The sock hack has been used by the military here in US for years lol. That's how we had to do our hair in basic training. Years and years ago I hadn't even seen those bun things in stores, I was wearing a "sock bun" to work.

I've made hairbuns out of socks! I have red hair so the blonde buns are too light and the brown/black buns are too dark. White socks can easily be dyed to a much closer color to my hair.
Omg I never thought of that! I used to have like Ariel red hair (now it's a deep burgundy) and was scared to get a doughnut cuz none of them match my color, I will definitely try this tho!
Those things HB was showing tangle and get caught up in my hair, making me need to cut them out. My hair is below my waist so I use the socks exclusively
I was admitted to the hospital and HAD to get my hair up. I asked for socks with the toe cut off and I took the wrist part of the gloves(I ripped off the hand part). I used the wrist part as a ponytail holder and rolled up the sock to make a sock bun. It worked great! Sometimes you just have to use what’s available to you…
“Madam, you need some treatment on your hair, it’s vErY dRy!” So maybe something like…coconut oil?!?!? 😂 It seems like you had as much fun making this as we did watching it!! Would love to see more like these, and if your brown-haired friend will return to your salon after what you did to her today, we’d love to see more of her!!

Happen to stumble on to this video and thought “why not?” LOVED it! Yes there were several “really???” Hacks in there.
When I had blue hair I couldn't find a blue doughnut, I coloured a blonde one. A blue sock probably wouldn't have been a bad idea 🤔
Depending on how you dye hair, you could always make sure to apply some to a white sock and then you have a custom donut for each hue
@@EweOlive that’s a brilliant idea. Although I’d recommend and pale sock but not white because it’s likely to end up a lot brighter than the hair.

I will advise using it soft t shirt for hair drying.
Just gently wrap your hair up and wait a few minutes and the soft cotton absorbs far more water than a towel.
I have long, wavy hair and I always do this.
Also, the t shirt I use is probably 30 years old and is a family heirloom at this point 😂
I know several people who would give me a bunch of money for it ❤️ long story, many loved people involved.

I have just discovered Hair Buddah, I love him, he's brutally honest and makes me giggle with his running commentary. I just can't believe how crazy some people are..😂😂😂😂
The pencil one @ 10:30 is secured with a band around the strands underneath the main ponytail.
The thing about it is that you have to tuck the little ponytail into a band thats also around the main ponytail, otherwise you'll have 2 different tails hanging down that can be viewed from the side. Happy Styling! 💇✨

You are 100% right about wrapping curly hair. I use a towel turban on my curly/wavy hair. It dries in the towel turban for an hour, then I air dry it another hour. It works. I have less frizz even in humid weather.
It might be handy to have a roll of toilet paper on top of your head, maybe wear it that way if you're out hiking or camping in case nature calls 😆 I loved this video, your laughter is adorable and it was fun watching you try these out. Would love to see more in the future.

There are those donuts for hair and I've also seen bumps that supposedly give lift to the crown. When I was in my 20's, many years ago, we called those helpers "hair rats". Go into a store and try asking where you can find hair rats...
I thought hair rats were made from real hair, like collecting your own hair from your brush when your backcombing and such 🤪😆 but then I'm an idiot so.....
