What an incredible couple! A man who in spite of all the discrimination and cruelty he has faced, still held on to his kindness and character. And a woman who in a time of such racism, saw past other people’s misjudgments and loved him because of him. Who left her family and life behind because she knew it was the right thing to do. Incredible! They should be so proud of themselves and the beautiful children they’ve made!

Beautiful, 53 years of marriage, that in itself is an achievement, let alone the challenges they unnecessarily had to face. Most marriages cant get through those milestones. You’re kidding me? Where do you live? I’m mixed my parents married in 1967 and I’m 52 years old and my parents really didn’t have any issues at all because of being in an interracial marriage. I myself didn’t have issues for being mixed growing up just issues for being black which is how I identify myself. I was born and raised in the state of Washington.
My husband, black, my children, mixed. Having to explain to little boys what's wrong with some white people was...heartbreaking. And in 2021 it isn't getting better.
@@miapdx503 Do you mind if I ask what State you live in? You say it’s not getting any better but what are you comparing it to? Because it’s not nearly as bad as it used to be.
@@MolliD1 honey I'm 61, on the west coast. I say it's getting worse because it is. I've lived in the different parts of the country, and the divide is great. More black people are being murdered by the police than in a very long time. Not since they were slave catchers, the original American police force. Law enforcement today sporting swastika tattoos, proud of their affiliation. I don't know what community you're safely ensconced in but stay there. We always strive to make peaceful, nurturing homes in spite of circumstances. But we cannot deny the world; it's past, the present, and the ominous future. God bless you, be safe
@@miapdx503 Law enforcement is a different subject all together. Let me say this as well with cellphones being accessible to everyone recording makes it look even worse but the abuse that black folks have gone through with the police has not changed or gotten worse since I was young. I have family members that can testify to that and there weren’t any videos to prove it. We keep talking about racism all the time Black this White that further divides the country. This country has fallen away from God and from what Christ commanded us to do and that’s to love one another. I got called the N word alot growing up I’ve gotten into plenty of physical fights over it with males and females. Growing up mixed is was easier now than it was in the sixties and seventies especially on the west coast. East coast wasn’t as tolerant. I was born in a small city in Southwest Washington with only four or five black families in it which mine was one of them having moved from Texas so I know racism. If you turn off the television what do you witness? Me? I witness nothing, no racism at all and I moved back to that small city where I was born from Seattle back in the 80’s. Like Morgan Freeman said, we need to stop talking about it and stop calling people a white man and a black man. The media is all about division because it makes a good story. Trust in God because he made us all in his image and that’s all that matters. God bless you as well.
Jenni F, there is justice and because of God and his Laws, it does exist. This couple eternal Love will bind them together and they will surely meet again in the Spiritual world. What an amazing story. Their son said it best with most people could only dream of having that kind of relationship. The way that he spoke about his wife being so beautiful to him that she looked like a model, was so precious and sweet. Such an inspiring love story.
Absolutely beautiful💜 I'm Mexican native American and my husband is white and let me tell you racism is still a very true thing in this world. We have had our troubles but nothing compared to what these two beautiful souls had to endure.
O yea i worked for a white man who was married to a Mexican woman met her at the age 16 married her at 18 after he paid her family. She was like the house maid kinda sad
My mum & Dad have been married 48yrs. They fight like cat & dog but I know they’d be lost without one another. I’ve read many biographical books from the 40’s - 60’s about midwifery, post WWII, & how awful it was for any black / white couples who fell in love & had babies. I truly don’t think this generation can even grasp how difficult it was for them. Doors slammed in their face, innocent black children trying to play with other neighbourhood kids on the street - their parents ushering their white kids inside, Andrew is right, they wouldn’t have got childcare for their children enabling her to work. It really was bloody tough. But look at them.. they loved one another so fiercely, none of it ever mattered because they had one another, & that bond.. that strength is unbreakable. May she rest peacefully until you’re all together again one day. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story of your lives together ❤️ xx
"They fight like cat & dog but I know they’d be lost without one another" - There's so much love beneath their squabbles. That fire is what has probably kept them going.
Child care for my mother who was Irish was horrendous, when she dropped me at nursery and went to work as a teacher she came to collect me and was told ‘this isn’t here so you can go to work you know, you should stay at home and care for your own children’ ..... I never went back there again!
If I live to be 100 I will never understand why two humans who love each other are ostracised for wanting to be together.... based on the colour of their skin. What an amazing couple, whose true love for each other shone through.
This is just beautiful why can’t all people in the world be this loving and genuine, just makes you realise how cruel and horrible the world is, I’m so glad they stayed together
That's a lovely story. Media should definitely show more documentaries based on love and respect. We all have a duty to play in a society, in order to make it better than it is.

Ya know what hurts even worse than this story? I'm so glad these two stuck through it. beautiful and heartbraking at the same time
@@uniquebeauty633 its a pity you feel that way. Love is love and no one should be made to feel ashamed, or to be harmed just for loving someone of the same gender. It does the world no harm. Homophobia hurts. Homosexuality doesn't.

This story should make us ashamed of our petty prejudices, hatred and better than others because of race attitudes. Beautiful love story. I cried at the beauty of it and because the lady passed.
We can move forward and recognize the terrible things that happen and do better. Be better.
@@schewitt1977 I sincerely hope so, because in the direction that we are heading in as human beings, the only way forward is together. My prayer is that one day, we fully understand that there is only one race, HUMAN. The outside looks different, but we are all just humans.
I’m not a strong believer in any religion but i like to think they’re reunited in the next life, whatever that may be
Me too :)

Absolutely. I dearly hope for this.
This is my core belief when it comes to the meaning of it all. Love. With the same person. Every single integer.

I saw a couple like this at work a while back, they were in their 70s, he was a 6ft tall black man and she was a barely 5 foot tall Japanese woman. They were so cute together.
Colour not matters all matters are respect each other love each other my brother has nice blak gfrend she is beautiful they love each other is what matters most
The way he was so gentle and loving made my heart warm. There are lovely people out there.
"This wont make me cry, it's fine." *proceeds to weep profusely after the husband says she passed on* man... that was a beautiful story.
One word....courage. To love in the face of all those challenges, one would have to be courageous
I'm a mixed kid. Even in the nineties when I was born the world had problems with my existence. Love is love . And it is beautiful
Love doesn't have colour. We all bleed red

How could someone thumb this down? 😒
This is such a fantastic couple, amazing story 🤗
I was thinking exactly the same..How could you dislike this video of true love. 53 years together. And to go through all that racism
The racists thumb this down 😒.
But forget them, this story is forever known for its inspiring message, “love has no limits.” 🥰

Sad, unhappy ignorant people who have no life of their own
Because there will always be racist cunts out there.

You could see that her husband love her deeply...
If there's any justice, then there will be a heaven that exists where these two beautiful people can spend an eternity of bliss together.
Jenni F, there is justice and because of God and his Laws, it does exist. This couple eternal Love will bind them together and they will surely meet again in the Spiritual world. We as human beings our Spirit core was originated from the spiritual world. We only need to have a connection and know, life is a journey from birth to passing.
Their is a heaven may she fly high and they will meet again ❤️

What an amazing story. Their son said it best with most people could only dream of having that kind of relationship. The way that he spoke about his wife being so beautiful to him that she looked like a model, was so precious and sweet. Such an inspiring love story.
How fortunate Chris is to have grown up with such loving and devoted parents. Most people only dream of such love.

What a beautiful story. Love and PEACE to this family. They loved each other. No one can take that away!!!❤❤❤
I’m crying my eyes out! What a beautiful story and life they had together ✝️
😭
If I live to be 100 I will never understand why two humans who love each other are ostracised for wanting to be together.... based on the colour of their skin. What an amazing couple, whose true love for each other shone through.
Exactly! How much hatred can someone have in their hearts!
This is just beautiful why can’t all people in the world be this loving and genuine, just makes you realise how cruel and horrible the world is, I’m so glad they stayed together
because people started having sex casually, then started not caring about each other.
How Beautiful!! Oh my goodness what a fine couple and he stayed with her right until the end 😢
Hello Keri🤩
“If you don’t let me down I won’t let you down” I watched this video a couple of years back. I always remember that line.
That's a lovely story. Media should definitely show more documentaries based on love and respect. We all have a duty to play in a society, in order to make it better than it is.

It’s a shame racism still exists in this day and age. People who can’t appreciate the beauty in this couple’s relationship have cold hearts. And now I have to clean up my face and reapply my mascara 😭
There will racism as long as there is ignorance. This was just a lovely couple who allow us mere mortals to witness.

Ya know what hurts even worse than this story? There are STILL couples of same sex, or different races, castes, religions, who are persecuted just for loving another human being that they "shouldn't". it's sickening. I have an estranged aunt who once said to me as a kid that she didn’t feel the same affection towards young black children compared to non blacks. I say this because she’s a teacher.
