Chevy Chase does a savage moonwalk
Rusty’s outfit is the most hilarious thing ever.
ROTO SCOPIC He looks trendy!
...
For the renaissance era.😂😂😃
He looks like Luke Skywalker lol
Dressed like an actor for the renaissance festival
ROTO SCOPIC lolol
He looks like a poor and nerdy member of the Papal Swiss Guards, if you ask me.
It cracks me up how they all walk out of the shop in the outfits and react as if they never saw each other 🤣
I wish they would play this at Bloomingdales as I shop.
Right?!
“Hey you look cool!”
“I feel cool!”
Haha gets me every time
One of my favorite Chevy Chase films. R.I.P. Dana Hill.
I know I am a decade later, lol. I didn't know she died going at 32 years old in 1996 (have doing recent research. Thanks for your information. RIP to her. God Bless.
Yep, complications from the dreaded diabetes. RIP
I love Clark's outfit when they come out of the store ahahaha moonwalking too!
Those outfits are actually about as cool as it gets. It amazes me how we've still never managed to meet or exceed the quality of fashion design from the early-mid '80s.
Haha, someone from the future is laughing very loudly at your comment. 😂
it's beyond me
80’s fashion was the worst.
Keep in mind that this is FICTION. Real people didn’t actually dress like that back then.
I think you may be missing the joke
Ha ha ha Rusty's clothes.Whoa Beverly D'Angelo is sooo hot!
LOL! This is one of my favorite scenes from the movie. The outfits they picked out (especially Rusty's) are so over the top.
We used to own this movie on VHS and my family & I STILL quote lines from it, especially, "You look cool.....I FEEL cool!!"
"NEW LOOKS" sung by Dr, John. Written for the film by songwriter hall of fame inductees Charles Fox ("Killing Me Softly") and John Bettis (Madonna's "Crazy for you" and Whitney Houston's "One Moment In Time")
Charles Fox wrote "Happy Days" and "Love Boat" theme songs, John Bettis wrote the "Growing Pains" theme song and Dr John sung the "Blossom" theme song My Opinionation.
The scene shows that despite them trying to fit in, they still stand out.
I remember when there was no facebook and cell phones.
oh how i miss the simplicity.
TheWhiteDevillll Me to😫
2021 and I don't use either of those things LOL. Okay I do use a cell phone. Too many websites you need a cell phone for security checks. But I don't use a smart phone, I use a dumb phone. Why would I pay over a $1000 for a crappy computer LOL. When my I9 9900k at home completely blows away anything a crappy smart phone with 1930's sound quality can do. Yeah I get on my soap box regarding the scam that is smart phones. Don't be a slave to these corporations.
No cellphones, just payphones and landline phones in hotels in the 80s.
The glance from the Italian businessman at the end said it all.
1 of my favorite scenes in all of lampoo history. God Bless.
I went shopping in Italy and ended up looking exactly like this...ha ha
I GOT to find this song. I've made it my life's goal to collect all these rare tracks from 80s movies.
Anyway, you couldn't really have a respectable comedy film back then without a rad "trying on clothes" montage.

New Looks by Dr John
Who knew Chevy Chase could moonwalk?
1:16 Audrey was lookin' GOOD in that outfit, as well as the other two. RIP Dana Hill
Sean Ingram yeah she looked REALLLLL Pretty 😊
Mum had to ruin it. It was less controversial than the black leather outfit
I actually like the mom's outfit.
Classic 80s musical montage
Found it! The scene, that is. Beltrami Clothing Store. I love using Google Earth. It took me some time but I found it. Google Earth...Rome...street scene...Via dei Condotti, 17. In the background is the Spanish Steps and the church towers above them. The current stores are now different but the background fits.
Looks like the store is now MaxMara, but the Salvatore Ferragamo store across the street is still there today. Cool!
Looks like the 80s threw up all over the street when they come out lol
🤣🤣🤣
Great video! Great scene! Great montage! Chevy Chase's little moonwalk at the very end is classic.
No fucking way could YOU ever be cooler than Dr John!
this is great, has anyone seen rusty's scene in the parisian night club! would love to see that again. lmao classic!
This video left me totally scuzzed out
I like the first trampy dress on Audrey better than the motorcycle one she is wearing. Jack would too.
Gotta love 80s montages, cool music with quick edits. They always go well together
This is how big Chevy and Vacation was in the 80s...their own 80s montage!
i love this scene Chevy Chase knew how to do MJ's Moonwalk at 2:13
Oink oink my good man!
I was waiting for it
scorchedcandy
hahaha I know. Rusty's outfit looks like something out of a Robin Hood movie.
what? this is the coolest scene in the movie, not to mention the awesome song ;D
i love it when the beat kicks in... great movie, great scene, old skool song
god i love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!! i grew up to this and wally world film, still love them and this song should have been in charts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RIP to the angel Dana Hill. God Bless.
Beverly looks good in everything. ;)
yeah Dad I feel totally scuzzed out!
Funny scene, .. . specially when they trek out of that store strutting in those absurd get ups! .. . LMFAO!! Cool song too, . . though I think Fashion by David Bowie or Puttin On The Ritz by Taco would've also suited it.
Catching up. Sorry I’ve been missing. I’m still here and watching. Xoxo 😘
You can find this song on Grooveshark
I wish I lived in the 80s.
I love this song!
lol this is really one of my fav movies xD
It's the 80's so it's hard to tell if the outfit made sense back then.
Steampunk Lady of time Not Rusty's, he looked medievel lol
No they were too outrageous, which was the joke even then. You can tell by all the conservatively dressed people on the street at the end.
lol those clothes! next stop: the circus 😂
Chevy Chase doing the moonwalk. Life is now complete
I love this scene and the music 😍😂👌 and Audrey is hooot and Ellen
the funny thing is that the only thing at the end that i thought was even REMOTELY not ridiculous was the mom's outfit... haha!
Ive actually got captured of this song for more then 3 minutes. I will post it shortly and hopefully people will really enjoy the video clip.
this song kicks ass, and i somehow remember rusty's white jacket peeps wearing that around and audrey(daughter) her wierd outfit kindof on american bandstand on saturday mornings LOL but it was so 1984-1985ish. love it. all they needed was more mullets
songs so 80s an catchy haha love it
"we have plenty of money" Oh, the 80s. Noone in a current movie would say that- the audience would riot in pure jealousy.
I love that song and the movie
Rusty's clothes were the funniest looking of all! Ellen's were kind of okay though.
I remember seeing this when i was 7 in 1989 nice time it was i reckon
great look!
I had a huge crush on red Rusty when I was little! Then I rewatched this movie last night and thought, yep, I do have excellent taste!
Audreys black leather outfit was the best on her
wow what a cool song haha funky funny family hahaha
I'm yet to hear a reasonable explanation for how Audrey's legs are that slim.
She was one of those unfortunate ones with the curse of a normal body and a chubby face / double-chin?
haha! thanks for that.
LOL that movie cracked me up!
Italian Fashions. I'm glad I didn't go in THAT shop when I was in Rome! LOL
best movie soundtrack ever. Thank you Giorgio Moroder :D
No one:
Literally, No one at all:
Jojo characters:
Rusty looked like Luke skywalker from Star Wars.
I've heard a few different songs over this montage on tv. I wonder if the airing of it on tv they had to use different songs.
Same. I’ve heard Pet Shop Boys, and I’ve heard another one I can’t find the same to.
Wtf was Audrey wearing?! I think the other outfits were actually petty cool considering the time
Yes. Russ's Renaissance outfit looks very good for the time.
Nice song
I love the vacation movies
One of the few things i do not miss about the 80's-the fashions
good stuff
Hahaha! How come Rusty looks like a court jester when they're leaving the shop???
The Bundy's on Married With Children sort of copied this scene when they were in England. Its here on youtube somewhere.
Dr john new looks (that's the name of the song) love this movie
& DANA HILL.............I CAN STILL SEE HER LAUGHING
"02:00" 😆 YEAH
Hahaha. Omg
Clark walking out of the store in that outfit is the only laugh I got out of this entire movie. I don't hate the film but it really is a huge comedown from the original.
rustys clothes are absolutely crazy.haha
Than- - Thanks cracked!
2:02 SHREK
Same, the first two films were the best. I'm a fan of Anthony Michael Hall in all the John Hughes movies, but as for Rusty, I thought Lively was better.
Lively was amazing too in this sequel.
Anthony Michael Hall wanted to do Weird Science and not this sequel.
I would SO wear Ellen’s outfit.
eh not me
I feel cool!!!!!
Im just about to put the video up. It has chevy chase in this video. And hopefully everyone will finally hear this song a much longer remix with the scenic of the movie. Keep looking back because it should be uploaded shortly or by now.
Li adoro!
Worst casting for Rusty was Christmas Vacation. He goes from being tall to really short and younger than Audrey.
My favorites: Clark's hat at 0:36, his jacket at 1:04; Audrey's outfit at 1:14; Rusty's jacket at 1:36; whoever is wearing the jacket at 1:48; 1:52- Super Ellen!
What the hell was rusty wearin looks like somethin from a fairytale story
Ready for an MC Hammer concert.
I honestly like this Rusty and Audrie the best.
same here! :-)
DONT YOU PEOPLE GET IT? The Griswolds wanted to buy what they thought was real italian fashion....but we're talking ABOUT the GRISWOLDS! You can clearly see every other italian in the street when they come out of the store is dressed fairly normal, whereas the Griswolds some how do it again and make an ass of themselves. This why they gave this scene a montage. And they did it perfect with this song.
Literally everyone gets that.
Oh, I thought this was a drama and not a comedy. Thanks for explaining that.
"Ellen meet me in the fitting room"
1:15-1:18: NO! You guys and girls know how mothers are. 😆
you can find in google:

i was linked here from cracked's most depressing article (about being in your 20s). somehow i feel better now!
I feel cool LMAO
