I read that a crank position sensor could be tested with the multimeter set to AC voltage, while cranking the engine a reading of .3 to 1 v/AC should be present coming from the sensor. Is this a legitimate alternate method of testing, or is it garbage?
If the sensor is good there must be a continuity 0.01 0.02 0.03 0r 0.04 hence your sensor can give you wrong readings base on the type of multimeter you used. So recheck it well
Please wait. You can’t text the whole key to figure out whether it’s working or not but best of my knowledge there is an expire time for that particular key and when it happens you need to program it before it will work again. However if you want check the key open it and text the resistance if there’s continuity or replace the battery 🪫. I have done a lot of videos how to test resistance with multimeter check them out on my channel. A lot of useful videos if not see to smart key expect to assist you.
I'm getting an ohms reading of 0.95 on a crank sensor I removed and replaced with a new one because the car kept stalling,is the reading of 0.95 bad? Should there be any periods before the numbers? Or should it be a full number for example 200 with no periods before it?sorry for the questions, I'm trying to learn this.
Literary, a good working crank sensor should have an internal resistance of 200Ω to 2000Ω. If the sensor shows a 0Ω value, that indicates a short circuit, and if the value is boundless or million ohms, there is an open circuit.

brother i have tested my sensor, on 200 ohm setting it says 00.4, and on 20k setting it stays at 0.00. is it defect?

Thank you. much appreciated
Oam but won't put out vts.
I don’t get what you are saying make it clear
Why didn't you use 3 pin sensor like Nissan
I you need that check on my page videos are many
❤
please which input voltage comes from ecu on a two pin crankshaft position sensor
±0.25 V minimum up to ±60 V
thanks so much
Thanks for the video . Please how can I contact you directly?
Welcome. contact us on our website ericautocenter.com or on TH-cam main page
You didn't turn the allo to ohm to test continuity ity
Explain well so I can help with the answer
What is a MultiMitAa??😮
I have answered your question in the new video which i scheduled to premiere tomorrow 4am Ghana time stay updated.
see my video on how to replace AA battery and rehang clock😂
Make your comments clear bro if possible retype again.
You can't ck ccs with ohm meter!
Your question again?
