consumption of this thing?
Hi very good about 50 mpg UK or 5 l/100 km :)
@@markpulling12 is that mix city and highway? Conservative mode?
@@MrRGM10 hi yes ...if you were thrashing it ....it would be more like 45 mpg UK but still pretty good 👍
@markpulling12 that is good compare to mt09. Mt09 normal already 45
Red or Yellow Mark?
Oh tough choice the red looks great but at a push I'd take the yellow 🟡 please:)
Subjective i know but the headers headlight and bar end mirrors ruin it for me. Also if that ohlins isnt to your weight its a waste of money oh and whats going on with rear brake line routing? Jimho your mileage may vary.
Please review the Z900RS. Thank you sir
Hi I have it's on my channel
Best wishes mark
@@markpulling12 Thank you!
Have you ever been so giddy doing a review 😃
Probably not ...it has that effect:)
rides like a grandma - WOW ITS JUST SO TORQUEY!
This sure is a sexy ass machine.
Triumph, the make for riders who think Ducati reliability is boring.
How’s your 2nd engine in the multistrada V4 going? 😂
Awesome specs but bike is so ugly🙉🙈
Mark, we love you, but it is not a good idea to make a video whilst you are riding the bike. There is too much background noise.
Great review. And I must admit this is one UGLY motorbike.
Thanks I'd say it looks mean 😄
Best wishes mark
It likely grows on you.. like my MT09 has. Do you find that ugly too?
Everything about it sounds great, then I look at it. It's ugly.
(your opinion may vary , but my opinion decides for me)
Haha no probs . Everyone to their own ...I think it looks mean 😅
Cheers mark
There's far more ugly bikes,MT09, Duke 890......
@@trevorphillips3055 Doesny make it any better looking tho :) It sounds like a cracking bike.
I think it looks great. Easily [especially in yellow] the best looking middleweight.
@Hutchie Each to their own, I happen to like it and have one in cosmic yellow 😊
