You know... my god, this is the only recording of a Cziffra transcription I've actually enjoyed. Scherbakov needs to be more famous than he is. Much more famous.
@libetta I'm not too big a fan of the transcriptions on the CD, but I do like his playing. Personally, the reason I got into him was his recording of the Liszt-Beethoven symphonies.

Scherbakov is an amazing pianist.
I met him once. I had to play in front of him for the entrance exam for the musical college in Zurich. You can imagine how frightened I was.
exciting performance! and musical too. bravo for your left hand at 3 min 08''.... i can't understand how you can do this :-)
this is unbelievable.
you know, it sounds more "correct" than the notes given in the cziffra edition sheets.

Oui, et je crois que ses interprétations de Liszt sont impressionnantes, aussi.
Évidemment, ses mains sont énormes...
he is great, listen to his Rachmaninova
whahaha :P awsome.. at the end booooooommm!! and thann.. realy soft.. tu dumm :P the last 2 notes :P..
outstanding preformance :)
Sauf Scherbakov est un genial interpretateur de Schostakovitch au piano. Je pense qu'il a un monopole pour lui.
you must be jealous, Fred.... or this is an opinion of a car mechanic :-)
the sheets of cziffra's work are all wrong.
He has no sense of romance as his playing is without charm, guile, and enthusiasm. He plays the piano like a nervous car mechanic.
