Awakening Breathing in the Lobes of the Lungs

  • Somatization is the process by which the kinesthetic (movement) and tactile (touch) sensory systems inform the body that it (the body) exists. In this process there is a witness, an inner awareness of the process.
Opening our awareness to our breathing in the calls and alveoli (air sacs) of the lungs engenders a quiet, meditative state of being. It is a state of receptivity to what is, rather than what we think or wish would be.
In doing this, we release the frontal lobe of our brain from directing the pattern of our breathing and open the back of our brain to receive our immediate cellular experience without judgement or commentary.
When you have finished the cycle of breathing in all six areas of your lungs, begin to explore movement arising from this awakening of your cells and alveoli.
