This movie to this day is still of the best Batman movies I've ever seen because it truly knows how to balance comedy and playful mocking of the franchise while still honouring and celebrating everything that makes Batman the icon he is today, while still maintaining a great story about learning to accept change and learning to open yourself to the love and support of people that care about you, I even teared up the moment Batman called Robin his son, that broke me. Will Arrnet may honestly be the most underrated Batman to date, I don't care what anyone says, he's just so perfect in this movie. It truly is one of the best Lego movies and one of the best animated movies, at least its for sure one of the funniest.
While it is a parody I also really think it's one of the best explorations of the character we've seen outside the comics. Especially Bruce's tendency to push others away.

This movie has my favorite version of the Batman and Batgirl dynamic. One, Barbara is an adult so she could rightfully date Bruce. And two, Dick isn’t old enough to date yet. So yeah (edit it’s Batman into Barbara like a high school crush instead of the other way around)
As someone who loved the LEGO Movies (Even the LEGO Ninjago Movie and the LEGO Movie 2.), it’s pretty surprising that the LEGO Batman Movie is now being remembered as one of the best animated movies of all time, and is even more remembered than the original LEGO Movie. I used to think the movie wasn’t as good as the the first LEGO Movie, or even the other LEGO Movie Spin-Off and the second LEGO Movie, but after watching it in years, it’s fair to say that I better than I originally thought.

Yes, this IS a pretty good movie. The references reach Tarantino-level proportions, from Bruce Wayne having Christian Bale's famous cheekbones to Batman's "mayor" disguise being an uncanny ringer for Kim Basinger's blue suit she wore as Vicki Vale. Not to mention King Tut - one of my favorite '60s series-exclusive villains! (We could have done without Camille Orton, AKA "The Mime," though.) My one quibble with LEGO BATMAN is that it has its characters parody themselves a little TOO much, only for the story to become (however briefly) downright sad and cynical about three-quarters of the way through. For me, that neatly sums up a major problem I've had with Batman in the non-comics media: either his world is so stern and grim that it becomes boring, or it is depicted as so ridiculous that you're embarrassed to admit you enjoy it. Very few things in today's popular culture - or in the society at large, for that matter - are well-balanced, and even Batman can't escape that flaw. So far, only Tim Burton's 1989 film and some of the better episodes of the '90s animated series have succeeded in balancing both the yin and the yang of Batman. (SUICIDE SQUAD succeeded too, I suppose, but that was only because it de-emphasized Batman himself and gave the Joker and Harley the focus they deserved.)
This is my personal favorite batman movie. It might not be the best and it doesn't take itself very seriously but it nails what it was going for and there's so much to love

I remember seeing recommendations years ago about the Lego Batman is the definitive Batman, the true Batman, and the closest accurate Batman to the comics. Never bothered clicking on them at the time and this was before I found Vee's videos. And Vee is one of my top Batman related conent creator to actually check out even when im not in a Batman mood and waited for awhile to hear what he has to say on this movie.

This is my favorite out of the theatrical lego movies because it makes fun of every batman adaptation especially the Snyderverse which makes happy. It sucks that the theatrical lego movies went down hill after this both the Lego Ninjago movie and Lego Movie 2 left me disappointed lets hop that Universal can bring new life back to the lego franchise.

I think that the movie being a lego movie is what really saves the movie from being obscure and makes it a must watch. If you think about the other times Batman has been parodied in a movie we have everyone's favourite film, Batman and Robin. It didn't work because it was a life action big blockbuster movie that was a sequel to a previous blockbuster Batman film. There is also Batman and Harley Quinn which was taken from the Batman Tas and made into a parody, but that doesn't work either. To fans that movie is like a bad joke altogether and to casual viewers it doesn't really feel like a parody, more like a 'What if Adult Swim made Batman tas' they got the sex and violence, but they forgot to make it funny. Lego Batman has so much advantage to parody Batman and they take it to the next level with all those Easter eggs and clearly so many people who knew what they were making. So you wanna review Batman vs Teenage mutant ninja turtles?... Well let me tell ya I have always liked... COWABUNGAAAAA!
