When you'll have 10% off code on either Tacoma or 4runner?😁
I'm on team can't afford either one of them. I'll stick with my 5th gen 4Runner and 1st gen Highlander.
Nothing wrong with the old reliable
Dont worry most americans cant lol
I’m on the same team.
Team “ain’t no way I’m prying near $70g for a 4Runner”. Toyota has a luxury brand (Lexus). They need to keep the price that way. The average person can’t afford a Toyota truck anymore, and that’s a sad day.
If you can afford it, why not buy the Lexus for same price. I like both, but I just don't get the pricing. They stuck all of these + GX + LC in same price point.
@@nomoarrgames8954 with these prices, why even have the Lexus brand
@@TheRoamChannel Because a lot of Lexus models are far more expensive than this. My brother just bought a 2024 LS the sticker was $116,000
@@jonathanratliff4780wild lol
Hands down 4 Runner built in Japan.
Team GX 550😅
For real, if 4Runner trd pro is also $65k the answer is GX Overtrail. It seems like Toyota is pricing the 4Runner and LC lineup to lead the buyer to conclude, “F it, GX it is”.
I can’t imagine it being cheaper than the taco unless those seats are $$$. Think out of these and the Land Cruiser I’d jump to the gx
@@Adam-hq7ob yeah, GX overtrail is $69k. Any LC or 4Runner much north of $60k, seems hard not to justify the Lexus.
Ordinarily, I prefer the look of Toyota SUVs over Lexus. But of this lot, GX550 is the best looking. No hybrid / no battery hump. Only negative is premium gasoline.
Premium gasoline? I feed both my gx470 w premium and not complaining. I am happy to privide best engines with the best fuel
Why would you spend 2 more for a single truck than i spent for 2 mine and you be crying about premium gasoline?
@@dmitryadamenko6518 what are you even talking about
5th gen 4 runner.
I spat out my water with that Hulk Hogan cameo 😂😂😂
HAHAHAHAHA
I’m 5th gen team 4runner for now. Not ignoring one of the biggest price increases going from one year to the next. As much as a dig Toyota I’m not a blind fanboy. On a minor note I doubt any Toyota customer asked for we want gloss black on the pro models.
It’s crazy how much Toyota raised these prices. Look at the tacomas sitting on dealerships lots. They’re not selling well.
I will hold on to my 5th Gen 4runner
Nothing wrong with that!
4Runner trd pro looks much better tbh.
When it comes to Tacoma, Trailhunter takes the cake.
Team 4Runner. Previous 4Runner owner. Never owned or will own a TACO as it’s too small.
Team 5th gen 4runner with my legendary bulletproof drivetrain
None of them, they all are expensive out of proportion
4Runner of course!
I’m team 4Runner, but you had me with the Hulk Hogan commercial!!!! 🤣🤣 -Chris⛰️🚙
hahahahah hell ya brother
One is $70k and one is $100,000. Prices are really coming together
huh???
For the price of these, the GX550 makes more sense.
Team 4 runner all day everyday 💯
Both look great! Thanks for the review! My 99' 4runner has a very similar double mustache😂 an looks awesome! haha
Same with the 2nd Gen I had too! Haha
Best ad placement ever!
Thanks brother!
Tacoma! But at 65k i can only dream, looks like my 07 trd will hafta do, great review
I'm really debating between the two. I already have a 2020 Tundra, and I once had a 2012 4Runner. I want both.
Wow no one really showed these differences in such small video. 🙌👏
Out of the two I an team 4Runner. But please compare the 4Runner TRD Pro vs the GX550 Overtrail. Thank you for the amazing videos.
It was cool to meet you man. Hope you had fun at the Lone Star Jamboree
I did! Thank you so much for your support!!!!!
Team Taco with 4Runner headlight and seat swap. That would be the perfect mid size truck right there.
Between these 2 I am leaning 4Runner. I want a comfy-ish offroady-ish daily that I can every now and then tow my 4k lbs track car to track days with, which is why i may end up going gx550 overtrail in the end.
Loved my third gen taco, but I’m gonna go for a 4Runner in 26.
I like them both. Can’t afford either PRO version though.
I'm for 4runner. Need a suv for family. When I get trucks I usually get a base 4x4 as they are more tool. However if the 4 runner exceeds 70k plus I would go lexus gx550 as I like they have 4A option
Hey Jon my 4runner stock came with 265/70r17 technically close to 31s. I went to 285/70r17 to get closer to the 33s? Just making sure cause seen over many videos where creators are saying they're bigger tires when really they're still same in size from the 5th gen
These are 18" wheels my friend
4Runner and GX for sure. I really think the isodynamic seats are a huge miss for me. Most people I think will get the trailhunter or off-road trim instead of Tacoma TRD Pro
4runner, but prices are crazy, especially with mark up
Can’t have cheap cars and well
Paying union jobs
@@thomas735 Toyota doesn't have union workers building their vehicles. That might change going forward, however.
@@24bics well they do in Japan not sure about Mexico. The point I’m making though is that it’s impossible to pay people more money and maintain affordability.
4Runner by a mile but in a slightly lower grade. Interior is perfect but lose the gloss black and don’t require the more serious off-road details. The double arch front end was the second thing I noticed after the retracting rear window. They do need to make the rear side windows so they can pivot outwards from the top if it doesn’t make too much wind noise..
2:10 AM and was not expecting that Hulk Hogan/TRD Jon jumpscare advertisement 😂
🤣🤣🤣
I'd have to pick the 4Runner. I like the fact it has an actual usable 2nd row, it has rear AC vents, and I also like those big looking cup holders built into the door.
I would say 4 runner for now until I actually see it in person. I saw the taco in person and I was like dam that's a small truck. Hulk Hogan would probably say his 24 inch pythons would not fit in that truck lol. I'm coming from a 2012 Tundra and use to have a a 05 tacoma. I can't drop down to a small truck with my family.
I like the fact that Toyota is still making the 4Runner and GX in Japan.
As a 2nd gen Taco owner for 16 years, I would go with 4runner next time. Love extra bed space but can't stand the tight back seat on Tacoma. Doesn't matter what I think since I can't afford either one. Lol.
I just bought a ‘24 TRD-Offroad so I’m biased to the Taco. I think the 4Runner would definitely be the choice if you had a family.
Ya thinking a 4Runner is my next ski truck. Son’s Tacoma has been great and it looks like Toyota has addressed all the weaknesses. Issue is what colour 🤔 I like the forest green trail hunter or maybe a cement grey trd pro
I like both.
@trdjon when you say mud bath is coming to TRD models- does that mean the sport and off road as well?
TRD Pro models. Should be all trd models the following year. That is how Toyota has done it in the past.
The double stash is hilarious
Best sponsor bit I’ve ever seen. 😂 have your like.
hahahahha
waiting to see the 4runner off road version.
Lol that is so cool Jon 😅 the hulk Hogan thing👍
lol, trying to make ads fun a quick
Team neither
The Toyota guys at Jambo said the 4Runner interior is not necessarily finished being tweaked yet. The outside is set though. Now trying to figure out if the trade in from the 5th gen is worth it....
Which one to pick? after the price release im now thinking ranger raptor
Dope performance for sure with that one
Do you know if the hybrid will be out first or the gas 4 runners? any way to confirm this many reviewers go back and forth on this.
The gas first then hybrid should be about a month or so later from what I've seen from dealers.
I’d go for the 4Runner
I really want to get that Tacoma, but I can't if they don't add memory seats and rear vents to it. Bonus points, would love to have power folding mirrors, a rear seat arm rest, and a power adjustable steering wheel.
Team 4Runner... mostly because we are a family of 4 and the backseat is bigger. I sat in the "old" 4Runner and a new Taco back to back, and I was surprisingly impressed by the 4Runner. I also prefer the smaller footprint of the 4Runner in the city environment that I live in.
Never understood why someone who lives in a city needs an off-road vehicle just to go to Whole Foods . 😂
@@Josh350 I work in a city. The Pennsylvania countryside is 15 minutes down the highway.
Have to wait on the price for this but so far the GX550 is the winner in my book. I little more money (maybe) but much nicer and a V6.
Can you put a bigger tire on the trd pro rim with no rub?
I'm sure you can
4 runner. Rear window for the dogs
The HH bit was scary 😱
🌮 🌮🌮
4Runner all the way, but don’t like the looks of the front end at all. Not feeling the double Hogan 😂
Off topic but do you think Toyota needs to refocus on the larger suv segment come 2025 like the sequoia isn’t worth it compared to an expedition or Tahoe considering you can fit 6ft adults comfortably in the third row and the floor folds fully flat.
Toyota honestly hasn't really cared about their full sizes to compare to the other brands
Toyotas should naturally use Toyo tires 😊. One thing i dont like on the Taco front end is the big fake vents below the headlights
Have to see how 4 runners drives on road. Don’t feel like being tossed around. Personally get more use outta 4 runner See also about GX 550. Dunno
If I have either of those I’d be Team Broke!
hopefully we can swap the bumpers I really like the tacoma front bumper but I like the 4runner being an Suv truck.
When do you think the 4Runner Hybrid Off-Road Premium is available? 🌴
Noov-Dec I would say
Team 4Runner.. need that backseat room for a car seat!
Runnermania is runnin' wild brother!
Hahahahah hell ya brother!
Team 4runner here .
So Jon what you think for the same price taco or zr2 bison ! Has more features and I think looks better
I'd personally go with the TRD Pro. I'd keep it out west too since that is where it is meant to be. In the desert, high speed
Too bad they made it look like a double mustache on the 4 Runner. Must of had the Tundra designer on this grille.
Looks like they both share the same headlights just different looks, so I guess if you liked the headlights on the 4Runner you can put them on the Tacoma 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
I feel the 4R is a little bigger.
Hulk hogan ad killed me
4Runner!
Did the 4runner have heads up display
I failed to notice one actually...
4runner !
Can’t imagine people spending 65k for a mid size Tacoma. They really reached with the pricing imo.
Does it have the same size fuel tank as the Tacoma?
No specs on that yet
Land Cruiser
Wiggle the center console lids and then vote. #TeamQuatro
When do you think the hybrid will be available?
For the Taco? Should be nixt month
@@TRDJon
Thanks!
Crazy how much Toyota raised the prices on these vehicles. Is it worth that? Not in my opinion, but it’s all in the eye of the beholder.
4Runner
Jon, which one is bigger in size?
Both are 33s
Hi Jon, I meant the bodysize lol 😆
oh should be close to the same. 4R is bigger inside since it is an suv
team 4runner for me! I don't want people asking me to help them move because I own a truck!
LOL!
I am team 4Runner and have never considered Tacoma at all. These two teams don't mix each other, do they?
People do seem to cross shop them alot
4Runner doesn't have the iso seats and it's still being made in the same factory so hopefully it won't experience such a price jump. Either way it'll probably be over 1000 bucks a month for a TRD Off Road. I'll stick to the cars I have currently and safe to say the way the market is looking right now with APR's nearing 10, I won't be buying a new car for a very, very long time.
Tacoma is made in Mexico and has a 8-15K price jump 🤷♂️
that red interior yuck!
Is there any reason to not get a Lexus at this point?
Not really, just preference at that point.
What's the payload on that 4Runner?
No official numbers yet
Not gonna lie...... I'd rather spend a little more and get the LC Prado, cough cough, LC 250.....
4Runner all day. I’m a truck guy but that Tacoma isn’t worth $65k especially since it’s built in Mexico. The fact that the 4Runner is manufactured in Japan is the main selling point. The build quality is significantly more noticeable between gaps in body panels and the paint quality.
I can’t wait for the 4 Runner to have a $70k price tag (+$10k in markups) so I can buy a used 4 Runner in the next few months.
Its insane dealers still ask for an MA when rates are like 8%
@@TRDJon the fact is, that these OEM’s and dealers don’t care about the consumer. The nature of corporations is to maximize profit. This won’t stop until we refuse to pay/comply with this ridiculous pricing. I don’t think we’ll see a shift for a couple of years. Combine that with the economic lag, and we have a long road ahead. It’s up to the buyer to dictate the market at this point.
@@TRDJon Yup. Untamed Motors interviewed a GM a couple of days ago and really opened his eyes to this problem. His dealership is no longer adding MA.
Steering rack on my 2019 TRDOR with 31k miles just went out. Really questioning Toyota quality these days.
The new 4runner should just be called the Hogan runner or Hoganner. Lol
lol
4runner for sure. Can’t get over the seating in the new Tacoma.
Team GX overtrail if I can find the money
Would like to see the Tacoma TRD PRO go against the new Ford Ranger Raptor, especially since the Raptor under cuts the Taco by $7,000. Yeah I’m saying it, the Tacos are overpriced by about that much ….imo
They are up there for sure man.
Tacoma pro octane black lifted wide Dino wheels arb front and rear bumpers skid plates and bars 1:01
Well 4Runner but the sequoia on 37s in that mud color will be badass
Bro that would be sooooooo sick
4runner is made better than the Tocoma
