WHO AM I:
My name is Charlie and I am disabled. I live with chronic illness, I have a severe form of Psoriatic Arthritis and its crap! I am in pain all the time and always battling fatigue. BUT, I will not let it win. I love to learn and to laugh (even though it hurts my arthritic rib cage LOL). You will often see Ollie (she) my black Labrador. She is currently my trainee assistance dog! We are together, literally ALL the time.
As there are a number of awful people who target us - the vulnerable - here is a link to my personal LinkedIn account. You can literally see the past 25+yrs of my career, people who have recommended me (as a Logistician as Disability Specialist is very new for me).

Thank you so much for reading all of this
Charlie
I am so greatful for people like you.
I never thought that being chronically ill with a health condition would mean that u have to constantly prove that ur ill to literally everyone all of the time whether professional or personal and all of these new benefit changes and plans have frightened the life out of me!.
Being chronically ill or disabled is like living on a knife edge but ur videos have been helping me 😢
Its extra difficult if u dont have a mum or dad who can help u.
This really is a stressful time for everyone and its horrendous 😞
Hugs, like you, I have huge gratitude for people like Charlie who genuinely want to help others, and for them to remain as independant as possible.
Your words on having to constantly prove your illness and lack of family support, I feel your pain, you are not alone x
Yes I know sometimes I can hardly move but still can't get help.
@@carolyndymond4065 If you lived near me, I would help with what I could, even if it is more of a muddle through together type scenario.
She's now charging £650 to fill a form in. I thought she was cool but can't respect that
@mrkolasa £120 for a practice session 😂😂.
Disabled people claiming the benefits they're entitled to, are not the reason why the economy is in a state, despite what former Tory MP and Times Columnist Matthew Parris may try to argue.
I know. But Tory supporters are flooding news sites with fake news, to try to get the public to turn on disabled. A distraction technique. Despite claimant fraud within PIP system, being almost zero. The only evidenced fraud I've seen appears to be organized & overseas (Bulgaria). Involving those who haven't even set foot on our soil.
Thank you so much Charlie!
Thanks to you, I was awarded pip only 9 days after my phone assessment. Thank you so much!
how do you get a telephone assesment ?
They just phone you when the time comes .
You are a very lovely lady and trying to help people. I would just like to say thank you very much for all your hard work. I’ve only been on here twice and I wish I’d known a few years ago. 🇬🇧🙏🏼🇬🇧😇
Found your previous video - particularly on careful use of terminology-extremely helpful when it came to our final (and successful) tribunal hearing! Thank you for all your help to people especially when you feel as if the DWP dig their heels in and deny claims with no logic to their decisions as though they have quotas to meet regarding refusing claims. Thank goodness for independent minded tribunal judges and panel members who can see right through this to achieve a just and fair result
Definitely sticking with you Charlie ❤
Hiya, you helped me through your video advice, with Healthier & Wealthier/CAB and my Social Presciber. So you helped me significantly! I won my claim by myself with the advice from those sources. Thank you for your part in the advice!!! Not sure how much or points etc as only just won my claim! Letter coming within the fortnight. First backdated payment in few days. Its very bad that we have to say we Won our claim!!! There needs to be a change!
I must thank you so much for the help you are giving people like yourself 😊😊😊
Brilliant video Charlie!
I have helped several people that I know with their PIP (and ESA) assessments, I still find the whole thing hugely stressful but have gained the PIP they needed at either MR or Tribunal stage, none of them got me involved before except my Husband, and the assessors blatantly lied about everything. Although after a complaint was put in even before his MR they suddenly awarded higher rate of daily living and lower of mobility, both were approved at higher rate on MR. So I think I can fill in the paperwork and forms etc but I just hate doing them, each of them has taken me many hours and I am tired of having to fight when it’s for people who absolutely are entitled to the benefits they now get. I don’t have the amount of energy to do this I need and it’s people I know who are totally desperate..
Hun my daughter did minne and it was soo stressfull she had to take 2 days off work becouse of the qiestions..just perfectic of all the forms

I did the points thing. I scored 10 points. I got 8 for the face to face communication section and another 2 points for making financial plans. I am currently on the start up program for universal credit.

Thank you, you’ve given me hope, I’m struggling with PTSD after a significant house fire where I lost everything including my memory, I had a wonderful job which I adored but haven’t been able to return to yet
I'm sorry you had that tragedy happen to you. I hope your claim is successful 🍀
thanks for your videos they helped me to win in all fields , nearly 100% ,thanks ,
Fantastic work all the best sending love n care
I'm still on the old DLA. I'm dreading the PIP letter
How have you avoided fraud for so long
I must've got a dud assessor, all nicey nicey on the phone... yet report had so many holes, it was like swiss cheese, not to mention blatant lies.
Yep, blatant lies. I got out of the death house, could barely stand, couldn’t walk. Lied and said I could.
Record every phone call and take pics of every document 📃 and tell them u are doing this , less likely to lie when you have documented evidence 😊
Take them to a tribunal.
@@colourfulcrafts5492, i failed there too.
Re the lies, you can record your interaction on the phone. They usually record theirs & tell you so prior to speaking to you. Under Data Protection law you can request & view any information gathered on you, written or recorded . Anyone I meet in person , i take notes during that meeting. I then email them afterwards confirming what was said & agreed by both of us: & asking them to confirm they agree or feedback if & why they disagree. Legally this is going to give you a massive advantage if they lie or misrepresent what you said.
Not long come across your channel its amazing information that you are putting out there. I have a question when renewing pip what would you put in the questions if nothing has changed from your last pip award would you put not changed ?
Thank you Charlie Anderson you genuinely make a difference.
I just wanted to thank you Charlie I have my video assessment on the 20th I have watched all your videos several times, I think you are fabulous without you I wouldn't have appreciated how tricky it all is I know I am entitled I have the same illness as you and some other issues, but I am pretty hopeful I wont have too much of a battle.
I'm sure your videos have helped so many people
I hope you are felling a little better now you have moved to a smaller home x
Asking for a friend, who has Fibromyalgia, multiple symptoms...fatigue of course, feeling like every nerve ending is on fire whike outwardly looking normal. I believe that he's entitled to PIP, he's tried once and been knocked back and seems to be leaving it.....I think that it's worth making another PIP claim (past time for MR) .... I believe that he's entitled to some help ... I would say... I Can't believe that he got neither component ... except that I'm going to my second MR in 4 years atm and I did have a lifetime award for DLA 🤷♀️ they don't play fair and ppl need someone to help explain the process , as Charlie is 😅 ....thanks
The very first thing I noticed about the PIP questions is the severe lack of anything to do with a visual impairment. There are probably only 3 that i can think of off the top of my head and still got zero. Will be using your advice in another attempt.
I have autism & fibromyalgia etc. I'm usually bed-bound. I never leave my home. My DLA was stopped. It took 18 months just to get a home assessment. Due to the nature of my autism I rarely saw a GP. Was not diagnosed with autism until 31. And never see any professionals to be able to evidence my problems. It took another 2 months for DWP to agree to let me record. They also wanted a copy of it. I can't communicate face-to-face. Even communication with my advocate was all via email. I had help creating 2 pages of info; that answered questions they were likely to ask. My advocate explained my autism & inability to communicate face-to-face. I was unable to speak to them throughout. Yet I got zero points for face-to-face/communication. Ironically I got full points for many other categories. Probably mostly for being in bed & not letting them touch me. And I got the highest payment + backdated. But it does make me angry that if I'd just had autism I'd probably have received nothing & been forced to work. When even with much support; I could barely even function before the fibromyalgia.
Thank you..
You making small mistakes and going off track is what makes me enjoy the videos. Keep up the less than perfect vibe lol
I'm watching you're video now run out of avenues too try I got 10 points on each my tribunal was refused a year later thankyou in advanced xx
Hopefully, Charlie, you received my messages.
Thank You.
Oh Charlie I've got tears rolling down. I'm there listening intently and I thought you said go get a Crap. I was thinking you don't want chronic people who take lots of medication to get constipation
FANTASTIC GODBLESS..
I went to a tribunal and got a 10 year award, mandatory consideration you may as well piss into the wind
I always use next day signed for when posting form back
I am so grateful that I get AFIP rather than having to go through PIP process. It still took me 5 years to get it sorted though
Did you need a face to face assessment?
@@user-zb9uj5th9g was assessed in rehabilitation centre over 2 months and then waited for outcome
Hi Charlie- have you done a video about mobility ? I have arthritis fibromyalgia - multiple disc collapse in neck
Spasms that effect my shoulders and my arms become useless - I’m up for review and stuck - so wondering if you have a guide in a video - heads a shed
And fed up - as we all are - just seeing if you have anything I can relate to
How do you fill out the section about treatments etc. I've few hospital appointments ahead and an op on which I'm waiting date for
Hi Charlie, I was turned down for PIP last year. Am i able to try and make a claim again or is there a time limit ? Thanks
Hi Charlie i was wondering can i take my pip review to tribunal as i had to on my original claim the accessor actually lied on my original assessment and i won my tribunal i am now up for review and i am worse than i was originally but am very bad at explaining things i have all the evidence to support my claim but am terrible at explainintg things in words

Hey - I have just been sent the online form to fill in, Is there a email address I can talk to you on to see if I am entitled to PIP? I feel like I am but I dont want to waste thier time if I'm not. I suffer with Psioratic Arthiritis and Anxiety.
Hi all
just a question. I received my PIP review/renewal Form today. After watching some youtube Videos, People suggesting : Just to write "no change" nothing else like " i am still struggling...... just no change. Is that right ??
I'm running out of time to fill in my form ,I've been overly stressing about It can I get an extension on the time limit ?
Charlie ,, we've just received our council tax letter and they've included my PIP to the total money coming in on top of our state pensions is this allowed?.
Wish I could open that bottle like that charl you are legend got my review coming up absolutely bricking it pls help
Hi Charlie..I have pip ...and I've been offered a part time telephonist job.do I have to inform pip 😮
I need some help from you. I have been diagnosed with bipolar since 2008 or 2010. I’ve never claimed for anything other than job seekers when I’ve been between jobs.
My whole life I have had to struggle with work, homelessness, relationships, prison and many other aspects of my life.
I filled online tribunal claim and there was option to say do i want to attend i wrote no as i have mental health fear going out …is that ok
I have a question and if you have time please answer it. Have you ever helped someone who is a full time unpaid carer win a pip claim? i know you can claim these benefits at the same time, but i'm scared about messing up my carers allowance. i'm not registered disaabled but am struggling with chronic pain and finding ways to still be a carer at the same time - thanks
Hi my wife is on basic pip however she does have CKD and has dialysis twice a week is she entitled to anymore or higher pip? Yours mick
Hi Charlie can you claim pip without medical evidence
Hi, my name is Gary for the third time I have lost my PiP now again I have to go to tribunal and I've been waiting since August 2023. I have never waited so long. Is this normal?
Hi how much do you charge to fill out a form from scratch for adhd do I need any medical evidence is there any guatentee ????
Should have watched this and the other videos before I applied. Had a telephone assessment. I found it hard to get through without crying. Not because of the assessor, but it was the realisation of how physically disabled I've become. I also cried when I filled out the form. I cried when I went through my answers with my wife the next day. I am a 6ft 54 year old man who should not be crying for what seems like no reason. I didn't want to apply for PIP but was talked into it by others around me, some of whom have chronic conditions and claim PIP themselves. I don't want to be a burden to anyone.
Interestingly, an AMA on reddit with a couple of PIP assessors highlights that the issue is often with the auditors, not the assessors. The assessors try and put people through for points but get told to mark down and correct the points by the auditors. They also report that they get in trouble if they are repeatedly requested to do this. To begin with, ALL of their cases are audited, after that it's the odd few.
I had no awareness of this before the AMA so it's an interesting view into the weird world of the DWP.
Tried calling on several occasions but keep getting cut off
Charlie can I ask why you keep stating that you NEED to be diagnosed to get PIP when thats not true? I know plenty of people on PIP without a diagnosis. Reason being it can take forever to get the correct diagnosis and sometimes people never get them.
I fall in that category...just been knocked down (again) going to Mandatory Reconsideration (again) hoping that they don't make me appeal, again 😢
How can they ask how far you can walk before pain ,when you’ve chronic pain syndrome..
Whats going to happen if and when they introduce the new severe disability group? Unlike pip it will depend on your conditions. One of the categories is syndromes ofbpain and fatigue i have fibromyalgia i wonder if that will get me in the group. Worrying times folks. 😔
Hi Charlie. This is my first claim for PIP! Would you recommend the paper form or online. They sent me the online form, but you can not go back and edit the information when they ask about 'telling them about your condition.' Frustrating.
You can go back I’m doing mine at the moment and I’ve gone back and changed loads
Thank you Charlie my wife is due her review forms very soon but as she has already gone through major cancer surgery 18 months ago ,it's back and she had another major opp yester day ,how the hell can she fill her review firms in now ? At my witts end with it all ,and don't know who to turn to 😢
You can wait till she is able to fill it in just tell them and telll them you are from now on recording every conversation and taking pictures of all documents you fill in as evidence 😊
@@imbonkers3629 thank you so much for your reply I will make sure she tells them so 😊
I have fibro, chronic fatigue, under active thyroid and poor liver and aneamia and I am bed bound and having to take it to tribunal as only get standard rate care 🤦♀️ I just can’t win with these people
I just got my pip assessment back didn’t get given a single point I’m so angry
People can’t afford £650😳
Charlie what does scar stand for ?
What’s the best way to record a phone assessment ?
Safely, Consistently, Acceptable standard, Repeatedly. It covers the PIP definition of Reliably. So for example, even if you can do something safely, but not to an acceptable standard or repeatedly then you can score points.
@@LemonPuf Thanks for expectation of scar. Which is quite clever to remind one,s self :)
@@RodGardner you might also see it written as STAR - safely, TIMELY manner, acceptable standard, repeatedly
Hi my partner is 39y he has been diagnosed with coronary artery disease and unstable angina, he has lost his hgv licence and been advised to claim pip. He cannot do everyday normal tasks as he gets attacks, do you think we have a good case. This is all new to us and were not sure about it all, any advice would be much appreciated thank you 😊
You will be fine it's very serious corony disease and angina I have this make sure you tell about getting breathless
100% definitely
I have to go through tribunal now
Hi Charlie I am due a renewal of pip do they send me the forms or do I need to contact them thank you
If its straightforward review then no if u won at tribunal then yes.
I hun they send you the forms be prepared its so stressfull filling it in
Do you know if you can get PIP for Type 1 diabetes
You don't get it for a condition. You get it for how the condition affects your ability to function. If you have limited ability because of it; then in theory you may get it.
I agree with you it's not difficult if you are really disabled I got it in 2020, and I think if something Inpacts your life so grately you want to find out what it is I didn't but should of called an ambulance in Feb 2020 but was to scared of catching a so called killer virus so as I could breathe mostly which is all I had I didn't want this to be in jeprady by this killer virus so I waited till I was able to see in more ways than one🙄, different hospital doctors to tell me what's wrong had xrays paid for mris and even though I've had 2diagonis I'm still not satisfied so will continue to find out all that's wrong with me so people should also try to gather evidence for their case but this can be very challenging with our health system especially now and I understand this is not always needed for a pip claim.
I tried for PIP years ago ,I have lumbar scoliosis, they wrote back saying the curve in my spine was'nt curved enough? How do they know what pain I get, were they even doctors who looked at the information I had sent them?we now exist on my husbands pension as doing too much gives me back pain,I can walk but after a while theres pain and bending hurts, yet this PIP form asks if you can walk!
Therein lay the problem. You're being too British. We're taught to grin & bear it. You have to put yourself first. Pain is a warning to stop. The form will have asked if you can walk 20 metres, 50 metres or 200. You should answer only with what causes no pain. So, if you can only walk 15 metres without pain, then you can't even walk 20 metres. Don't be a hero. The average person would not expect to be in pain. If you are, then you can't complete the task. And if asked to walk that far by the assessor, refuse on grounds of chronic pain.
Note: If you have not already had a PIP claim, you will need to claim attendance allowance instead, if over pension age.
how many points do you need to pass ? sorry might be a dumb ? but forms from the DWP scare the hell out of me
8 points for standard daily living or mobility and 12 points for enhanced.
Thank you
Hi 74 years old looking for help with PIP just trying to get a blue badge is driving me round the twist can you help.
It is attendance allowance at your age
hi charlie my pip assessment or filling the form is next march 2025 can you do it for me and i"ll gladly sort you out you"re fee no problem
I’ve been declined twice pip, I’ve given up, won’t bother with tribunal. I have so many health complications, daily pain that stops me functioning normally and they have simply discarded me.
I'm sorry you have to go through this
Hi how can I employ your services for pip claim?
Thanks
Vern
Do you have email to contact you?
How to win a tribuneral
Equality act 2010 and the mental capacity act 2005... Both show and prove disabilities under law...
Can you get pip for mental health issues. ?
Yes.
A God Bless ❤❤❤
PIP should have another name " Disability Discrimination " even the United Nations has this !!!!!!!! I've been through a tribunal where I was awarded my PIP however on my next review PIP Review Board took that against me because I'd gone over there heads.
I'm now filling a PIP form for the third time, DLA was much simpler for people and organisations to fill in and get a decision quicker and route out genuine from those trying to beat the system. Before I retired because of ill health I used to teach Economics and International Business Management with Sales & Marketing at Manchester University , I find it difficult at the way the PIP Advisors speak to you
( Attitude ) I never spoke to anyone in my working life like they speak to there clients ( us ) I just cannot understand there attitude.
The assessment is really worrying me got memory issues since brain tumour/ epilepsy so worried I will not remember what I need to say.
My Husband has the same through his Epilepsy, I am his appointee so I handle anything to do with his claim as he cannot remember what to say or do or cope with the paperwork or assessments, it’s a possible solution for you if someone can represent you in this way.
I did my pip form online - I'm guessing that's OK?
I didnt know that
@@pinky-ud1rt that's what they directed me to do. I never got a physical form to fill in. I wonder if that's new?
@@Charis88848im in nottingham so i dont think theyv started it yet...it would be better to do it on line
I hope so as I find writing painful and difficult. Might not being able to use a keyboard count against you though? Best to say someone is typing it on your behalf perhaps?
I had the assessment & didn't prepres & ive got a stoma & stressed ive been through so much trauma & i have ptsd & cant leave my house 😭😭😭
Did you have a home assessment? That will help. But working from home is a thing they'll now consider as a viable option. Did you emphasise your inability to function neurotypically? Not being able to focus, unable to sleep, exhaustion, panic etc? Things that can make working from home also impossible. Don't worry about it now. What's done is done. There's always appeal if it doesn't go well. And many win at appeal. Good luck 🍀
I'm so sick of having to fight..
DWP abuse to disabled on my TH-cam channel if you want to use it 🙏
I still get DLA not PIP.
It says I can not apply because I’m over the pension age!
If you have never received PIP before you will need to claim Attendance Allowance instead. But you need to have had the difficulties for 6 months because of your condition. I believe with PIP it's only 3 months. So some things are slightly different.
I need help , what am I doing wrong. I lost tribunal and I even had carers in to help me but now can't afford them. So getting no help now. Have recently informed them of changes as not well at all.
they ignore everything you tell them getting ready for my triunal, lets see what happens
I wonder if people realise that some people especially ones with mental health issues cant do form filling and phone interviews yet have absolutely zero help claiming pip , I've tried 4 times , got spinal arthritis and a personality disorder linked with high functioning autism , everytime they've turned me down and my mental health cant do this game , therefore I'm left for the last 5 years to survive on about £6023 a year ! So however helpful your videos may seem they are no good to those of us like me who cant get anyone to physically help me through the process , our country is broken and those of us suffering with issues like I have haven't got a chance , I literally can only afford 1 meal a day , theres some reality for others thinking we are all scrounging cunts , somenof us are actually suffering as a result of this scam
How are you only on one meal per day? You get £125 per week. You can get lots of bags of shopping from Tesco for that. Microwave meals are so very cheap. Some cost little more than one pound.
You get £501.92p per month. That's more than I get on self employment. I get a standard £375 per month. Are you sure you're being treated unfairly?
You can ask Citizens Advice , a Mental Health social worker or an advocate from your GP surgery to help fill in forms for you.. there are many many people who are unable to do these forms without help.. good luck
Should not have to practice, learn be taught how to deal with pip, should give your evidence and tell the truth! I’ve just failed with everything they asked for, liars that have made me feel like a liar and suicidal and they don’t give a shit!
Many of the assessors signed their souls over to the devil. You're too precious to let them take yours. Keep fighting! 💪
I didn't realise you charged money. Ummm😊
She's a gem xxx ❤ hot to boot x 😍
God bless ❤
