Hey, great video!!! Just any fyi for those that have tested and ruled out fuses, relays and the blower motor resister, fan control module and come to the conclusion your blower motor needs to be replaced....before you follow this excellant video and replace your blower motor, you should consider that the problem might just be that the blower's squirrel cage fan might just be stuck on something which is preventing it from spinning! That's what happened to me. Before I completely removed my blower motor, I removed the front 4 screws and tabs as shown in the video, gently pried down the cover so I could just see the squirrel cage fan, and used a thin screwdriver to spin the fan mànually. When I turned the key and tried the fan again, it worked normally again so I just buttoned it back up and am enjoying full A/C & Heat again! Maybe I dislodged whatever was binding the fan, but consider trying this before you do a full replacement.

You saved me some cash! I took the covers off and out of sheer curiosity and remembering this comment. I gave it a couple thumps and turned on the car. Started up like nothing happened.

Maybe next time can you give advice how you got to the two back screws? I nearly ripped the entire assembly out.

I own an 07. Mfg. date July 07 and my fan is in the same place. Really easy fix. So pay attention before you see other videos stating the fan is way up behind the dash.

Didn't have to remove anything but the glove box on my 07.

If the fan blows fine, but is noisy, does it probably need replacement? That's the case with an '06 I just bought. The heat and A/C work beautifully, but it makes a whirring racket sometimes. I can cut the fan off and the noise disappears.

I just did this for my 2003 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE and it was almost identical. In other words, nothing was different that actually matters.

Was that trunk button there? Cause there's one on the driver's side. They would make two buttons.

I'm pretty sure that the part# (1ahcx00326) shown is the blower motor for a 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5L with MANUAL temperature control and NOT one with automatic A/C & Heater temperature control so make sure you use the correct blower!

I appreciate your videos. I was hoping this would help me with my 06 Maxima blower motor replacement however it seems they have some differences. I can't, for the life of me, get the blower motor/entire housing down as if there is some clip or screw in the rear I can't get to nor confirm that it's even there.
