From what we know, Thargoid drones are huge insects. All you'd need to do at a human settlement is go indoors and they're screwed.... Unless they themselves can produce or use something smaller that, by "design", works in that environment. I'd still like to see a centralised Thargoid "controller" of some sort... So for want of a better expression a boss that perhaps stays outside the buildings and must be tackled separately. But that boss acts as a puppet master. Also I'd like to see new art assets used for the assimilated humans that makes sense. Some obvious outward sign that they are "turned". Star Treks Borg are a perfect example of something that used to be human but really now isn't. And you can't argue with the positive effect they had on that franchise when they were introduced.

Same. I have spent little to no time in the game the last few months. IRL, and the current goid stuff aren’t for me. But watching Buur’s videos remind me how beautiful the game is and wants me to return. Even if just to raid or reactivate a base. I’m more for casual play these days.

Thank you guys for being a consistent anchor in the Elite community all these years. After a few years break I’ve been dipping my toes back in, it’s so great to have this channel to quickly get back up to speed. Been playing since release, loved every minute of those early days scraping enough credits to get that next FSD or distributor upgrade. Hopefully with the new updates coming some more of the wonderful elite magic is injected back into the game. You guys rock, I don’t know how you’ve kept it up for so long but I thank you :)
I feel totally left behind in the Thargoid focus .. it’s nearly totally focused on combat and battling Thatgoids in engineering ships to be allowed to enjoy any of the new content
There's a bunch of non combat contributions that you can make on foot or in a ship that require little to no engineering actually. But I take your point. I'm personally REALLY pleased that the AX players finally have some new content.... They've had nothing new since 2018 before this... but, whilst I enjoy the story and the spectacle of the Thargoid conflict I largely don't participate in it myself... It's not really where my personal game is at.
I have an engineered ship that can fight thargoids but I did miss out on visiting the titan because i didn't want to go through the grind of engineering a ship to reach one. I hope we can just buy those modules, eventually.
@@marsMayflower When those things drop you out of supercruise or witchspace, do these 3 things RAPIDLY as soon as your ship lets you: 1. Boost 2. Silent Running 3. Cook a heatsink Keep boosting enthusiastically while charging your drive. Once the heatsink is used up, pop another one. I went from a 100% probability of a rebuy whenever a Glaive showed up, to not losing a ship even once, after having read the above tip somewhere else. Glaives may be able to out-run and out-gun you and me, but only if they can see us. 😎
And I just bought an SC and the FC is waiting to be cut into razor blades. The only thing that can change my decision to stop playing ED is some really good news from FDEV

Will certainly give the new srv tool for explo a l👀k! Am currently using Explo Buddy and Elite Observatory for my trip. I'm currently roughly halfway through an expedition in the southern parts of the galaxy and am 2 levels away from Elite exobio in my alt and probably near same in my main cmdr having started the explo trip both as totally directionless and clueless🤣 The srv race around a planet sounds interesting. Was Mr Turner a stunt man before he started playing Elite? He's done some amazing feats in game👍🏼👍🏼
Damn, that tool is something I needed for the longest time. I hate trying to land on planet using coordinates. I spend too much time trying to get close only to have to fly in atmosphere for 15-20 minutes just to get where I want to be.

It's actually my wife's screen... She films and edits 99% of our footage and videos. She's also an explorer but cinematography is a huge part of her game so the screen format makes sense for her :) Glad you like it.
Excellent video,. I don't think the people in quarantine are going to be the big threat. If the murder marigolds wanted the captives rescued, why not place them at spire sites or other more accessible locations. I think we have more a threat from the people still held captive, who may get deployed. Holy Coe, that tool looks incredible!
Does the new exploration tool work on Horizon's? Or only Odyssey? And can it really guide you to Co-ordinates on a surface without having to Orbit the planet and line the Coords up?

I'm so sorry .. in my honest opinion (which is what I would think you want?) the chances are somewhere between extremely unlikely and zero. Our best guess is that the development cost versus the numbers of active players on consoles don't make sense. If Fdev thought it was going to be suitably profitable they would have pursued it. 😥 O7

I currently have 927 hours I started the elite dangerous on PS4 pro met a bunch of Guys that helped me with transport missions and I grinded fed rank to unlock the Corvette and now I'm sitting on CR:2,558,445,458 and I just do a bunch of random exploration now with my Corvette get it out with a SRV Bay and a fighter Bay and I just go to landable planets with rings and take screenshots
Frontier definitely needs to do something with exploration, I've been to thousands of planets and I've seen the same Flora over and over. The only difference is color and name change. I don't think it would be a monumental feat to increase the atmospheric landings to a 0.25 or 0.50 thickness that would allow weather such as dust storms, methane showers, even snow storms. They still have a lot of potential for this game but they seem to only focus on one thing which is the Thatgoids.
I'd love to tell you otherwise but the cold truth is that if it made financial sense for FDEV to bring Odyssey to consoles they'd have done it already. Really sorry.
