Is it possible to add English lyrics! Thanks
This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music played by two of the most beautiful musicians I have the privilege of knowing and consider friends of mine xxxx
that violin has an incredible sound to it, who made it ?
The violin is an old Matteo Goffriller! A beautiful instrument indeed.😊🎻
What a gorgeous transcription & performance! Les Millions d'Arlequin, or Arlequinade, is a ballet.
❤ Thank you for that kind compliment. Hope you like our other concert excerpts as well.
This famous Masterpiece penetrates my mind somewhat sorrowfully. Thank you
❤ thank you!
I was deeply moved by the tune when I heard it the first time. Every time since then It touches my softest part of my soul and makes me feel like I want to sing it ,expressing to someone who can understand.
Bravissimo Leopoldo.arrivi al cuore. Interpretazione.meravigliosa.the best .con ammirazione Venceslao. ❤
Thank you so much for the kind words! We play to bring joy and deep emotional substance through our music.
Quand la musique se transmue en diamant
❤ one of the most beautiful violin miniatures ever!💯
最高!
❤谢谢
Just lovely! Why is this enchanting piece not heard much anymore?
Thank you, ❤ I believe it goes hand in hand with human values and the loss of appreciation of fine things, in exchange for speed and popularity.
Good to hear again that make me happy
Thank you very much!🥰
A heartfelt and warm rendition of Drigo's Serenade. Who is this wonderful violinist?
Russian - Swiss violinist and conductor Alexander Scherbakov
Beautiful performance.. Thanks
❤ thank you so much!🎻
This is a exquisite masterpiece filled with pensive . From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun Which are you watching this from ?
California USA
This is the serenade I like.
I personally think Drigo's Serenade is one of the most beautiful tunes there is, and this particular rendition is just perfect. During the funeral service for my father several years ago it was played softly in the background and it's been imprinted in my mind ever since. Thank you for uploading this wonderful music.
Many thanks for giving happiness to me !
Magnific 😚
¡Excelente! 👍 👍 Is this in D minor?
@Bearifiable Pau: It is in the key of E-flat Major (same key signature as C minor).
A very convincing version of this splendid piece, despite of inperfect sounding.
Perfeição!!!!
Oh, forgot to add, Leopold Auer was the name of a great violin teacher who trained many violinists including my late teacher, Murray Bernthal.
Can any one please tell if Leopold Auer rewrote this beautiful peace for violin?
She should have remembered the music sheet.
After listening to Leopold's performance, I can't listen to any other people playing this piece.
🙏 glad you liked it so much! Thank you! Enjoy our other videos under Alexander Scherbakov and Madalina Slav!
Who are these talented musicians? I'd love to hear more from them, especially the violinist.
jjc71546 Alexander Scherbakov, Russian Swiss Violinist and myself, Madalina Slav on the piano. Thanks for the compliments!
Thank you, Madalina! Excellent performance.
Thank you for your work and training to perform this beautiful piece and bring beauty into my life.
makes me cry - is there a translation?
Superb!
I have been looking for the perfect rendition of this beautiful old song & just love it
You've found it---the perfect rendition of this piece!
Very kind. It is a marvelous little jewel ❤
you must be jealous, Fred.... or this is an opinion of a car mechanic :-)
Beautiful
this is one of my favorite classical pieces.. really good interpretation.. but i like the flute version of this more... cause for somehow its more elegant and more romantic on flute.. this piece is kinda sad in violin....
Dariel Pabellar Yes. It is a little sad because of slow tempo. Mischa Elman's version is better. s
I was hoping I could find some other music by Glazunov the 2 pf concerti did not impress. I grew up loving the violin con as a child. This is good too with a melody right out of Balakirev . I hope the saxophone has orchestration lesson for me . The playing here is wondrous & makes the music really communicate !
He has no sense of romance as his playing is without charm, guile, and enthusiasm. He plays the piano like a nervous car mechanic.
You are right.
De mis favoritas :)
I think this is from the ballet Harlequinade (les millions de Harlequins), not an opera
...and learned something. That Drigo's famous serenade comes from an opera... Thanks for uploading! Greetings, Rolf. Netherlands
Well, actually it comes from a ballet, Harlequinade, or Les Millions des Arlequin. Isn't it beautiful though!
Excellent interpretation !!!! Congratulations !!! Both musicians are amazing. The violinist has a great, great talent and does magic with his violin. I just loved his feeling and excellent vibrato. The lady pianist also plays beautiful. I have enjoyed this wonderful interpretation very much !! Thank you !
This is a Splendid performance! Who are the performers..their names please!
@silviemusik it's written in the description.
not allegro tempo but sounds amazing bravo!, i cant even get it past 90 to the 120 allegro
ce frumoasa esti aici, si iti sta tare bine cu rochia asta. sarutari
-Nicely done!
gorgeous music
Bravi!!
Well done! This recording is a gem.
@Sitekicker12 Not at all. The effect mimics that of a full orchestra.
hahaha!!! I enjoy this piece, and the back drop is amazing!!!
great video. great artists
Usual negative criticisms from TH-cam 'expert' trolls... I am a music teacher and multi-instrumentalist and I felt that the performance used a lot of expression and was a valid interpretation. Depends whether you view the role of the piano as merely accompanying or in a kind of duelling/duet capacity. I think it is both and the pianist sensitively responds to that. There was no point when I could not hear the violin. This is from Copeland's Rodeo, not from Brahm's Lullaby, anyway...
