I’m so sorry💚💚💚 I’m grieving too on SPD. My uncle died in an ATV accident almost two years ago and would have been 60. Full on Irish man and LOVED St. Patrick’s Day so much… he never hesitated to celebrate. I’m missing him a lot. It just doesn’t feel the same with a broken heart, does it? But you know, the original Irish meaning of the holiday is faith-they celebrate their faith, what it means to them, and what it took to get that faith, and defend that faith… if anyone understands grief, it is Ireland, and her people who also often spare a thought (underneath the whiskey layers) for all of their losses and all of the lives that were poured into their right to share and celebrate this faith… there’s so much left to do but we have come so far… If you do grieve on this day, it’s absolutely alright, and in line with Irish tradition!
