iDrive Throttle Controller for Mitsubishi Mirage

- The little three-cylinder Mitsubishi isn't known for its stellar performance. The vehicle is built to be frugal and efficient. The throttle tuning is also engineered to deliver fuel economy, and not spirited driving. In fact, the car's throttle response is pretty poor. We got an EVS throttle controller from Drive USA to see if we could make the Mirage's throttle more responsive and if it'd help the overall performance of Mitsubishi's subcompact hatchback.

Very interesting. I’m trading in my 2019 on a 2022 & I was concerned that it might only be a CVT option but clearly, you’re shifting. I may have to try it out.

Yes.
Never in my life, I have been concerned for one second about throttle response. The only thing i care about is that it is linear, I think.

regarding safety issues, My question is what if the throttle controller's device suddenly fails? or the little wire cut? Do we still have the control of gas pedal? or it will be back to normal mode? Thank you for hoping you can enlighten us. thank you again!
Archel -- that sounds like a question for the manufacturer. I don't know the answer to that.

Planning to get a throttle pedal mod like this as well for my mirage. Though im thinking of getting sprint booster. You have any experience on that product?

@@crankshaftculture I just bought the idrive. Itll be my first buying a throttle mod for my car. Hopefully it do some justice pulling on the highway lol!
Just got it yesterday, installed it and wow what a difference! At U9 I'm squealing the front tires now lol. Pulls nicely now at highways. Thanks for the review man! 😎👍

I believe they do offer a Lancer application.

the stock throttle settings reach 12 to 14 seconds to reach 100km/h
No idea. But it certainly; it likely helped a little bit but I have no testing to prove it.

I didn't really play with the fuel economy aspect as I bought it for the performance aspect.

One full gallon of my mirage drive 300 hundred kilo
@@nasernaser5665 We didn't use it for fuel savings. We used it for better throttle response.
So it's can't saving the fuel ? What is the best saver fuels Chip ?
@@nasernaser5665 Yes, it can recalibrate the throttle for better economy. However, it also allows for better performance which is why we got it. We simply didn't use that aspect of the product.
