“Two Mules for Sister Sarah” is my favorite 70’s western. Unforgiving is a masterpiece and Gran Torino is fantastic.

Met Clint Eastwood 20 years ago by happenstance. He was nice in the brief conversation we had.
He is my idol and I am very envious of anyone blessed to have met him. Best I managed was when I attended the tribute to him a few years ago at the SBFF and he came through the crowd near me to get in and I saw his hand and I reached out and grabbed it briefly, he turned and I quickly let go. Had he punched me, I would have very gladly taken it!!

But I met him in a shop in Carmel. I was 13 at the time, but I knew who he was.

I first saw Clint Eastwood in an episode on the TV show Highway Patrol in the late 1950's. He played a member of a motorcycle club.

Chills, every time. The raw power in that statement, the pure confidence of "if you try this, I'm going to kill you." What a movie Josey Wales is; I think everyone should see it at some point. If you're gonna watch one western in your life, make it either that one or Tombstone.
I said that to a friend of mine who worked for Blackwater. He just laughed at me. He survived 13 assassination attempts working in Afghanistan and died of a heart attack somewhere else.
I think one of the coolest things they did was I guess it was High Plains Drifter Maybe? Raise in the bathtub out of the water and shoots the guy. Been so many years I can't remember

...it was prolly the last Clint movie my dad saw before he died...if a movie didn't have action (i.e. someone shot or kilt every 5 minutes it was a ;'stiff' according to dad) Josey Wales DEFINITELY was NOT a 'stiff'...some of the best lines of ANY movie...

I saw Clint when he came over to the UK to promote "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" back in the 60's on one of our top talk shows at the time, The Simon Dee Show, I was sat in the audience at the BBC watching him. I was 10 years old, but I remember it was just fantastic to see him, love all of his films, I forget how many times I've watched Dirty Harry. Great tribute.

Clint Eastwood carried a Smith & Wesson model 66 (.357 magnum) in The Gauntlet.
I just moved from Paso Robles where Rawhide was shot. He still came to town in the '80s and the '90s. I worked at a GMC dealership and we worked on a car he was driving. I also lived in Santa Paula where Steve Mcqueen lived his final days. Clint from what a caterpillar salesman told us was there. He came back with a funny story. And you don't have to hang out in Hollywood. My son was working for a real estate broker. he asked my son if he wanted to eat with a client well the client was Clint.

You’ve made my day Hickok 45! My sister and brother in law lived in Jackson Hole when Clint was filming Every Which Way But Loose. My Brother in law had a bit part in the movie. Clint would eat lunch and take breaks with all the staff and my Brother in law said that Clint was like one of your family. So easy going and friendly and treated everyone with dignity and respect. Grew up watching his westerns and have seen ALL his movies multiple times, just watched Gran Torino 2 days ago. Since I was a kid I wanted a model 29, finally got one 29-2 never been fired at age 48. Big fan of Clint.
Yeah, that "a man's got to know his limitations" line is probably my favorite. Definitely leaned on that one heavily over the years!
