Cory, your channel is not only incredibly entertaining and educational from an MMA fan's standpoint. It's incredibly helpful, resourceful, informative and thought provoking in terms of how (fundamentally) one should orient their thoughts. You straight up teach me, in a simple and easy to digest manner, how to strategize & optimize my approach and mindset towards life as a whole, in a manner conducive to victory. It's fucking awesome, thanks man.
Hearing you say you didn't start until you were 17 gave me hope because I only started MMA last year and I'm 18 so thank you dude. CORY THE KING OF 135 2024
as great Irish philosopher Conor McGregor said - timing beats speed, precision beats power. or if we look at something more serious and on a bigger scale - myths like 300 spartans or something fact-based and historical like the Finland-Soviet war shows that higher-level organization systems could beat systems with more resources and power. The first note - being responsible or I would put it as "being organized" is super on point.
Hey Cory, as a fight fan and fellow human being, you are just an awesome dude and a great role model. Rooting for you and staying on the outlook for new vids. Keep up the good work! Love from Hungary ❤
Dont forget that you dont have to have a very toned and muscled body like paulo costa, you just have to work on the muscles that really help you ko, take down, or submit a person. Take for example, jamahal hill, he has gotten fatter over the years but yet still boasts great stamina, power, and speed. This is just a little message, but yall stay safe 💯💯💯
I appreciate you so much sandhagen, you and O’Malley are my favorite fighters because of the different ways I grew up and look at martial arts. It’s my dream fight to see you guys fight! Please keep working hard to make that happen and get your belt.
Beautiful Video so well put actually key points not your average cliché stuff this was in depth thank you Cory I wish you well this year bro Get that Belt 🙏🏾 your time now!
Unreal video brother, so well spoken. 26 years old have my first amateur mma fight in June! Watching all your tutorials while doing everything same time ect. Appreciate you bro 💯👊🏼
Its crazy how i thought exactly what he said about i didnt start earlier or do anything combat as a kid, and im in his exact situation where i did basketball through highschool and started mma at 17, seeing his success in my position is the biggest motivation
Thank you that was very well spoken I’ve been obsessed with mma for years now and I’ve always wanted to truly explore it I guess I’ve been afraid to start but I feel this helped me decide
this mma content really stands out among other mma channels. as much as i like fighting i am much more interested in the science and psychology behind it and Sandman Delivers.
Cory Sandhagen is absolutely on point and sound of mind. I like that he is very focused but at the same time not judgmental and has a compassionate way about him. You are a Champ Cory
Great to see your channel steadily growing Corey. Also having a video from your (I assume) house. Little details that add the humanity to your technical analysis.
Dudes so calm and logical and practical about everything I like it. He's so right about some coaches "you gotta that dog in you" or some type of dark neurotic bullshit. Purpose really is everything and loving what you do is really it.
One thing I find annoying when ppl talk about Cory is that he’s “not a trash talker. Weak on the mic” which sells a fight but more importantly…..he’s a great fighter. period! These videos show how dope of a mental fighter he is. So every video, I like it. Drop a comment and let the ads run to support. Cory will be a champion and I’m mad excited for it🙌🙌
As a Muay Thai fighter, the guilt I feel from missing practice because of an injury is pure self hatred. Then I go in, and make it worse. Sometimes it’s good to take a break to heal to prevent you from being out even longer
Hey Guys I used to be a good basketball player like Cory I made it to the college level but after contemplating it for a long time I don’t want to pursue that anymore I want to fight but Im really nervous about going to a gym I want to do it, do you guys have advice on how I should approach joining a MMA gym
most gyms are pretty welcoming and usually let you try out classes for free the first one or two times, some gyms even lend you equipment till you get your own, but most of all don't be afraid to just take the dive and reach out to local gyms by going in person, website, or calling over the phone
@@ezekielromero2730okay that helped a lot I will do just that thank you I’ll dip my toes in without being nervous to do it I’ve done it before at a gym in a different city that’s the main reason I’m nervous also because I’m a great athlete but I am inexperienced at fighting to a certain degree but thanks you comment helped a lot I will do it
My boy, how do u want to fight yet you have not even started? first go to a damn gym, train, go consistently and after 6mo-1y then you can say you want to take it more seriously and you have to prove it by actions, dont think too much just go and take action.
@@lilmanq7746already have brotha I’ve been at it since I made that comment and I’m enjoying it a ton i still stand on my point now I definitely want to fight!! Even more then before
Just follow your passion, if you don't love training/fighting, if you don't really enjoy this sport, why would you do it? Just because you see Connor McGregor and his money? :D Do what you like to do, and become a master at it! 💪
I personally resonate and actually agree with what you said at the end about love, but there seem to be a bunch of fighters like GSP and Mike Tyson (he said discipline is when you hate something but you do it like you love it) who don't love fighting but still got very good at it. Not so sure about Mike Tyson though. I think he really enjoyed being the champ.
I think that's what's interesting people who are top tier performers in their careers. There are some overlapping habits but individuals have different motivators. Like Nikola Jokic really sees basketball as his job, just another day at work, can't wait for the season to be over etc. Of course he works extremely hard but at the end of the day he has his life outside of it and doesn't appear to love the sport, he just knows he's really good at it
I sometimes feel like I am making way more process when I go to practice 2-3 times a week then when I go every single day. Maybe efficiency is more important than just going to practice every single day for me.
Hey Corey idk if u reply to comments but i did boxing for 5 years from 13 to 18 and then i stopped because i found mma at like 17 and realized thats what i want to do i love this fighting game the different styles really intrigues me ik i have a really good chance at this im 5'11 , 135 pounds and ik i would have a real advantage over people in my weight class cause of height but i havnt started mma yet im 20 now and every day its all i think about wanting to chase that dream becoming pro idk if its to late for me to start im going to be 21 in December
Either way he has to fight you eventually or whoever wins and it's not gonna be good for them !!! Just so funny chito got the shot and you dominated him all 5 rounds when yall fought !!! O'Malley got that Dana white privilege!!!!!
Cus Demato said that basketballers would be the best athletes suited to boxing. Extremely fit, great hand eye coordination and team players! What else could you want in a fighter?
Been watching your last fight nights very closely, how you've evolved since the yan fight is astonishing. So well rounded and so humble, I'm determined that you'll be the man to take down o malley and clear the division as champ
Dedication is your decision to do something or be about something. For example being dedicated to a significant other. Motivation is what makes you want to do do something. motivation is a reason that can eventually waiver where as dedication is the act of being disciplined enough to follow through even when feeling a lack motivation.
Thank to Cory for this episode. Not going to UFC or anything like it, but good advices in general. I just wanted to watch because I like the Sandman, and this video proves why. Youre a good role model and a entertaining and interesting fighter. Peace!
