This looks like a fun quilt, not too hard to do and so pretty. The fabric choices are endless. Jenny, you are keeping us seniors busy with your patterns, but what a great way to spend our spare time!
When I saw today’s (22 Aug 2024) daily deal it reminded me that I have this layer cake (Greenery) in my stash. So glad Maywood came out with a similar line, now I can get a backing and it will coordinate perfectly.
I just finished the courtship quilt. This will be my next quilt. The HSTs are easy to work with. Looks much harder than it actually is.The fabric line is nice too. I love to watch Jenny’s videos.I liked that she actually added you need 42 10 “ blocks white and prints, later she stated you don’t acutally use all of the blocks. So pay attention. Look and count. If you don’t need to use or cut up a few lighter prints. You can keep them for a later project.
I know it's been quite some time since this video was posted. I wanted to let you know that I am currently working on this quilt. It's the largest quilt I've made and only the fifth quilt. I'm enjoying the process and the instructions are pretty easy to follow. Thanks for all you do!
Thank you! I have some layer cakes I bought with my grandson in mind. Now I have the pattern to make him a throw! You are the best at making things easy for this newbie. 💖
I love showing and telling others about your tutorials I am Ken’s wife,Pam. Jenny ,you are my therapist of quiet time. I can’ t hardly wait until your next one on Friday. I love you and your daughter doing the cuddle blanket together. You both are blessed
Jenny, I’m learning to quilt and my friend recommended your site. I’m using scraps to learn and work with. Your directions and enthusiasm is very helpful. I have watched other sites and have been amazed how many ways there are to make a half square triangle. 😉 Thank you.
Aha! I have some beautiful yellows and blues that I wanted to use! This will be perfect. I like easy but cute! Thank you so much! I can't get enough of these wonderful videos!
I was just going thru all my fabric and all your tutorials writing down what quilt i will make with what fabric ! That was 2 days and i didn't finish . I love this tutorial, wish my brain worked like yours . But at least I have you to follow. keep them coming we all love how you make quilting easy to follow . Thanks from California big hug from us to you all
Jenny I love your videos, I thought I had watched them all, but don't know how I missed this one. I absolutely love this design block, it is gorgeous, I just love it, can't wait to make this one, I haven't sewed in a few years, but after seeing this one, looks like I'll be back in my sewing room very soon. I don't usually comment on much, but I just had to on this one, but of coarse I love all your videos.
This is such a beautiful quilt design! I have to try it! Thank you for your inspirational videos that gently push me into a new creation as much as time allows!
I love this pattern. As a teacher, I love seeing your mind at work with these designs. The pattern is added to my favorites to do list. (I’m doing the strip butterfly quilt next week.)
Jenny, How handy it would be to have a Book of Quilt Tips that you have told us! We would have it on hand in our sewing room to check for help when we run into a snag!
Yay, what fun! I'm eager to try this one with my scrap 5" squares first to see how well I can match up those seams.....still a newbie here. My "accidental angel" appears in this design, too. Maybe I'll applique some circles on those and give them heads!
I have downloaded to my gmail....gonna get fabric in a couple of weeks...starting of my quilts for the grandkids! thank you for the very clear&easy instructions -
I loved this! I have a nice layer cake to try this with! I am not sure how to square up the half square miles triangles though, not done this yet. Also, love this way of making half square triangles rather than sewing on either side of a centre line.
Suzi SaintJames Wow Suzi, 24c/17c here in Auckland New Zealand. But we have high humidity and my father always said go and live in Arizona, dry climate and great for your sinusitis hahaha!!! 😁😎
It's wonderful to watch your tutorials because you usually show us each step. I was disappointed you didn't show us how to cut down our half square triangles to 6 1\2. For us newbies, we don't know how to do everything. It would be nice for you to actually show us.
Here is a tutorial I found on TH-cam. There are other videos explaining the same process. I hope one of them will explain it well enough so you won't have any problem squaring your half-square triangles to 6 1/2." The steps are the same no matter what size you need. th-cam.com/video/R4LQccUPRlM/w-d-xo.html
Please do a tutorial for the colorful quilt at the end of your videos with 16 small squares in a large block laying on a white and gray background turned on the diamond. I love this quilt and would love to see it made. I want to make this one! Beautiful! All your tutorials are great and so informative.
Could you make a tutorial for a double wedding ring quilt? My sister recently got engaged and I'd love to surprise her with a quilt as a wedding gift! Thanks for all you guys do!
Really the only easy way to make a DWR quilt is to use the fusible, otherwise your looking at maybe 1000 pieces depending on the size of your quilt. Good luck!
That one is a tough one to make, which is why I think they haven’t done it up until now. I think Angela Walters might have done some version of it on her midnight show...? But don’t take my word for it.
What would we have done if your husband had picked a different town to live in and no one got you that machine...or if your grandma said 'bugger it, I'm over sewing flowers now!'...or more to the point - what if you weren't quilty minded...🤔 I do believe we would more the poorer. Thank you for teaching me the 'sew, turn and cut' method of the 4 patch square. I hope one day I will walk into your store and say hello. I love your ideas, thank you.
You could also do this with a charm square in the middle surrounded by half square triangles and a square that is the same size as the half square triangles. A lot less cutting that way.
Oh no, sorry I'm running late! I really love the green, black, and white color combo and there are endless color combos that will work for this but I'll stick to this one for now. Think I'll put a green backing on it. Do you have green gingham (say that 5 times fast!) available?
That would be super fun for the backing! Here's a link to the green gingham and check fabrics we have. :) www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/browse/6096?&Color=Green%2BFabric

Dear Jenny, you are the Half Square Triangle Wizard! Eight HST would take so much precision cutting... You always make them easy! Love you 💕
I've made three of these this year for our sons and daughters-in-law for Christmas. They all turned out so pretty.

As always another winner. If only I had the time to make every quilt!
The quilt is so pretty, especially in those colors. Jenny your a quilting marvel. Love it.
Awesome! I've just been asked to make a quilt for a gentleman's 90th birthday. Love this pattern and fabric for that very special project!
We hope you'll share a photo of your quilt with us when it's complete! What a wonderful gift that will be!
I love this pattern. As a teacher, I love seeing your mind at work with these designs. The pattern is added to my favorites to do list. (I’m doing the strip butterfly quilt next week.)
Love it and I have a layer cake I've been wanting to use. This will be perfect! Thanks, Jenny for another great idea...

How big is the fish block. I love it thank you I’m Switzerland 🇨🇭

Perfection! Thank you Jenny!
This is really cute quilt!

What a brilliant idea!!!
Could you make a tutorial for a double wedding ring quilt? My sister recently got engaged and I'd love to surprise her with a quilt as a wedding gift! Thanks for all you guys do!
Hi Celeste! If we can come up with a quick and easy way to make one we'll be sure to share it. Hopefully one day!
please do! My step son is getting married this year. I'd love to make a wedding ring quilt for him and his new bride.
Really the only easy way to make a DWR quilt is to use the fusible, otherwise your looking at maybe 1000 pieces depending on the size of your quilt. Good luck!
It would be nice for Jenny to make a long video sometime! Maybe break it up into a block every 2 weeks or something. I would do it! It would be fun!
That one is a tough one to make, which is why I think they haven’t done it up until now. I think Angela Walters might have done some version of it on her midnight show...? But don’t take my word for it.
This is GENIUS!
This is so beautiful. Wonder if I could use my collection of batiks to make this quilt?
Oh my gosh, Lily of the valley was my Grandmothers favorite too, her whole bed was covered in them along with rose bushes.
As usual great tutorial
U r just great with

You are such a good designer hope to see you in nepal
You could also do this with a charm square in the middle surrounded by half square triangles and a square that is the same size as the half square triangles. A lot less cutting that way.
Your nails are so perfect
You. Are. Amazing!
Awesome - love this!!
I love this so much!! I wonder what size it would work out to if you didn't cut down the squares??
Sandra Wagner do you mean if you didn't square up the original half square triangle?
loved this block
