I always wondered at those who rushed through life, so busy, so occupied, so focused. When hiking with them, to them the outdoors was a gymnasium, an exercise and a destination. So much they never see, feel, explore or observe. Slow down, pause, touch, watch, help. The journey is the object, the destination is merely a starting point. Immersion in the vast number of moments makes one lifetime of almost infinite length or at least infinite life. To rush, to blinder oneself, devalues the gift.
Well said. When we were children, time moved at a snails pace. We were impatient and wished for it to hurry up. We couldn't wait for it to reveal the mysteries of the future. We would dream of who we would become, the places we would go, the joy the next day would undoubtedly bring. But time is a trickster that in the end will ravage us, steal the dreams we put our heart into, and little by little rob us of our youth, our beauty and our passion.
Just beautiful. And I think we can all relate to your story and I do believe we have broken through a lot of the pain we exsperience here and we will move into a new way of being sooner than later. My mom and my sweet dog Magic passed on Easter day this year so i can relate.
