I'm going through it right now with BTS. So far so good, plus it helps that they are still releasing new content while enlisted and that they enlisted close together so the hiatus isn't as along as other groups who enlist separately.

The Japan ticket lottery is meant to make it more fair for people who are busy when tickets are for sale. That way the tickets aren’t sold out for people who have work
On the kpop is dying. This conversation happens every few years I swear. lol. Saw forums in 2014 talking about this when I first got into kpop. Kpop just kept going. Then again in 2017, only for BTS & Kpop to blow up.
Now people are talking about it AGAIN, this time I feel like it's just burnt out for alot of people but people aren't realizing it. I noticed so many people talking like they hate everything in kpop now & how Kpop is a burden. & I really feel like there just played out on the Kpop gimmick & need to take a break & reset.
I also agree that this month has been a little slow & dissapointing for releases. But we still have a half year left so I'm not to upset about it. Especially since a lot of bangers last year were released in fall & winter.

loved the AITA kpop version section! I really hope the bride decided to play whatever song she wanted to. So many people make their wedding about everyone else and they don't do the things that will truly make them happy. I walked down the aisle to a kpop song! I walked to Seungmin's OST "Here Always" and it was beautiful and my husband was completely fine with my choice because he knows how much I love that song. As for the husband who's jealous of his wife's Minho love, he needs to learn that the love she feels for shinee is very different from the love she feels for him. It's a sign of deep insecurity to equate them. and idk it feels toxic to me to want my partner to only care about or pay attention to me. Being in a relationship doesn't mean you suddenly become blind to every other person out there, it just means that out all of those people, you chose them to spend your life with. I guess I'm fortunate that my husband, although he strongly dislikes kpop, has never had a problem with me enjoying it and talking to him about how beautiful I find each member of Stray Kids. He usually just ends up reminding me that even though Seungmin is my bias, he thinks Han is the most attractive and that anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong lol.
That wedding AITA makes me so mad!!! Friends and family are calling her bridezilla over *them* not wanting her to play a song at *her* wedding? They're guestzillas, they won't even remember the song in a few years but she will! Do it girl!

Loving any celebrity and a real life person manifest diferently, like me tweeting about how much I love an idol on twt isnt gonna make my bf think I dont love him or I genuinly think that men is competition for him or anything like that.

See, I think it's funny that Audrey specifically mentioned Ladies Code in relation to the dating ban because that's one reason that I don't believe the dating ban should exist. Of course I hope that any and all kpop idols live long and healthy lives (with some actual criminal exceptions who are already d to me (idk if certain words need to be censored for youtube these days?), however that's no guarantee. You could be happily living your young, beautiful 20 something life and then be involved in a crash and it's just over. Personally, I just hope Eunb and RiSe got to live their lives to the fullest and explore the paths that they wanted to explore - and if that included dating, I hope they got to enjoy that too.
My situation is funny because my bf actually got into kpop briefly before I did, but for him it was kinda a brief phase of mostly just listening to the music and then later I got into them for all the dancing and visual stuff AND the music, he doesn’t know much about the stuff I’m into but we enjoy going to the concerts together and I always point out who my bias is (both girl and boy groups) and I just don’t make it weird? Like I’m not “foaming at the mouth” for jaehyun but I’m just telling him how I’m in awe of his voice & shit, and then I go to a dua lipa concert with him bc he really likes her & her music. And because he had originally got into a little of loona’s predebut stuff it’s been fun seeing them mostly all together & then their new/old subunits & solo shows together 🥲 also my bias for kpop idols isn’t romantic so I’m legitimately always happy to hear if my favs are dating as long as it seems to make them happy and I’m sad for them when it doesn’t work out, it’s possible to be into kpop and not make it weird ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The dating scandal point is just similar to first gen. Because I don't see anyone saying how those idols interacted other than music shows. Example that whole H.O.T and Baby V.O.X dating scandal. A delu fan made a Baby V.O.X member blind in one eye apparently. It wasn't until second gen that variety shows interaction like X-men or Star King and many more. Dating scandal were bad but not as bad as that example to compare with second gen. But we got married lasted longer than expected.

40:28 I can see both sides tbh and Idk abt the little sister situation but if I had to give her advice if she was that determined to be an K-pop idol she should have worked part-time jobs when she dropped out of high school cuz her only focusing on dancing & singing at the time wouldn’t get her that far into her goal she should have worked while practicing when she was 16 so when she gets older she can go and travel to Korea to maybe audition or even be a backup dancer, and then she could expand her training there cuz companies do train their trainees so I think she should have focused on the financial part before training that early and struggling with money and everything, it sets her back to further more get into her dream cuz I don’t think she thought this through when she set the goal for her. (I think it’s heartbreaking but if she’s still determined then at least she could work while helping out her sister and then maybe she can actually follow her dream)

Probably because Twice has been active for almost 10 years and their fans are older, while Aespa is still a pretty new group
It's not a difference in fandoms. When a group and its members start getting older, people care less about them dating. It happens to every group, in a few years the Aespa members will also be able to date freely without their fandom going crazy.
I really wish people would not hate on them for dating and doing whatever they want... I mean dating isn't dangerous or anything so I don't get the big deal

ONF was my first group who i stanned through their enlistment and honestly ONFs youngest is 24....so there is no doubt in my mind that all of them have had a relationship or are in one now 🤭 I just wish kpop could be more open so that if ONF wanted they could be public about it likeeee making couple songs if their partner are singers too or make cute couply skits, shows, merch lol like Snow tha Product did with her now EX 😆 im all for it honestly
But even if relationships were more accepted it's possible they would still want to be private with their relationships, especially if it was a non-celebrity. It's a personal choice.

I went to my friend’s graduation…me, her, and one other friend were the only kpop fans there but she played Newjeans and some BLACKPINK anyway. Her dad got up and danced with her during those it was super cute. I don’t think anyone felt awkward . And yes they played super shy😂😂
35:05 it's not just feeding into the idols and fans interactions. It's the shipping culture too. Karina for example. People couldn't seem to grasp that Karina is indeed not a lesbian or that she and Winter as a couple is purely fan service.
So I don’t know if you guys know this but the song Fly Away with me was bought from this guy called Jordan Fisher. Jordan fisher actually released the song and it was called all about us. So she could just use the English song if she wanted to. But I understand if she didn’t. I love both songs.

1) The sister wanting to be a Kpop star & getting kicked out. Problem I see is that she has no plan?? Like she quit high school to better her dancing n singing. But after she betters it what next? She's in dance cover teams & went solo but is she doing audition for companies when they open global auditions. I also find it so interesting that the parents are very lax about all this?? Especially with letting her drop out of high school to pursue it. She could of definitely taken dance classes after school or during the weekend. Sad but sometimes people like that need a kick in the butt.
2) International fans also being upset about dating news & that paragraph. I actually understand what opener was saying & have actually said this before. With the way people talk about idols when there dating or talk about oh they must be sexual involved with someone cause they look so happy it makes it feel like the fans are overcompensating, especially when that's mainly how they talk about there bias. It comes off as being like; Ooo. Ooo look at me I'm not delulu cause I think my bais be f*cking. But I feel like were transitioning out of that & the new way to say I'm upset my bais is dating without saying is; Oh there s/o is ugly.
3) Guy upset that his wife "loves" Minho more then her. I personally always see this as someone being slightly insecure. It also doesn't help that there marriage is arranged. But my personal reasoning is that my mom has two celebrity crushes she still talks about. My dad has no problem with it & they even make jokes about them coming to take her away & my dad jokingly saying yes cause my mom is jokingly alot. My mom & dad understand that they are married & her celebrity crushes... are just celebrity crushes. He has never questioned once if my mom loved X celebrity over him. So I personally don't see/understand why people get upset about women/men having crushes on celebrities/fictional characters. Cause there just so unitanible it's like; What is there to worry about???

31:00 theres not a maximum time for people to be in rhe kpop industry lol. Its just that a single contract can be at the longest 7 years, then after the 7 years they have to negotiate another contract or the idol has to say they dont want to be an idol anymore
i think the implication is unethical contract practices that go beyond that 7 year limitation like they used to in the past
