    Thank all comments from the reviewers. Please note that the yellow juice contains anthraquinone barbaloin. This is a strong laxative agent and can cause serious health complications if used too often. The white gel is the safest part of the aloe to take.

    When I was visiting health spa in Mexico , they were blending aloe and pineapple or whatever you would like. He was removing jelly part with a spoon, no soaking. I have a Vietnamese here in CA and her mom who is over 80 looks like 50 and she eats aloe every day, no soaking. Does not argue about the yellow glue to be removed but it sounds like all the good vitamins , nutrition and enzymes are going to be gone after you cutting any fruit or vegetables/ within a few minutes/, that is why every cleansing spa recommend to cut everything just before you are ready to eat.......

      I love your voice too. You do have a thick accent, but I understood every word. It is very soothing to listen to you even if I really have no intention of eating an aloe leaf. I have a plant that has, for some reason, some leaves that fell off in the last day or so. I was wondering what I should do with them since I don't have a burn but didn't want to waste them. They are nowhere near as big as yours though!

    I don't want to use Aloe Vera for eating but just for skin treatment. I've used straight aloe juice from leaf on my facial skin overnight for a week and folks commented how great my skin looked after a week. I'd wash it off the next morning each day btw. A chemist told me this was probably because the aloe exfoliates the skin. Any I didn't know anything about how to prepare the plant, I just stored it in the fridge and used it as I needed it every night as I wrote for my skin only.

    Best way to store that gel Would be scraped the gel out with a spoon into a bowl, Get your ice Tray From the freezer or wherever it is and start filling the holes with pure allo. Someone told me that technique and it works great because you don't have to open a bag every time and try to break off the mount you want because every amount in the ice tray is going to be somewhat the same. Lot it turns out is pop one out of guys tray and put it in my mouth and just let it melt and swallow it over time. You don't have to do it but I'm just saying is a whole I'm work inveniunt it's not going to harm the allo to just put the jail and ice trays

    Thank you for this! I did not know you could freeze fresh also. I never soak like this though, as I want to retain the watery slime as much as possible, I think too much soaking will wash away the benefits :) but yes, the yellow sap causes some itching so I am careful to remove it. I just cut off the white end and let the yellow sap drain for 10 minutes or so, then wash the leaf again before processing. My method is similar, just no submerging in water. But I use mine mostly for hair and skin, not eating, so maybe it's better to be more thorough for consumption.

      I froze my chunks in the freezer inside ice trays i know the aloe will stay fresh for ONE YEAR... and when I need a little aloe i take out one small chunk...fry it in a pinch of coarse salt till the moisture is evaporated.....I enjoy the little morsel and I know my gut will benefit its awesome healing.... for the hair I use the aloe gel and also castor Oil.... I massage in the aloe and oil,on my itchy scalp.....over night is preferable...i leave the aloe on my scalp for a few hours during the day hours...then shampoo and condition lower hair strands .....and my scalp feels refreshed.....
      I love it....and aloe plant will be in my life always and always....aloe has many many healthy benefits internal and out....
      TH-cam has many different varieties on how to prepare and use aloe.....
      Aloe mixed with other oils or spices. Such as turmeric or Talaphala can stay fresh up to one month room temperature or in fridge for longer...
      I did the soaking of one giant alow leaf....chopped it up and let it sit in a water bath for a few hours.....
      The yallow tint of the water .. was proof enough the yellow sap was released ....I then did a quick rinse of the aloe gel in another water bath in and out....no need to soak another 20 minutes.......
      Its easy.... but this woman in video makes it a complete chore and hours and hours of prep.....
      GOOD .UCK..
      STAY STRONG..
      STAY SAFE

    Aloe-vera does not contain any type of poison at all,actually,contrary to what she said,the yellow liquid dripping from the aloe,is good to eat,because the bitter taste entering your blood stream,makes anything within you that does not belong there come out,because they do not like the taste of it.My garden is filled with aloe plants,an I live in the Caribbean,born,born,raised and still lives here.

      @waynedenny250 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@surgtechbae No it is not,I live in Barbados,and my family uses all of it to wash their hair.The best way to do that is to get a blender for that purpose,and blend it.Peel off the green skin,and allow all the slimy substance to go into the blender also,and if you want to,get some olive oil,or castor oil and mix both together,an you'll see the wonders of nature at work.There's another secret I have for you,you can mix it with orange or grapefruit juice as a manner of cleaning out your stomach of all toxins.

    Thank you! I've used fresh aloe many times, but I never rinsed it as shown in the video. I just cut the large leaf in two and put the cut ends in water to let it "bleed" and then separated the center from the skin and blended the gel with water. I thought all of the gelatinous stuff was good, but never realized it could be tainted with "poison." I will try processing it using this method.

    I've never done the aloe leaf 🌿 thing myself & never seen a big leaf extracted for its gel before yet... So that's why I figured I'd buy 1 at the store & at least try it once.
    When I was a kid & teenager, I remember my family would buy it at the store to use it for sunburn & it would calm my skin, but it was all premade & everything.
    Anyway, if I could use it for my hair, scalp, skin & maybe small amount in a smoothie would be awesome, of course if it works well for me...
    I need something for intestines/gut... Also for my scalp/hair... & Now it's getting dryer & is gonna get worse with winter, so it would be good for dry skin.
    Usually I use alot of tea tree oil products & other essential oils, as well as coconut oil.

    If you're just planning to mash up the flesh for its gel, to use for cuts and burns, is this process needed? I kinda' feel like the health issues you listed wouldn't be a problem if the gel's to be used for external use only...

      DaZebraffe agree with you, if just for cuts and burns, the cleaning process is not nectar needed. I use it for burns sometimes. Thanks for you comments

    I found your video informative, but I do have a question: For time efficiency purposes, would it still remove the latex if I filet all the skin the first time around and just let the gel soak for an 1hr., rinse, and then store? I grow my own aloe, but it's the softer, white spotted type, and this is the first time I will using it for eating. I've mostly used it for cuts and burns.

      If you only them only for burns and cuts, I think it should be all right.

    I heard that the whole plant is edible. Does it depend on the type? I’ve never heard of aloe having poison.

    THERE'S NOTHING POISONOUS ABOUT THE SLIME; MATTER OF FACT, IT CAN BE EDIBLE.

      They’re talking about The yellow part
      Not The “slime” (what is known as gel)

    Why this yellow thing considered poison when on other videos calls it a laxative?

    • @tiffanythagard4518
      @tiffanythagard4518 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      i think because, from what Iv'e read on the other aloe Vera videos, it has a latex of some kind. So for those who have allergens to latex, it can be considered poisonous...

      Tiffany Thagard good comments and thanks. The yellow juice contains anthraquinone barbaloin. This is a strong laxative agent and can cause serious health complications if used too often. The white gel is the safest part of the aloe to take.
