- How to store Aloe Vera? An easy tutorial on How to store Aloe Vera in freezer for a longer time. Here's my way of storing Aloe Vera. I always prepare more and freeze it for later. It's super convenient and save me a lot of time.

Ingredients

Instructions
Remove Aloe Vera leaves from the plant by cutting it at the base with a kitchen knife or a pair of scissors. Wash the leaves with clean water to remove soil, dirt, or impurities.
Cut the Aloe Vera leaves into small pieces. Remove the stem end. Slice off the spikes on both sides. Soak the Aloe Vera pieces in water for 10 minutes. Rinse and remove the skin. Cut the Aloe Vera into small pieces.
Divide the Aloe Vera pieces into individual portions and put them in freezer-safe glass containers. Cover tightly and refrigerate or freeze. They can be kept refrigerated for a couple days and in the freezer for months.

Another idea is to store it in the bottle without removing the peel, it can be removed when you are about to use. This will keep the gel inside fresh.

Do we leave them without water? I made the mistake of using it and leaving in water with sealed lid and it went bad lol
@@user-ec4cf7ii4u yes definitely- in an air tight container. Remember: there should be no water droplets on the aloe slices or in the container. Water is what makes it spoil soon
@@jessicabasurto9485 yes Jessica - water is what causes them to go bad. Keep the slices and the container dry and put them in the fridge (not in the ice freezer but regular cooling)

You should also suggest people to wear gloves to handle the plant, in avoiding touching the latex (yellow stuff); and prevent fingers being cut from slippery.

I get the glass containers when i bought a yogurt maker. You can easily find these freezer safe glass containers online. If properly stored, they will maintain best quality for months 😊

Hi, for storing in the fridge, it's best to finish it as soon as possible. If you want to keep pure aloe vera gel for a longer period of time, you may want to freeze it in the freezer 🥰

fresh one cannot. Only last about 1 week in the fridge but can last longer if you freeze it 😊😊

You can also cut the leaf open and use a spoon to get the gel. Put the gel in an ice tray. That's what I do

yes you can use plastic jar, use the one that's freezer safe. It can last very long but the quality of the aloe vera will be deteriorate. It's always recommend to finish those homemade food as soon as possible 😄
