Actually she was telling him the entire time to “stop, quit it, cut it off, no stop” you could see her hands. That would be so annoying for someone to agree to ride just to do that the entire time.
They need to show some restarts like this.. to get a really good sensation of speed.. that was awesome.. I'd just about kill to sit in that passenger seat.... for about 20 laps in a real competition race
That’s a “experience” car, it’s got a 6000 rpm limit chip on in the Msd ignition (red box) on the right side. Notice the zip tie around the little white chip to keep you from removing it. This car probably has an out of the box crate engine in it due to novices driving it for the “experience”. 6000 is nothing for a race engine those turn 7800 with restrictor plates, 9500 without for 500 miles.
Nice in cockpit footage. I’ve done my share of laps at Daytona, but only on 2 wheels. I wouldn’t mind having a test drive of this car. Sorry to say, I have never been to or watched a NASCAR race. One of these days….
This is so great. Looks like Bodine could still wheel a car well. Wonder why they only go 170...sure the racing experience throttles the cars back a bit for safety. Man I wanna be in one and always have since 1990.
Well he sure made that look easy. Someone had the car setup quite well for him. They must have ran some laps and made adjustments before he climbed in it. He still has it even after his bad experience there.
I love it. This is what this man did for so many years and he gets the chance to take his wife to work with him. She what's him to slow down but she is riding with one of the greatest drivers of all time. I'm a firefighter and would love to be able to take my wife in a house fire to show her what drives me to do what I love. So dam cool.
I saw Geoff Bodine lap the entire field including Dale Earnhardt at N. Wilkesboro with Hoosier tires in 1994 and the week after he was killing it again at Charlotte before blowing the motor coming out of his final pit stop.
I don't know much about nascar being an aussie but i really dig that the driver still 'drives' the car and from what i've seen they're a real hand full. Kudos to the passenger, it takes some guts to get in one.

Speedway not raceway but this is hilarious with her reaction 😂. He’s only going 2/3rds throttle with A rev limiter kicking in . You know he wanted to open that sucker up wide open
Let us not forget that this is the track where this man almost died. Getting back in a race car here after that incident takes balls in my opinion.
I agree, and I bet he carries his balls in a wheelbarrow, having seen how bad that wreck was.
It’s in their blood. They have no fear.
Dale Sr. died on that track
