Cool video BTW!!! Definitely helps because I'm no electrician. I got one that's a small contained unit, prewired. Dual USB and dual 12v with the volt meter and switch. Just 2 wires to hook up.
I have a spray in liner, so I'm not sure how the drop in liner fits the bed. If it's covering the entire storage box, or it's outer trim where you can't pull it out, then yeah you'll need to find a way to either work around it or take it out.
I don't know much about the wattage/amp/voltage math. The circuit is 12v, max amperage 20amps. The flexbed wiring goes through a 20 amp fuse connected to both flexbed terminals. They aren't separate circuits. So it'll be based off the limitations of the circuit with that 20amp limit and how many things you put in it to draw power.
@VladministratorGaming well I did a little snooping. Not a real deep dive mind you, but it sounds like your max is about 240watts. That's DC, I don't know if things change when you convert to ac
Ah crap. I'm not getting any voltage from either flexbed 12v with the Maverick "ready to drive". The 120v outlet in the bed works and I'm getting 14.8 from the interior 12v outlet.
You're going to have to check the fuse under the hood. I blew it when I tried running a heat gun from the outlet and that's how I figured out both flex bed hookups go to 1 20 amp fuse. It's number 84 in the box under the hood referencing the diagram from the site linked below. fuse-box.info/ford/ford-maverick-p758-2022-fuses
@@VladministratorGaming Thank you! It's a Hybrid. I agree the manual says #84. Somebody else reported that it was 88, unlabeled. I'll check. I really didn't want to repair this thing, but here we go...
@@anitatombreach7801 I have a hybrid too, it was 84. Popped in the new fuse, reinstalled the fuse box and wiring harness connections and everything was working again. 5 minute job.
@@VladministratorGaming Thanks for your reply, swapping didn't fix it. The huge forward facing kid seat is the PITA to reach the battery. It's is very difficult to retighten the top anchor to the bulkhead. I actually just unhooked the belt anchors only and wrestled the seat up. Anyways, after fumbling with that and the weird under hood fuse box, 84 appeared broken. I stupidly switched the fuse out with #71 (rear console power), so now I'm down 2 fuses and 2 power sources. I just had to pay $10 and a free trial of Prime to get a 5 pack of the 20A slotted M fuses for #71 (84 will stay broken), arriving Monday because I'm headed on a road trip next week. I just might be a moron, haha. Left a VM for Ford service. My accessory is a dual 12v outlet/usb switched box. I don't think that would blow a fuse? I did learn about the underhood fuse box at least, it will be easy now. Thanks again!
Great job with the installation on this! An applicable process for installing a 12v outlet in a lot of places. Well played!

Got a link my brother?
Wow, what an amazing video! Thank you!
Glad you liked it. Oddly enough, I was making use of this outlet earlier today.
Bro thanks for the video
Excellent, my worry is my drop in bed liner...looks like I may have to remove the passenger side panel to access all of this?

What are the part numbers for the outlet n switch?
Cool
How much wattage can you pull through that? I'm thinking charging batteries for my 18v or 40v setups

I have no idea what kind of car this is or why you'd want to do this but Chip looks cute 😂
