Robin in Batman Videogame is most likely a Jason Todd cause Nightwing is there like a playable character.
Then in Batman 2 that is Tim Drake, and befire you say that there is Grayson like a playable character....yes he is....but that doesnt mean he is the Robin in Batman 2..
.in dlc his costume as Nightwing shows up....that means....TT games want us to buy dlc, because they now....that we dont want only Grayson but we want his Nigjtwing costume too.
Batman 3 Robin is Tim Drake like in Batman 2, and in it....there is playable ch. of Red Hood and Red Nightwing. Robin from Batman 2 and 3 are the same so they are Tim Drake, they look same.
Lego DC supervill. is in future like 5 years after Batman 3 and Tim Drake is there in a Robin costume and his name is now Red Robin.....there is also Nightwing and Red Hood.....with it there is also small Robin and that is Damian Wayne....the true son of Batman.
I hope this commwnt will hwlp

It could have been the Lego Arkham (nowhere nearly as good, but as good as you could get in Lego form), but I feel like after a certain point they put too much effort into adding other DC characters while trying to be a Batman game, and I'm not happy with the result, as good as the gameplay is

Somethig to note, in 2011 DC did a hard reset with their comics following Flashpoint, this era was known as the New 52. The first Lego Batman came out in 2008, the second came out in 2012. Meaning that in the comic books, they came out during different eras in company history. I know the consensus is that LB2 is a sequel but it's also a possibility as to why the games are quite different when it comes to names, designs, etc.

Personally I just like to think in the Lego version, many heroes like Batman just so happen to occasionally change their looks from time to time, conveniently having the same look as the comics version or other series. For Batman it's easy, they're either just another of his many standard suits, or they have a specific function.

    • @EternalEdgeLord
      @EternalEdgeLord 2 ปีที่แล้ว +36

@@EternalEdgeLord Oh I love Tranformers. But yah, let's face it if you had a bunch of cool costumes like Iron Man suits or Batsuits and there was a set o them that was really only a look difference, you'd probably stand there awhile thinking "Dang, which should I wear. Though for specialized suits it does make more sense for Iron Man as he could easily like the films call in the suit he needs and only take a few minutes I think at most. Maybe even say that without Tony in them the suits can safely fly at much higher speeds t get to him. But Batman since the suits are mostly just clothing and not automated suits, he'd have to think ahead which specialized suit to wear, unless he'd have suit changer devices hidden around the city like in the videogames, just select the needed suit, step in, an it materializes around him.

An interesting thing about the whole “Dick Grayson/Tim Drake situation” is that in the movie version of the game, only Bruce appears without his suit and Robin stays in his the entire time (almost as though the developers just wanted to ignore and forget about their previous mistake). Also, in the DS port of Lego Batman 2, Dick Grayson as a playable character has been replaced with Tim Drake, implying even more that his naming in the normal version of the game was a mistake.

I say Lego Dimensions could have been the result of the merged city in DC Villains. I remember one of the npcs talking about both cities being rebuilt after some big event. Which could be the result of Vortex merging and scrambling the dimensions since first wave characters homes are in shambles.

1:03 It's kind of the same in the Arkham Games and Young Justice.
In YJ we have Grayson and Nightwing both as Robin in different seasons, but Jason only had a cameo as Robin. (As far as I remember.)
In Arkham, even if Grayson hadn't a part in the story as Robin, he had his own Robin suit and was playable in Arkham Origins multiplayer.
We didn't have anything about Jason until Arkham Knight, and he was already the Arkham Knight.
Maybe it's not that big of a deal, but it feels as if they forget about him or don't want to put him on the main stories until he is back from the dead.

I don't know if this makes sense or not (since i haven't watched the films), but I don't think Dimensions can be before LB3 because of Batman's reaction to Brainiac. In LB3, when he uses the telescope to see Brainiacs ship, Batman doesn't recognise what it is and contacts the watchtower. In Dimensions, when Braniac appears in the lord of the rings level, he says "Brainac too?" Implying he does know who Braniac is, but he didn't in LB3. The fact that Braniac appears isn't the contradiction, it's Batman's knowledge of who Braniac is.

Obviously because Lego Dimensions (On the Lego Batman side) canonically take place after Lego Batman 3. And we know Lego Batman 3 is after the first two games due to it being a continunation of 2. How Robin is labled as Dick Grayson in 2 even though he's Tim Drake, is probably just TT Games mistook Grayson for Tim.

To try to make sense of what happened with Robin's identity, I'm pretty sure it's all been Tim Drake, and Lego Batman 2 was just an error by the devs. It had been officially Tim Drake in Lego Batman 2 in the marketing and development of the game, just like Tim being in LB1 and 3, but later down the line someone had probably assumed there is only one Robin and "corrected" the team that Robin's name is Dick Grayson, not Tim Drake, which led to changing his name in Lego Batman 2. Other versions of LB2 still call him Tim IIRC, but the Xbox 360/PS3/PC version said Dick Grayson. And lastly, he is never actually called Dick Grayson in the game, only through text, such as the character's name in the roster. No one ever actually says his name, unlike 3, where he calls himself Tim. So as far as I see, Tim is the Robin in LB2, and TT are just dumb.

  • @IrregularGuyYT
    @IrregularGuyYT ปีที่แล้ว +2

Personally, I think that Lego Batman 1 (2008) is a separate story. The two biggest ideas that could support this claim are these:
    1. The game came out during the run of the "LEGO Batman" theme that went from 2006-2008 and then disappeared until the "LEGO DC Super Heroes" theme started in 2012. The focus of the first theme was strictly Batman.
    2. The first iteration of Batman in Lego (from 2006-2008) was significantly darker and grittier in tone and art style than the versions that came later; not to mention the lack of references to the other DC heroes other than that info on the batcomputer about superman (which I take to be an easter egg rather than a plot point - similar to what the Arkham games did).
So in my mind, trying to make the timelines fit together is like trying to make Tim Burton's Batman fit in the same timeline as Zack Snyder's Batman. Also, the comment in the recording about the 2nd and 3rd game being sequels was in regards to the release dates, not the storyline (since he was talking about the game mechanics at the time).

So there you go thats actually confirmation of things being displaced through dimensions after vortech's defeat.

edit: Yes, obviously the films are supposed to be their own canon, congrats, you figured it out! the video is to show how perfectly they all fit together regardless. I also see comments pointing out the fact that Damien Wayne's Robin is in Be-Leaugered. Yes, Robin does appear for an onsrceen gag in the start of the movie, however, there is no crediting towards this character, so the identity of that Robin is unknown. Yes, it shares the costume of Damien, however, Batman himself changes costumes many times between the games and movies, rendering using costumes a means of identifying character pretty useless. That also being said, this is a "theory" at the end of the day, so come to your own conclusions

I don't think the Family Matters and the Flash Time Travel movie are from a seperate divergence due to the Dimensions timeline however a split is definitely possible.
Most if not everything about designs are different most notably being brainiac's ship design since those are 2 very different things in game and outside so...
      3 seperate universes?
1 is Universe one that follows everything up to Villains.
2 is the new dimension where we see Family Matters and Magic and Monsters.
3 however is a new split as we learn from the Sonic Level in Dimensions that Bats, Gandalf and Wyldstyle still travel the multiverse with their original suits.
What may add to this theory is how Dimensions you can have 2 characters interact and even have the SAME characters interact with each other so we can guess 1 went home and the other is the multiverse hopping Bats.

I personally believe that the movies all take place in order and are in one timeline, and the games all take place in order and are in another timeline, meaning that the games are not canon to the movies, and the movies are not canon to the games.
DC Super-Heroes Unite is just a slightly different interpretation of Lego Batman 2. From what I’ve heard, it is just the cutscenes from Lego Batman 2 with extra scenes added where the levels would be, so it is mostly canon to the games, it is not canon to the rest of the films. (I could be wrong about that, though, as I have not seen that film, but I have seen all of the other ones, save for Cosmic Clash, and I have played all the games.)
Also, I could’ve sworn that a developer confirmed that them calling Robin Dick in Lego Batman 2 was a mistake.

This is just the right amount of believable and ridiculous! I like how Bane’s Mole Machine, a typo, and Doctor Who somehow became very crucial elements. 😂

OH MY GOD. When I was younger I’d theorize with my cousin on a “timeline” of the Lego Batman games and we always debated which one came first and then last. Finally, this clears things up. I can finally die at peace now.
