Ken raced a Trans Am car on the road course at Brainerd International Raceway (Minnesota) during the time he was driving the Kodiak car. It must have been an off-weekend in NASCAR. As easily seen in this video, he's a very personable man. Unlike many drivers, he also takes a moment to sign a legible autograph.
Kenny is a class act. Try to see him race whenever I can. Enjoy seeing him out and about among the fans and chat a little with him. He always makes time for anyone that shares the passion. Need more like him in the sport. Thank you Kenny

I met Mr. Schrader at a track in Bloomfield, Iowa. He is such a nice, affable man. He was leaning against his car in the pit, all alone, and we walked by. We said hello, introduced ourselves, and chatted with him for several minutes....super nice guy!
ran into him by chance at Devils Bowl earlier this year, talked with him briefly and asked for a photo, he obliged. Ran into him again later that night, told him how I have family in the St Louis area and when I visited them in January we went to Fast Lane Classic Cars in St Charles and one of his old truck bodies was hanging from the rough, he said, yeah, that's neat..

Tee jay i met him in natural Bridge also. I live in weyers cave. Been going to the Bridge and East side for 40+ years. Ken fit in the pits just like one of the boys, it was kind of weird, he is a pure racer if God ever made one that is for sure
His advice to young drivers has never changed. I met him once at his shop about 18 years ago as a go kart racer looking to make it big and when I asked him for any advice he said "pick up Golf!"
You know back a long time ago at Seekonk Speedway we had the opportunity to have Ken take a picture with us in Victory lane after we WON in the charger Division, He also won that night in a Pro Stock ! a true Gentleman!!! God Bless Ken and all of his racing adventures!!
I remember Kenny saying one time on TV, "I'll never leave Hendricks Motorsports (HMS) Mr. H will have to fire me. Cause if I quit I'd have to give HMS back to much racing equipment." I remember him loosing a piece of his thumb too, while he was still driving the #25 car for HMS. Seem like he was helping replace an engine in the 25 car I think. When I think of Ken Schrader makes me think of all the good ole boys Like Harry Gant, Buddy Baker and Neil Bonnet just to name a few...

I was working at Southern Motor Speedway in Kenly, NC and had the opportunity to meet him. I worked at the tracks crossover opening into the pits. It was a cold cold weekend and he invited me into his motor home parked along the fence. One of the nicest men you’d ever want to meet.
Always been a fan of Schrader. My first racecar was #33 back when he ran the Kodiak car. Had a ton of Schrader diecast cars. Down to earth, genuine guy and has a good time even on a bad day.
The 1st time I met Schrader was at Eldora, he signed a shirt for my son who was about 10. After he got done signing the shirt, my son ask him if he could get a selfie with him. Schrader said yes and that make his day. Kenny is a class act.
Ken Schrader came to our little clay track back in 1984 or 1985. He pulled in in a complete hauler with all his "fancy" equipment. Had some of the regular guys making not so nice comments about "Mr.Big Shot". By the time he left everyone realized he was just a racer. He treated everyone like they were equals. He couldn't have been nicer. A very classy man. He is what every racers should hope to be
@@HistoryMysteryMan no problem , ya it was in 2008 and my friends uncle drove the Hauler for Tim Sauter , and his Uncle got us in the pits as tire catchers , it was a blast , it rained alot that day so there was a lot of downtime , Shrader was there and a few other cup guys , Johnny Benson and Ol' Mike Skinner we had some laughs it was pretty cool haha
I loved watching Kenny keep Michael Waltrip in line on "Inside Winston Cup". Mikey would become flustered, Johnny Benson would quietly giggle to himself and Alan Bestwick was always looking for a place to hide.
That was a great show while it lasted. Featured really good guys- Mikey being the least best of all. Johnny Benson was another of those really nice guys who got screwed over or he would have won more. Alan is a great announcer with a deep knowledge of racing.
Mr Schrader I have so much respect for you. You never let anyone step on your opinion. But at the same time you are a good guy who didn't just go out and trash people for the hell of it.
No shame, lots of fame! I've seen and raced ocaissionally with you and many friends in the grass roots racing community. You are TRULY a legend and hope to see you for many years to come! He is one of my all time favorites. I remember when he was working on an engine, and he got his thumb cut off at the first joint on the fan belt. He still drove the next race even when the shifter broke. Lol. He shifted gears like this 👍
I love Kenny Schrader. Not only is he a racers racer, he's a phenomenally humble, down to earth guy. He's the human prototype of Tony Stewart that he can drive and win anything.

He is one of my all time favorites. I remember when he was working on an engine, and he got his thumb cut off at the first joint on the fan belt. He still drove the next race even when the shifter broke. Lol. He shifted gears like this 👍

I love Kenny Schrader. Not only is he a racers racer, he's a phenomenally humble, down to earth guy. He's the human prototype of Tony Stewart that he can drive and win anything.
I do not know if that is supposed to be a compliment and/or a back-handed compliment or what, but, i think you owe Mr. Schrader an apology, either way.

It's a compliment to both but before there was a Tony Stewart, there was a Kenny Schrader that could drive and win in any kind of car. The only thing I have to apologize for is that I think it's a good thing you can't reach your keg, sounds like you've has enough already. Perhaps that's why you've fallen.
