4:00 - I was deployed to that Air Base in the country TH-cam won't let us type. Not the same exact time as her mind you but close enough, it's just outside the city of Agadez, AB201. She lied about its size, it is absolutely not "one of the biggest Air Force bases ever built," and I would be shocked if it cost as much as she claimed because, even today, it is still majority tents there. She also has a huge lack of real understanding as to our policy in the country and the military relationship with it. The junta never wanted to kick U.S. troops out, they very explicitly only wanted the French out (as the country used to be a French colony). The media even outright lied about it saying the junta said the U.S. Ambassador had 48 hrs to leave when that never happened, they only threatened the French.
1) I can't verify that you was deployed there 2) are you sure she knew the truth and lied ? (And not like - she really have not seen that base, and just repeating rumors from locals here)
@@vasyle2236 It's been like 5 days or something but you're right, I should've said exaggerated because I can't know if she is truly lying or not. Your comment makes sense based on this vid (which is fair, lol - who’d expect you to know stuff from other vids 😂), however she later explained that they asked for help from the US Military from the beginning. However, because the US initially refused to call this event a “coup” the military couldn’t do anything and would not help them at all
