Love this pattern so much. I made a small table runner for my granddaughter for her birthday, just from the tutorial. Will be ordering the pattern even though I will not make the quilt as it would be too difficult at my age of 79 with a really bad back. I do love Natalie’s designs, she is very talented.

The black and white is striking. It would also be great in black and white or blacks whites and grays with one square in a highly contrasted color like lime green or cheddar orange or even a single rainbow color square against the blacks and whites.

You ladies always impress me! This is a striking quilt! I enjoyed this tutorial a lot! I was even thinking you could do a 4x4 block or a 4 x 5, but on the latter, there wouldn’t be a middle design!
When Jenny was sewing and she f,upped the piece to out the larger part in the bottom, it made me remember a mantra from way, way, way back - Baggy Bottom!!! That’s how I remember!!!

Or instead of a table runner sew them 2x2 for a nice square small table topper or I’m thinking - something to hang on the inside of my front door😁😁. Pillows would also be fabulous - 2 per pillow!

I love black and d white fabrics together and for some reason I’ve become addicted to HST😁😁😁. This is a really big quilt for me but I think I “need” to do this one! the Jelly Roll is in my basket, and I’m going back to get the black fabric Natalie used! And maybe some white yardage Eden though I have the Layer Cake with a few 10” squares missing😁😁😁. And when Jenny mentioned adding a bright color - my brain said yes! Hot Pink, Neon Green, Bright Turquoise, Bright Yellow, etc. etc.

A funky, cool, sophisticated quilt.

Looks a tad rigid on the wall; fantastic on the bed.
I struggle to photograph my own quilts. Medallion quilts work well hung up, so that's easy.
Others seem shy to pose to advantage.
Then they go to a new home and the chance to improve the record is lost😢
I love the way quilts change their character and mood at different times of the day depending on the light.
When you use 108 backing do you wash the backing fabric first? I never have but I heard recently that you should wash it because it shrinks differently than regular 44-45 wide fabric. Is this true?

Jenny, it is the Anvil block, if you do same background in the whole block. And I agree that a vibrant pop of color would be amazing.
I want to try to make this with the inspirational word fabric mixed in. Wish me luck! (Always changing the pattern 🤷♀️)

Y’all are so sweet…nothing better than Mother-Daughter! How do you think this would look like with 8 squares across and eight squares down?
For an even scrapper version, you could cut the jelly roll strips in half so the strips can be mixed together with more variety. You would get 8 units per half strip-set.
Love this quilt. I want to make one. I think that with a few borders instead of a table runner, it would be fun to make pillow shams to match. Love your videos!

A cool variation would be if you run an accent color through the center of the 16-patch blocks. Red or pink would be great.

I love that foot on the machine. They do not have one for my machine. I have a Babylock. It killed me that you opened the jellyroll and didn’t use it. I wish I could have sewed with my mom.
